Thanks mate. You're a legend. My heater blower wasn't working at all on my new car. I followed all your instructions and discovered the power transistor was completely missing!

Thanks for the troubleshooting ideas. This will save me a bunch of time as I am watching little ones right now but will diagnose the problem when they take their naps today! Plan ahead and save time. Thanks again!

Thanks so much! It was my resistor/transistor. Connecting the 2 wires made my fan turn, so I know the problem!

love your video, short, sweet and precise. Still have a problem with my Blower Motor. All fuses are good. Question: How much do the Controls (Climate Control) play in the Blower motor process below the radio? The fan switch speed control, the AC and the Mode control buttons are deader then a door nail. How do I trouble shoot these Switches/connections please.

Replaced the resistor and blower works now! $65 fix. Fs t forward 2 weeks and now blower is on constantly on lower speed. Off/on switch won't shut it off, only key off. If you turn fan control speed up the fan speed does increase.. I'll swap relays. Any other ideas? Thanks

My 2004 Accord EX 4 cyl fan stopped working. When I pulled the 7.5 amp fuse from slot 30, I lost clock & radio even though fuse is good. Checked fuse by using spare. I checked fuses under hood & blower motor & saw nothing wrong. Any advice what to do next?

Great info. If I measure across the blower motor connector and get 12V+ can I assume the blower motor is gone?

    • @LehewTech
      @LehewTech  4 ปีที่แล้ว

Yes that is very likely! One last thing you can do, use the pins at the blower motor connector to power up a small bulb. This small load will indicate if what your measuring is "phantom voltage."

Okay so my transmitor and motor have been replaced but now the motor continues to blow on high speed even when the knob is turned to off. Any troubleshooting? It happened out of nowhere when I went to defrost my rear windows

Remember in the video when he mentions the two big wires being connected to run the motor full blast all the time? You could have an accidentally connection

Hey buddy thanks for the info but I am when swapping the relays, things still didn’t work. The blower work because we tested it with another. The fuse it also intact and looks great but again when swapping the relay nothing changed. Any other ideas

Then you move onto the resistor/transmitter and then to the Stereo/heater control head unit.

All of my fuses and relays are good and my fan motor still isn't blowing. I jumped it directly from the battery and the fan motor works fine with an actual 12-volt power source but when everything is connected back together I get nothing. Any ideas?
Nevermind.. it turned out to be the motor resistor with the cooling fins on the back. Apparently it got moisture on it somehow and shorted out.

I feel like this is my problem since I live in Canada and the temp just dropped I'm thinking condensation is the problem. Also when I first started to realize an electronic issue I was almost positive condensation took effect without looking at any fuses

Here we go. I have a 2003 honda accord xd. 4 cl. This is my issue.
I had 2 different auto parts to check on my alternator and batteries. What is happening is when the car gets turned on, sometimes everything works great, until the battery light starts blinking my air bags signal comes on and the car start running rough. After it's warm up and turns on and then off during the day, the airbags signal goes away and car runs smoothly but batteries signal blinks but not that often. I had seen a lot of videos but none talked about my issues, I tried replacing all fuses nothing changes, check wires lines, looked on line for electronic load detector and my car doesn't seem to have one or the auto parts has nothing comparable, so don't know how to get this issue resolved. Please help me out. I will really appreciate it. It's driving me crazy 🤪

Use a scan tool to pull codes from every module after this problem occurs. I suspect that your alternator may be intermittently malfunctioning which can cause these symptoms. If that is the case, you may retrieve several trouble codes from the various modules that refer to voltage out of range or under/over volt conditions as well as lost communication codes.

I changed out my blower motor and it is blowing air but now it's not cold anymore... 🤷🏻‍♂️
My old motor was on it's last leg but cold air was blowing when it did work.
Not sure what it could be, would appreciate any help 🙂

Be careful. The accord has 2 different designs on their resistor. Make sure to purchase one for your 2 door or 4 door.
