To my knowledge, sublimation has to use a specific type of ink. You can turn certain types of printers into sublimation printers though. For example, my sublimation printer is an Epson ET 2720. I just use sublimation ink instead of regular ink.
@@cherylhomans8422 The only way I am familiar with would be to paint the board before sublimating. You should be able to use polyacrylic in your paint and sublimate on the paint without having to add the laminate sheet.

What is the thickness of the wood you have used?
Maybe a quarter of an inch. Any thickness should work though, depending on your heat press.
What temp and times do you use when using a large locking heat press
I personally keep the temps and times the same.
