If you're a minority and renounce the Malaysian citizenship, the bumiputera wins. The religion, marriage and visa policies are meant to keep you out, not in. Pretty sure if that happens, they're gonna have resentment towards you.
Well Malaysia belongs to the Bumiputras and Malays. If Malaysia is going to be fixed, I believe only the Malays can save Malaysia right now. For myself I have to make a decision, and we only life one life so make the most of it. I don't intend to return to stay. The Western world is open, its a melting pot here in Australia. I make this comment as a Christian. Most Asian countries like Singapore and Malaysia do not allow dual citizenship. They have laws against it. So you are breaking the law by not renoucing your citizenship once you become a citizen of another country such as USA, UK, Australian etc. The bible says all liars or they that love to lie shall be thrown into hell Rev 21:8; 22:15. If you are a Christian you are practicing a lie everytime you use your Malaysian/Singaporean identity card or passport when you are a citizen of another country like the USA, UK etc. Even if the authorties don't find out, God knows and that would cost you heaven or hell. So don't lie and maintain dual citizenship otherwise you are a fake Christian in judgement of hell fire!

if you’re still a malaysian citizen, then you’re not stateless. When you renounce, they will need prove of your other citizenship.
@@imraphraph Any Malaysian citizen who live at overseas but never register their local address and report themselves to Malaysian embassy and declare their intention to retain Malaysian citizenship after few years their Malaysian citizenship will be revoke automatically is that right (according to the Clause #5 of the rules of Malaysian passport on the last second page)?
@@imraphraph Few months ago a Malaysian Indian man named Nadaraja who made a video which critised Malaysian Sultan and Malaysian Government,Malaysian police requested INTERPOL to issue red code warrant of arrest against him,in this circumstance his Malaysian citizenship to be renounce automatically/deprive/revoke?

Hey Raphael, what an insightful and very helpful video as I am opting to become a Canadian 🇨🇦 citizen soon due to personal reasons. But I got a little confused at that part when you said to renounce Malaysian citizenship you must hold a foreign passport for ease of process. So does that mean I have to hold a Canadian citizenship first before I renounce my Msian citizenship? But then again wouldn't the Canadian government question my current citizenship?
If Canada allows dual like Australia it doesn’t matter. Its an issue only on the Malaysian side
Hi Raphael, i will have to fly in with my Malaysia passport, so after renouncing the passport (with no passport on hand and without foreign passport), what should I do to be able to fly out of the country?
Why don‘t you just renounce your citizenship in the country that you want to be its citizenship? It‘s easier but it takes time.
Hi Raphael, will I still be able to renounce my malaysian citizenship at JPN if I do not have a malaysian IC and malaysian passport? Just to confirm I will have to book an appointment for going down to the JPN right?
Also I do not understand malay at all, will there be any english speaker to help me or can i get someone to follow me down?
Hey @@clownclown7709 from my understanding you will be required to surrender your IC and passport over and you will need to make an appointment. The rules may have changed as this was done a few years ago.
But yes do have your passport and ic for submission.
@@imraphraph I see I don’t have a Malaysian IC and Malaysian passport in the first place. Btw for the passport photo the background must be blue?
@@clownclown7709 in that case give them a call and ask if you can renounce without the documents. Personally if I dont have those documents because maybe you lived overseas and never applied for them I would just leave it at that.
@imraphraph - are you still active on IG? I couldn't find you and want to ask some questions thank you!
Hi Raphael, i will travel to malaysia this December, i already have my Australia passport, if i renounce my malaysia citizenship at malaysia embassy before i fly back to malaysia in December, and use Australia passport to travel to malaysia while the renounce process still on going, is that gonna be any trouble?
No I don’t think you will, I use to travel on my aus passport into Malaysia while still having dual citizenship that time.
@@imraphraph so you mean i can still keep my malaysia passport? Just use aus passport for travel to malaysia? But my place of birth in aus passport show pulau penang, will this be suspicious for the officer to check my malaysia citizenship? What if i get caught im holding 2 citizenship?
I dont mind to keep malaysia citizenship, just i saw on google it if we keep for more than 5 years we might get in the jail and fine.
Hi, do I need to have a valid Malaysian passport to proceed the renunciation?
If you have one existing on hand and not outdated then yes.
If you're a minority and renounce the Malaysian citizenship, the bumiputera wins. The religion, marriage and visa policies are meant to keep you out, not in. Which is why it's near impossible to get your Malaysian citizenship back.
Also it's not nice to change the demographics in Australia from mostly white to Chinese.
Resentment is everywhere no matter where you go, at least life here you are given close to an equal opportunity to make it.
@@imraphraph Western world isn't going to be open for long though. At any given moment it could change very quickly. People in western countries are getting restless with the idea foreigners refusing to assimilate to come to their country. Why not move to Taiwan, HK, Sg, or China? You're more safer with your own people than going to other people's countries.
@@potatoeskimos as a diaspora Chinese we are second class citizens everywhere. We don't really belong to China and any other place.
Since when have western countries been restless with foreigners ? Western countries are democratic and migrants who became citizens now hold voting rights to change government policies. So what you have said isn't true.
Life in Australia is much better in my opinion, better healthcare, better work life balance, cleaner air, stronger purchasing power. Why would I want to go to asia?
But then again this is my opinion.
@@imraphraph What I find it hard to understand is why do you think countries populated by your own people is not a better place for you. I don't blame you for being opportunistic, I would move to a western country too, but then again Malays aren't exactly immigrating everywhere, and creating enclave in foreign countries. Malays are very much spread out. The problem here is, if your community are significant enough to vote for policies favouring them, then you're going against the locals, which does rings some bells ey..
@@potatoeskimos We all look through different lenses. It's really hard to explain but diaspora Chinese are never really accepted anywhere.
You have to be Chinese in Malaysia to understand. Most Chinese love Malaysia but there are many reasons why they leave. It's too long for me to explain here. Perhaps speak to people who have moved abroad.
Hey brother, u still can speak malay?
Hi I can speak conversationally only.

hi Raphael may I know how long does it take to withdraw my EPF money after I renounce my citizenship at JPN ???
btw thanks for the video it's really helpful :) 👍🏻
Hey there I was told it took 14 days but in reality it took slightly more than a month for it to be processed. I got it sent to my overseas bank account because I could not wait anymore, plus my local bank account was closed.
@@imraphraph Hi Raphael, how did u request to transfer out all the epf fund? Did they give you a form to fill during renunciation?
@@skinnycheesy I filled up the form after I got my renunciation certificate. Then communicated with them via phone and email to send overseas.
Doe's any Malaysians wants to exchange there citizenship with me ?? I am French citizenship and i want to renounce it !!! So if someone is interest please let me know looooooool ✌
When they are young and healthy, they see other countries as greener pastures. So they renounce their Malaysian citizenship and become new citizens of their preferred countries. When they grow old with no insurance policy and less savings, the are facing the difficulties to bear the high cost of the health care.
I only have another few decades to live on this earth, so some of us decide to make a choice and we have to live with it. At this moment Australia is the place I want to raise my child.
Just to let you know dahlan, some countries offer pension and free healthcare to all citizen/and prs (where the author is). So that being said , there is indeed a safety net. Unlike malaysia unfortunately. So i feel obliged to correct you, that being said, the ‘greener pasture’ here last till you somewhat die.

Hi Raphael, What do you mean by "renunciation letter"?
Is that the Borang K, which is "the Renunciation of Malaysian Citizenship Declaration"?
My daughter says that is all she got. Borang K and her BC back.
