Just a thought….your steel brace in the ali backbone. BMW fix steel body to cast Ali top mounts using adhesive and rivets. Would a similar adhesive give your extender a bit more strength along with the bolts? Videos are definitely not boring, really interesting 👊🏻
Hey mate. Love the vids, you have converted me to running an mx5 rear subframe in my project also. One thing i can see though is you have set the rear suspension up at full bump when chassis is laid out. This now means if you happen to run any bigger wheel now it wont lay out. Just a thought
Yo dude, it doesn’t show it well in the videos but I measured the rear out to the biggest tyre I will run, when it’s on the mx5 alloys and bolted to the body there is spare drop on the arms. I also fancy the idea of a slight forward rake but I’ll decide that once it’s all back together and I can get a good visual look at how it sits!
