In theory one driver could finish 16th every race up and including all of the playoff races and win the championship. In the same light a driver could win 35 races and lose the championship.
Even worse: You could get into the Chase through points alone, no wins. Finish each round with no wins but enough points to take a spot, then show up at the final and be the highest finisher. No wins

Careful people your IQ is showing.
Yeah it's just not right that the guy Kyle Kyle Larson has the most wins and he still gets knocked out of the playoffs because the freaking Denny Hamlin random into the wall three times I mean it was better the old days he didn't know what was going to happen don't let the non-playoff races go home not play like the sticking Ball sports that they're trying to be like it's not sticking ball it's motors and people and racing shouldn't count on One race back in the old days I counted on consistency steady steady steady 10 wins remind me to win the win the championship
Go back to racing what you brought. No playoff bullshit. No section racing pit when you need gas and tires
Go back to the old ways.
I quit watching NASCAR because of their stupid playoff system I will stick to dirt racing on Flo racing
I stopped watching NASCAR cause of the playoffs. It gets worse year after year. I there stupid rules
This format sucks, if you are going to have stick and ball playoffs then everyone not in the playoffs is done racing. Then week to week someone is eliminated unthe winner is the last one left. Screw the playoffs and go back to year end point totals. Do away with stages and race start to finish. The real fans want real racing back. These shows are boring, nascar is manipulating who the champions are not the actual "racing".
This format su
NASCAR SUCKS NOW
Playoffs suck no one likes them
NASCAR sucks now!
NASCAR that I grew up with in the 80’s, 90’s and up to 2003 is dead. It’s now a woke communist run sport that lost its fan base because of that. I on the other hand don’t miss nhra and Smoke because it’s appealing and they have a voice. I refer to the sport now as NASCOMMUNISM. You can’t say anything without being fined
Where's Mike now?
When they went to current format I stopped watching all NASCAR
I stopped all nascar when it started to look like Toyota owned nascar. Every race it’s a complete Toyota fest. Every commercial. Pace car the commentators must get paid a spiff to talk about every toyopet car. You can have three footed. Two chevys up front.,, and the focus on bubba. As a vet. Setting Air Force stickers on a Toyota was all I could handle. Somehow. Toyota told nacsar that the sport could only survive with Toyota. Well. Show me a race that’s sold out? Front and backstretch since Toyota has arrived. It’s a mess.
Noosecar has come and gone people will be leaving in droves bye BYE noosecar
