    Thanks for this video friend! I'm interested in this watch from almost 6.years and today I got a chance to purchase. Functionalities aside, I love the design and the Solar ability. What's your opinion on getting it as of today?

    Still loving your channel! It's nice to see you share somewhat the same passion I do when it comes to tiny gear. I have several Rotrings (out of which the 600 & RapidPro, which you reviewed), several SAKnives - including a minichamp of which you did a review, and a Suunto traverse alpha - which, for me, scratches about the same itch as this ProTrek.
    The more popular/mainstream gear you review the more your channel will hopefully grow. With the amount of time you spend reviewing, and the depth you go into, I feel like I would tell a shopkeep to leave me alone if he/she asked me if I wanted to "inspect/hold/trial the product", and respond with "I got all I ever wanted to know about this product from this youtube video, mate, but thanks!" :-)

      Hey man, thanks for your kind words. While reading your comment I feel identified as you described it haha indeed, I guess our approach is utilitarian, are you an engineer as well?
      Regarding the reviews, indeed... I try to review the things I already have as in, to give an honest opinion about them. I'll have to check what's popular out there to toss it into the mix.
      Really funny the last part 😂 trust me, for everything I do, I make excel tables and compare to the minimal detail, it can get heavy haha in the end, I just go to the salesman and tell him, yeah I want that thing and when he tries to show me, with respect of course, I ask maybe a few things and seal the deal haha.
      Thanks for your support! More videos coming 😁

      @@m.a.s.engineeringgadgets4867 I am not an engineer, no. I work in IT and have a weak spot for little multi use or just useful things.
      If you like mechanical pencils I can highly recommend the Uni Kuru Toga, it should pique your interest as an engineer as well, as its rotating mechanism is absolutely great (for writing, not necessarily for drawing thick & thin lines - which it can't do.)
      I am also not surprised to hear that you're heavily into spreadsheets ^^

    Glad I found this video was thinking of purchasing this watch to compliment my PRW-6800 (Japan issue). Looking forward to other reviews. I do collect other brand watches even Timex, multiple complication watches, such as time, temp, compass, tide analogs also including flyback and linear chronographs.

    Is it a good build? Does it have mostly titanium/ mettle on the watch frame or resin?

    • @m.a.s.engineeringgadgets4867
      @m.a.s.engineeringgadgets4867  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The bracelet only is made of titatinum, but it's not solid titanium only folded sheet.
      The watch body outside is plastic and resin only. I'm not sure if the structure is metal.
      The overall quality feels good, only the bezel turns really easy as you saw in the video.
      Have more questions?

      Sadly not, I guess you need to check the pressure diagram by yourself.
      The pressure diagram in the main menu is updated every 2hs, but if you go to the barometric option, it's updated every 5 minutes.

    • @m.a.s.engineeringgadgets4867
      @m.a.s.engineeringgadgets4867  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey there, you have to do nothing other than expose the watch to sunlight or any light. The outer side of the bezel is where the solar panel is, this will charge the battery by itself.

    • @m.a.s.engineeringgadgets4867
      @m.a.s.engineeringgadgets4867  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm sorry, which one you mean? It has only 3 sensors, but 4 measurements. Temperature, Compass and Barometer. The barometer serves also as altimeter.

    • @fratgunes9486
      @fratgunes9486 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Can this watch correctly guess the plane altimeter at 30.000 feet or because the cabin pressure set at 8000 feet. will it shows at 8000 feet?

    • @m.a.s.engineeringgadgets4867
      @m.a.s.engineeringgadgets4867  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha that's a cool question which I actually tried. Yes, you measure the cabin pressure. But don't panic if you measure a lower value than you'd usually have.

    • @fratgunes9486
      @fratgunes9486 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@m.a.s.engineeringgadgets4867 thanks but also did u measure the altimeter? And did it give u correct measure i mean middle of the flight it should give u around 30.000 feet?

    • @m.a.s.engineeringgadgets4867
      @m.a.s.engineeringgadgets4867  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The altimeter works with the data of the barometer sensor. So if the barometer sensor is not measuring correctly, the altimeter data is also not correct.
