    These are amazing! Have you had any issues with godox flashes setup on different channels but yet both "all" still trigger? I've been having that issue lately.... On a side note do you only use prime lenses now for the most part except for the 70-200mm. I'm wondering if a 24-70mm would still be beneficial since I already have a 35 and 85mm primes. Sometimes changing lenses can get quite annoying when a group wants a picture right away.

    So during the ceremony when you threw the flash on...you are still just shooting at your normal settings and using the flash as extra light? Or are you doing the whole (don’t know the exact wording) where you shoot a test shot and it’s almost all the way black that way you’re only using the flash for light? (If that makes sense at all)

    Amazing video.. Great framing.. only thing I concern is the closeup sharpness may be because of TH-cam compression. Rest the angles framing concept amazing.. thank you for sharing this awesome video. I learned lots from your video.. thank you so much.

    Unbelievable how many shots you take. I started in the late 70's and used a Hasselblad for most weddings- 12 frames per roll, with each roll needing to be developed and proofed- with nothing other than a light meter to be sure that exposures were right. Nothing could be done after the film was exposed other than having the lab push, pull, burn or dodge. Retouching a negative was an incredibly expensive and/or time consuming investment. It was such a different experience knowing that I had to compose each shot with incredible care. Although I've been working with computers rather than in the darkroom over the past 20 years I do wish that every photographer challenged themselves to limit themselves to a set number of exposures using "old fashioned" lighting techniques to test and improve their skills on a frame by frame basis. It's such a different world now when everyone has a camera and very few have worked with film in a darkroom. We've gained the ability to be fool proof, but it means that so many more fools can get involved as tradespeople rather than craftspeople. Spoken like an old photographer and so thankful to have worked in that bygone era.

    • @TaylorJacksonPhoto
      @TaylorJacksonPhoto  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yep. Times are different now. There’s a market again for film though. It’s just about $70 to buy/develop/scan from a pro lab including shipping since very few local labs are still around

    Started re-watching all of these to watch the off-camera flash work and try and wrap my head around it more. But have a completely unrelated question - What XQD card are you using (or settings, more likely) that allow you over a 20 image buffer and over 2.2k images on the card? I just get around a thousand with a 128 gb XQD. Painful!

    I am using my V1 to ounce off the wall in receptions / first dance etc. but it overheats frequently. Have you noticed this too? I know a bigger unit with a fan would not run into this problem but I don’t really want to carry a bigger unit. Maybe the AD100?

    Hi Taylor, great video thanks. I’m a British wedding photographer and it really interested me how in the USA you have a first look segment to your day. In the uk the first look is always at the ceremony as she walks down the aisle. Is that the norm in the US or is it just something you incorporate? Thanks

    • @madelynwilson669
      @madelynwilson669 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      it’s a very personal thing for the couple! some couples prefer it but others opt for a more traditional first look as the bride walks down the isle.

    I have a big problem with my V1. I hope someone could help me to figure out something. I bought a GODOX V1F for my FUJI X-T3. I tried the various settings and everything worked initially...now it no longer fire, not even pressing the test button. I tried to connect the X-PRO trigger, same result. The modeling light turns on and everything else work properly.
