I think they are 2/3 ton, I’m not 100% sure. I have bigger ones but I was too lazy to get them from the back of the garage 😂 thank you very much, it’s not perfect but I do love it
So I just changed the links on my d1 as well but I cant get the sway bar back in. It's like the bar has become a good 1.5 inch longer😅 did you have any issues with this?
Hmm that’s a strange one! Have you got the bar the right way round and are the links going up and not down? Mine was a bit one sided so I had to use a pry bar to pull it back inline
@@TheNorthernExplorer attaching the links is the bit I can't do. I can get the rh side in while attached to the bar but the other side has to go onto the axle first. But the when I try to line up the bolt at the top of the link with the arm of the bar that goes on it thats where I get the issue. I managed to get a few threads through the hole so I out the nut on and tightened it up but it squished the bushes unevenly so I undid it and have yet to have another go. Any ideas?😅
@@AnthonyHester-m7l maybe try some grease on the bolt and bushes so it goes through easily then only push the bolt part way through until you can get the bar on then hopefully the grease should let it tighten without snagging the bushes
Thanks for sharing. Videos like this brings me back to keep on working on my d1.

Those little lights really tidy the front end up! Have you got a nice test drive lined up? 😅
Thanks neale, I do have a route planned I just need some free time. The transfer box still needs work so can’t go too far
What is the tire size, and what size of lift 2-3"?
What You think about body lift 1"?
I have 2 inch on the front and 2.5 on the rear. Body lift is okay but you have to change bumper mounts and extend the gear levers

@@TheNorthernExplorer yes and yes. I was thinking of using a ratchet strap to pull it in. I also don't have a very flat drive which doesn't help
@@AnthonyHester-m7l yes the uneven drive won’t help. I would attach the links first then lift up to the chassis
