Rod/reel combo with fishing kit as an emergency setup th-cam.com/users/postUgkxntWMOZsO1Zfv-pdn_XuffEtNkTYAYu4Z recommend but started to use this every day. The rod is thick and seems durable. I keep it neatly tucked into a regular backpack all the time with my fishing gear, and can grab it anytime, put it on my back and go anywhere. I just read in another review that the rod length below the reel is adjustable as well, so I will try that too for even more portability. Probably the best setup I've ever owned. I lost the cap for the eyelets, but no big deal since I still have the black cloth sheath that came for the pole and I use that. Very portable and high quality.
Wow just seeing this out of the box th-cam.com/users/postUgkxQr1yd4Zc6qJF-scTB6Zb9dQbVpviuRxB recommend I have yet to fish with this set up, but based on the first hands on appeal, I can tell this is going to change the way i pack and carry to a whole new level. If you fish like i do, you know the smaller and less stuff the better. I’ve added a photo of just some of my gear so you can see how serious i am about fishing.
Awaiting your return. Sparked my interest in bfs and telescopic rods it's all I been testing lately. Pray all is well with your child and wife. I know dealing with a 2 year old, wife and work is no easy task. I'm in the same boat. Then trying to run a TH-cam channel. Anyways looking forward to seeing videos in the future.
hi, i marked my 4 piece rods at the joins after seeing your tip it makes it so much easier to set up or realign because they come out of alignment easy while using. i just used a couple of dots a (rather than a line) with a white ink artline it looks a lot neater cheers from fremantle, western australia
Hi from France ! I have a question about the BBB rod : could you tell me if the tip is full or hollow please ? Thank you for your answer and your vidéos !!! 👍
Greetings Brian. What an absolute pro you are. your post is so informative and makes sense. Have subbed to your channel AND A MASSIVE THUMB UP. Tight lines Siir.
Hello, how are you, greetings, could you tell me if you know, what would be the difference between Daiwa 666 and Daiwa 636 telescopic rod? thank you I would appreciate it
what does the "f" stand for in TLFS? I'm assuming it's for "fast" action? Telescopic-Light-Fast-Spinning? asking because I have a 705TMLS and a 665TMB and was thinking of picking up one of these on my next trip to Japan, thanks!
I doubt anyone will read this but just as a comment to ruin life 😆 I'm pretty sure these rods are manufactured in Taiwan I purchased a bbb 636 same packaging from daiwa Japanese packaging and everything and I translated it on the packaging and it says it's made in Taiwan and if you check their website with a bit of digging they also say that they manufacture them in Taiwan it just kind of seems A bit annoying that they have all of this Japanese packaging yet they don't put it in English that it's made in Taiwan lol I know for a lot of people this won't be an issue but it kind of ticks me off because you kind of think that you're supposed to be getting a japanese-made product
😂 idk but i got mine from jdm tackle heaven and my wife accidentally broke the tip of my 636 BBB and they asked Daiwa according to rep took sometime for daiwa to respond but they got a tip section replacement sent free i just need to pay shipping which was like 13 bucks and that happened close to a year or a bit past my order date so they definitely got my business customer service is excellent
What are you using to mark them with and how often do you need to reapply? I used silver permanent marker but it keeps rubbing off after a couple of uses. I wish they came pre-marked from the manufacturer.
Yep URaninTheUglyForest is correct, I use a silver paint pen. I usually have to remark it every month or 2, I havent found a way to mark it such the it doesnt rub off after awhile.
hey BCSG, Ive heard about the rod but never was really interested til I saw this video. first fish landed was a KBL on a rubber grub. I must say this is a really comfortable rod for light luring. thanks for the info and tips!
Going to buy this rod, was interested in it before, now after seeing your video I definitely want one.If the backbone of the rod happens to be off, what should I do...?:)
Hi Brian, Love your vids and advices !!! I’m pretty interested by BFS fishing and need your input on something : I’m the proud owner of a morethan PE SV 8.1 baitcasting reel and would like to know if I can use it for BFS ? Thanks 👍
Hi, I was looking for the daiwa 666 TUMBLR bite casting rod but seams impossible to find it . I need a LM/M rod to travel with to use with a Bite Casting Reel . Any suggestion ? I don’t mind for the price just a good one . Thanks :)
What are they rated at i need one that is 10 to 15kg rated any help would be awesome had a 3kg catfish on a 0-5kg shimano telescopic rod and the rod was nearly bent to a right angle pulling it in thought the rod was going to snap. Any help would be awesome thanks.
Wondering any recommendations for other telescopic rods? I like TLS rods for the ease of transport and storage. Apart for its Cons, as pple say they are not as strong as a 1 or 2 pc.
The thing about telescopic rods is it's true to an extent, they arent as strong as 1 or 2 pc rods. But that is because 90% of the available tele rods are cheap and low quality, there are barely any mid range options. It's either very cheap or expensive, and the quality also follows suit. You can check out Tailwalk Outback telescopic rods. Saber tackle carries them.
I would double check that it's made in Japan I just ordered the 636 TMRB it has the same packaging it's made it by daiwa but it's manufactured in Taiwan I had to translate the box lol as far as I can tell all of the rods are manufactured in the daiwa facility in Taiwan
+BCSG Fishing Do you happen to know the name of the smallest version of this one?? I've been trolling around Amazon but couldn't find a smaller version of this for my pan fishing combo. Cool video demo btw :) Am always of a big fan of Daiwa rods :)
Amazing!!! I got exactly the same rod about a month ago!!! Im newly subscribed (since today) and i love your content! I hope you'll take a look at my fishing channel too!

BCSG Fishing you go over it with clear nail polish to kind of clear coat it after you use the paint marker.
hey BCSG, Ive heard about the rod but never was really interested til I saw this video. first fish landed was a KBL on a rubber grub. I must say this is a really comfortable rod for light luring. thanks for the info and tips!
How long is the case? Would it fit in the average sized luggage?
I think it is something like 50cm, maybe less. Yes it will definitely fit even in a carry on sized luggage.
BCSG Fishing hi im english do carp fishing if u ever done any could it hold a 10lbs lake carp as dunno how hard bass fight
Wait... are you putting a baitcaster on that TLFS?
Marking the rod seems like a good idea but won't the mark rub off from collapsing and extending the rod?
Hi, is this rod good? Daiwa Bass Rodbait BBB 666 TMLRB Bass fishing rod
what type of marker did you use to mark the rod, permanent obviously but what is best?
I use a white paint marker. Sharpies don't seem to work very well.
Great video.
Going to buy this rod, was interested in it before, now after seeing your video I definitely want one.If the backbone of the rod happens to be off, what should I do...?:)
It's to see someone not whipping a survival knife out for an unboxing ... box knife be just fine.... thank you

Hi. Is that the "Diawa Telescopic Medium-Heavy Action Accudepth Trolling Rod (1 Piece), 7'10"?"
Wondering any recommendations for other telescopic rods?
I like TLS rods for the ease of transport and storage.
Apart for its Cons, as pple say they are not as strong as a 1 or 2 pc.
