Scandroid, the modern Synthwave project from Detroit based artist/producer Klayton, best known for his multi-genre project Celldweller, is Klayton’s love letter to the 80s.
The debut, self-titled album features 15 tracks, ranging from the driving instrumental energy of "Destination Unknown," to melodic vocal tracks like "Awakening With You," "Aphelion," and "Neo-Tokyo," rounded out with the cinematic epics "2517" & "Singularity." As a child of the 80s, Klayton has also included a cover of the classic Tears For Fears song "Shout," that he has been patiently waiting to cover since he first heard the song on U.S. radio in 1985. The digital album concludes with a bonus remix from synthwave artist Waveshaper. The 72 minute album depicts themes of a cyberpunk future where humans and sentient robots struggle to find a connection in their dystopian world.
Following the international success of the debut Scandroid album (Top 10 iTunes Electronic Album USA, Russia, Canada, Germany, United Kingdom, Australia & #5 Billboard Electronic Album), each vocal track from the eponymous release has received official remixes that take the synthwave epic to new horizons on the full-length remix album 'Dreams of Neo-Tokyo.' Available in multiple formats, including Limited Edition Cassette, so grab your Walkman and crank 'Dreams of Neo-Tokyo' to 11 with remixes from Blue Stahli, Dance With The Dead, Daniel Deluxe, d.notive, GosT, Makeup and Vanity Set, Maks_SF, PYLOT, Scandroid & Waveshaper.

Anyone get the feeling this music video & song is actually about Klayton & his love for his studio?
Everything makes sense now
nah robots in a paradise is way cooler
Klayton's the definition of MGTOW
+all sounds the same - intelligent music Never, ever... EVER, disrespect Klayton like that ever again.
Well, his studio IS his eden.
Ugh. I really want that jacket. It looks so cool.

I don't think it's the same one, but thanks!
The logo is very aesthetically pleasing. Thanks for the link @Alice. I am ordering this RIGHT NOW
Why did you have to share this.... hhnnnnnnggg
It's the middle of summer and here I am trying not to buy a jacket
80s style, love it
What the hell...it always amazes me that Klayton composes all these awesome songs alone !
in a time when music videos try to be as noisy and flashy as possible, your simplistic and artists take on things is refreshing
That Mohawk though..
it's red swoosh cut
This has some of the best vocals I've heard in a long time. This guy has that retro vocal sound perfected. Reminiscent of Howard Jones vocal style.
Argentina Loves You! OMG you`re amazing!
We never left Eden 🌹
This song is GODLIKE!!
Thank goodness for study hall!
The song still gives me goosebumps. Easily one of the best albums of the past year.
Also, I need that jacket.
Favorite song on the album, happy to see a video for it
First impression: Why is he alone? Second: Oh, I get it! What a cool collection of toys and japanese stuffs! Love the way the backgrounds had been prepd. Awesome!
Klayton, my little angel ❤
I knew his voice sounded familair and that hairstyle, that's klayton from celldweller!
Damn! I'd want this song to be played at my wedding.
Retro style done right. Wish more music videos produced for more songs...awesome music overall and very enjoyable albums
Klayton = Genius! Every project a highlight!
This is such a 💎! UNDERRATED!!!!
a futuristic city wouldve been awesome! great vid!
Klayton should be a YU-GI-OH Main protagonist because how he dress and the hair
Holy Ra you're right!
Dude so you mean I'm not the only one who associates him with Yugioh? I literally imagine Awakening With You as being the song about the genesis of Cyberse kind as something that diverged from machine types into something new within their Eden made of electricity.
He's alternate universe joey
Your music is the sound of 2020 for me. This and punk rock is all I'm listening to this year.
Гипнотизирующее музло)
Huh. This video has changed how I think about Eden, as a place in the album's narrative. First hearing the song, I assumed Eden was everything he sang about--a perfect paradise that would last forever. But now it seems more likely he's reflecting on what he was told about Eden, as opposed to what it actually turned out to be. It looks like Red was either lied to about Eden, or something happened to it.
...Well, I suppose if Red ended up in a perfect Eden for eternity, there'd be no reason for Scandroid to release a second album. XD So, good for that.
Harold W that actually changes the way the video looks. I didn't think about that. hmmm.. I know 'Awakening With You' is about Adam and Eev... is Eden about them too and Red is walking through eden? We know certain songs are about Red, because they reference 'Aphelion' who is his love interest, but the rest are probably about Adam? idk. I've thought long and hard about the Celldweller/Scandroid universe
I think it's about how AI is what connects us all and that there's been a reawakening of it across the world. I also think it's about how everyone's version of paradise is different. Eden was the birthplace of creation.
Hence the diamond shape opening, the kid on the wallpaper looking through a telescope, the robots, the Asian typography, the Hindu Ganesh statues which represents a religion that believes in life after death/a rebirth and the reference to the Christian birthplace of creation, which is Eden. Christianity also believes in life after death/a rebirth.
got to love that retro 80s look and feeling
I fell in love with this song for the second time after watching this MV.
Thank you Klayton!
I loved this song the 1st time I heard it even before the MV.
Klayton and BT need to have a showdown over who rocks that Flock of Seagulls haircut the sickest.
Collab the soundtrack, while you're at it.
YES! This needs to be a thing
Puto Gonzalez BT is horrible now. He used to be good but sold out to make more mainstream edm.
Mike D actually he just came out with an untitled album that is a not at all like "A song Across wires"
BT's always been a more authentic electronic artist than Klayton. Check out his latest meditative works.
In my Cyberpunk 2077 V looks like Klayton :D
Man this Scandroid guy looks and sounds a lot like Klayton
Wonder if they're twins or something
nice joke, dude!
