The majority of my influences come from the alt-rock scene from 1994. I plan to further explore this and push further into that realm of influences, starting with my new single SPIT YOU OUT. Lyrically the song is about the violent ability people have to mentally destroy each other, and the impact your environment can have over your mental health. I usually mix my songs to push boundaries in modern mixing styles, but with this one I studied more of the artists and producers I love from the early 90’s. Steve Albini (Nirvana, The Pixies, Bush) being the main influence. Huge drums, a more raw sounding vocal, big guitars but with modern bass and synth techniques for massive sonics. The video explores an idea which can take place in the very near future, where tormented individuals find a reality escape mechanism through a virtual world. But what if the virtual world you create starts impacting and distorting your actual reality?

Brandon's music has always been from the future, his stuff is so timeless and ahead of everything even in the early 2000s stuff. This song sounds like smth you'd hear in 2053
Love that! Interesting to hear your take because I was pushing the main parts to be more early 90’s inspired but maybe the visuals and the other elements in the song make it feel more futuristic than I anticipated

Don’t get me wrong- I dig this band. This song popped up on my feed w/out me noticing. About halfway thru I was like “Defrojes has new music out”? I mean, they sound almost EXACTLY like Def. So, hardly ahead of their time when they didn’t even come w/a uniqueness of their own.

I love that FiXT released Demolition City again because it put you in the right mindset for Logan and Chris being there. Is it permanent? I hope so. Brandon by himself is stellar but my favorite version of The Anix was Brandon/Logan/Chris. This would also allow them to potentially tour and play concerts again.

Song is excellent as always! About video - during it I thought The Anix finally filmed pure concentration of his life philosophy with which I completely agree. Everything has been mentioned - rejection of the dress code and the Japanese style of work - live at work, live for work, die for work. And of course this f*ing traditional way of life that everyone must follow step by step - early marriage, well paying hard work, that you must hate, watch Tv or drink at nearest pub if you husband and do housework if you wife. I tried to live as everyone expect, die one million times, drop it and work underpade job where my mind and imagine is only mine. And everyone who I met after this decision - relatives, friends, residents of my city - started to teach me how I must live and become NPC with no skip speech button - they always said the same, meet by meet, day by day. But than I saw the last 20 seconds and a quote - it made the video so philosophical that my english is too bad to describe. For me that video is one of the best I ever watch. Thanks for all!

Well this is just too amazing, Brandon never ceases to amaze me with everything he puts out, I'm so glad I discovered the Anix when I stumbled upon Fixt around 2018, this music helps me get through the days and makes me feel just a bit more complete. I'm also loving this new grungy sound, hope the whole new album is as fucking awesome as this track, also I hope there'll be more music videos, it adds so much to the experience, music is always better with some proper matching visuals and Brandon never misses when it comes to visual mediums in general, be it videos or cover art and all the promo stuff, I'm loving every single bit of it. Much love to all you wonderful people with whom I can share these emotions :)

Most bands fall into this category to be honest with you. Very few bands hit the world with a entirely new sound that shakes the industry to the core. The Beetles did. So did Led Zeppelin. On to Black Sabbath. Then came Nirvana and Soundgarden. TOOL and System of a Down. All of them original a ground breaking and gave birth to numerous other bands with their sound. Def Tones is the father of this band here and there isn’t any real debate the fact. It is what it is. Enjoy.

Hey B and crew, great job again! I can’t log in to my old yt account, hopefully temporarily. But just wanted to say I like how different this song sounds in comparison to your recent ones, especially the more complex melodies. The switch from minor to major key, but never quite reaching that uplifting moment before dropping back into minor goes with the story of the lyrics so well. Or what I think the story is suppose to be. I missed the chat this morning because I forgot it could only be accessed in desktop mode, so sorry if this was discussed. But I noticed some reoccuring refereences in your lyrics to being “too far gone”, “games”, and “lies”. What does it all mean?? As far as vocals, I agree with a commenter about YAY for no more reverb.
