I would particularly like the 1/4oz size. Most 1/4oz coins are really close to the size of a nickel. It would be amazing to see a buffalo nickel next to its 1/4 oz gold counterpart.
They obviously have the capability to do great things when they want to, such as the 2023 American Liberty High Relief $100 Gold Coin (Perseverance). I would love to see some additional gold and silver COINS with classic and classy American designs.
Stateside, you nailed it. The first thing you said was bring back the fractional gold buffalos! I shouted out loud at the tv in agreeance! I didn't even realize they had made the buffalo in silver coins. Wish they'd bring that back, too. The security features definitely need an upgrade. I 2nd everything you said. I'm not big on bars, but if the U.S. Mint made some, I'd probably pick a few up. Wouldn't it be sweet if they had a kilo sized type 1 eagle? Guess we'll never see that. Hopefully they'll take your advice and get their act together. LOL. I won't hold my breath, though. Great video man!
I agree with all that and all that would be cool. But they would probably be priced extremely high like eagles are now. But I would definitely pick up several larger silver or gold eagles and buffaloes. But since they don't, I just picked up a 1 kilo kookaburra Monday morning. Thanks as always Mr. Stash 🦅🦬🦘🍁
This will be met with hate, but I would retire the Buffalo design all together, design a complete new coin, with 3 security features, something wildlife or patriotic, crossed riffles with our flag, something new, make a gold and silver version, in all frac sizes, hire an engraver from the perth mint, something!!!
I would like to see them first get rid of Ventris Gibson, the director/CEO of US Mint. She is running the company down. Has little to NO experience to run that company. A majority of coin collectors dont even buy from them anymore, and also the prices have gotten carried away. No thanks, they definitely need a change, bring in someone that has years of experience.
DUDE, that buffalo is awesome I don’t know it was made as a coin. Good score👍🏻. That would do well if they brought it back, but could you imagine the premium they would have Smart video 👍🏻 👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
They did have the 5 ounce state quarters during that program, but they were quite ugly. One year, they released 6 new quarter designs and for about 3 months, the silver content of the 6 proof silver quarters set was below spot and i must have bought 50 sets! They don't make those mistakes now. I also agree that most of the commemorative silver and gold coins are woke and definitely not in my collection. What would be great would be a release of a series of proofs and uncirculated of some of the trade dollar designs. Some of the old designs were quite beautiful. I could also see a one kilo bar with the 1896 $1 educational note on the front, wow! Thanks for inspiring us:D with your stacking!
For sure bring back discontinued coins, more variety, sizes all good stuff. This will be the only time in my life I will say this "the US needs to be more like Canada and Mexico" LMAO!!! I am not in debt. My bank needs my money, they want my money, so they can make their money. Why do I have to go a coin shop or online for my silver? Both Canadian and Mexican banks carry it for purchase just for their customers that hold accounts. I also think this is why Canada has such a large selection of coinage especially compared to the US. The banks are FDIC insured and the feds control interest rates. Make gold and silver available in banks!
Unlike other mints, including other sovereign mints like the Royal Canadian Mint, the US Mint may only produce coins or medals as specified in 31 USC 5111 and 31 USC 5112. These regulations narrowly specify what types of coins and medals the US Mint may produce in terms of dimensions, metal content, face value, etc. These regulations do not currently permit the US Mint to produce bars or ingots as such items would not fit any of the small number of specific types of items very carefully and narrowly defined in these regulations. Unlike many other mints, the function of the US Mint historically has been to produce sound uniform circulating coins for commerce. The US Mint's latitude to produce other products like commemorative coins, medals, proof sets and bullion coins are afterthoughts that have been reluctantly permitted by acts of Congress to address demands of collectors over the years and in hopes of adding profit centers to offset the losses incurred by the government minting circulating coinage. To advance the idea of the US Mint producing bars or ingots that are not legal tender would require Congressional action.
Save the mint. You got to be kidding me . With all of the different types of coins and all of the different types of metals that they can make sets and the individual commemoratives, it seems like every time that you turn around they are starting a different coin and/or set and charging a MINT (LOL) for them (not an LOL) that they are pissing off someone. They had an excellent idea with the STATE quarter program and they attracted all kinds of different people and different types of people. They had actually did get a lot of people with numismatics or coin collecting. But they couldn’t leave well enough alone. No!!!!! . They got greedy. They saw all of the people being drawn a lot more of different people that they just had to keep going back to the well. As a result, they started all kinds of different ways people would start collecting coins. Like I said, they didn’t have enough brain power to know when to quit. I don’t think that the mint can resurrect the interest in coins that the state quarters program had. They just pissed off too many people when they tried to keep the interest of coins that (from being tossed ) the state quarter program did.
Great comments Brother! Look to me if the President can get Dudes with D&$?’s influencers from social platforms you would think he would say “ let’s ask those who stack S&G what they think”!

They need to give us bars. Nothing feels more american than a safe with USA gold and silvers bars in it.
That’s what I’m saying! Give us 10oz bars!

When did she get in there? We need some creativity
I would absolutely agree with the frac Buffs! Those would do so well now that gold has gotten out of reach for so many!
Exactly, it would be the only thing I would stack if they brought those back
I would love to see them make the 1oz,5oz, and 10 oz ASE bars like the RCM!
That’s what I’m saying brother!

Thanks brother!
Spot on! On everything.
Thanks brother!
Maybe. Quit the 1 oz medal and go to the effort to get it issued as a coin. Stop with the woke nonsense.
Define woke.
I'm not going to get the flowing hair medal because it's not a coin. Not all of us can afford gold
The premiums on fractional gold will .........CRUSH YOU !!!!!
True but not everyone can afford an ounce of gold
Be a LEADER man !!!!!!!!

A kilo would be amazing!

They were very close to beating the Royal Canadian Mint in the silver Olympics lol
If they stayed type one and had a different security feature they would top all coins.

Maybe Stateside should run the US Mint get yourself elected into the mint so that you can save it.

Variety would be nice
They do issue dimes quarters halfs in silver. Mint changed from .900 to .999 in 2019.