@account I don't use anymore Actually they must be clones because they also look awfully similar to the lead singer of Circle of Dust.
OKay this is beautiful.
Cool
awesome! 💜😁
Easily my favorite. So ethereal.
cool I like 0:44 that anime arts
Klayton's voice has become something unique to me it's like the voice of god
(Southern accent) America is our paradise forever!! lol
Mr Albert, this is real music. You are very talented!
we need tracks like this in the ready player one movie coming next year , it would be sooo damn fitting.
Makes me wanna be in an unreachable world
Idoloooooooo
just a beautiful clip for a beautiful song)
Normally, watching a video where the band is shown kinda ruins it for me, but this just made it better...I think it's the hair :D
Huh, I always imagined this song as kind of an anthem, either Red or Adam speaking out to the rest.
Atom you mean? 🙃
Yet again another wonderful masterpiece
cool
Klayton is so cute when he is singing to the camera =)
super schön
Finally, seeing him in the flesh instead of pixels xD I do love him in pixels tho
where can i get this jacket?
Right?
*[insert Spongebob "I need it!" meme]*
I love the new music and videos Klayton... please keep up all the hard work and thank you!
His hair is fucking majestic.
GREAT !!!
Awesome!! Can't wait to hear/see more!
Brilliant!
Love this. Classy music and cool video. I would not mind seeing similar stuff in the future.
This looks like a cheap-ass sci-fi short film and I freaking love it!! ⚡ 🕶️
Amazing!
Could have included a scenario like a lost love or something... love the song that much...
Superb!
Me showing my mom my new studio apartment that i pay 600 a month for
awesome
Killer tune!!
1:58 the Japanese sign at the top says "Aikido".
How do u know
@sonk LMAO xD
Kimi buldum
Breathtaking, as always... :)
I used to exclusively listen to instrumental synthwave, but I had to go back and get all the regular albums :D
Another legend...
Klayton I love u man.......
i wonder if the fact that the video is hidden or "private" is because only a few can find "Eden", if that was on purpose it's awesome :B, anyway great song as always, keep up the good work klayton.
I feel like I'm standing in the TV
Oh damn
I really like that jacket Clayton :)
Definitely getting some Big Blue (Melee) or Guile’s Theme vibes at the beginning 😂
AMEM TIO KLAYTON
Klayton I love you
awesome ! :D
Nailed it xD Love it
Muito bom.
I LIKE SCANDROID. :-D
Duran Duran.
Interesting... this is not really what I'd imagined Eden to be like. What you've depicted here is more like what I imagined Old Tokyo to look like... It's very dark, abandoned, dysfunctional and battered. This seems like it'd be better suited for a live action Empty Streets music video.
I envisioned Eden as a beautiful place, laced with vivid lights and circuitry; other Plug-ins have already found their way there thanks to Atom and E.E.V, before Red and Aphelion find it, and they all clearly feel like they're at home and at a safe place. Kind of like a heaven for cybernetic humans; an opposite of Death's Door from End of an Empire.
As such, this was a bit disappointing, but the set pieces were well constructed and it shows that a clear effort was put into this, which I greatly respect. If anything, it does well to set the vibe of Old Tokyo for Red.
It's interesting to think that maybe, in such a technological future, their paradise would be what we consider old and abandoned, a little bit of nostalgic peace perhaps?
But isn't the androids' Eden in Old Tokyo? Remember Pro-Bots and Robophobes: "He led us into Eden beneath Neo-Tokyo, an electronic paradise where humans would not go". It's a place too decayed and inhospitable for humans to live; I don't imagine it would look like a polished city. The Eden here isn't so much a place of beauty as a haven to escape human influence - to get outside the datastream and connect in their own way.
I want that jakcet.
Why this great song have so little views?
A little bit static, but it does a good job setting up the feel of the world Klayton is trying to establish in the music. Personally I imagined something a bit more polished and perhaps a tad tron-like. Its nice to see it from the artists perspective. I always felt this song was a celebration of finally finding a world for yourself where you can be accepted. The music video has a pretty interestingly stark contrast to that feel. The world feels empty and void, and the character seems more like an interloper who hasn't been discovered yet. The setting feels lonely, barren, as if part of an ancient culture that no longer exists and the main character is the first one to step foot in it after so long. Either way I enjoyed it but I felt the drift between wandering shots and stationary shots felt a little flat it was just missing something a bit more dynamic to contrast these. Perhaps a view of the past? Perhaps a view of the future? Perhaps what the character envisions the Eden to become once he's awakened his fellows and brought his people to their new Eden. Not sure but enjoyed it either way.
+10
In 2 Corinthians chapter 12, Paul tells his dream of Eden. It did take two thousand years... But the time has come. "Did we not walk in the same footsteps by the same Spirit?"
Rob!
i get feeling in the distant future lone half robot half human being with without his memories about his past, not knowing what his name is coming to city of only robots where he sees young female robot and falls in love with her, where they call that city tokyo the ''eden'' for robots thats the feeling i get when listening with closed eyes
You should wright a sci fi story!
you so cool
Walking them empty streets alone.
Klayton don't get me wrong bro, but your face is so fucking funny...seriously.
I thought Eden was a Paradigm forever
El mismo cabello desde incluso antes del 2002
ademas de ser un musico es un personaje por si mismo xD
i thought Eden was a Paradigm forever
weres the machine head and all the machines
I don't know why this reminds me of Mystic Gohan's theme song?
I look forward to better Scandroid videos in the future. One of the best songs on the album with such potential for a great video, but I don't know what this is. It has a certain cool atmosphere, but it really lacks direction or substance.
0:43 Chibis! Because why not??
Well, it's Neo-Tokyo.
Otku Life.
