This man is going out of his way to give his stage time to other musicians. He even steps away from the piano to encourage the cameras to go elsewhere for a few. What a class act. Hornsby is a musician's musician if there ever was one.

Lol I’ve heard him say (probably in a joking fashion) that Tupac keeps his lights on with the royalty checks. Bruce is amazing, this song is an ultimate classic from beginning to end, not just musically but socially too. Tupac helped make this song really infamous on a larger scale, and it added so much beauty to his song which samples this as a backtrack. Both are timeless. I remember when I heard about Bruce playing keys for the Grateful Dead I was completely shocked!

You Remember those Days don't you Parents? When you didn't Have to Freeze every Time a " special" Report was broadcasting Live... About children being shot in Their classrooms. Oh God that Hurts doesn't IT? To be reminded of Children murdered randomly because they were in School, A Safe Haven For learning. As a substitute teacher I never experienced a Lock down or threat to myself or The students I Taught. It's a Matter of Public Records offices and sadly all those students are grown UPS now. Rural Tennessee is beautiful but harsh in The Winter. May the Good Lord be with you all down Every Road you take...echoes of a"forgotten" Legacy? I've watched this almost every weekend for the last 2 or 3 years when I found this video. I remember my first time hearing it, and I wasn't sure what he was dong at first. (I''m not musically inclined, but I know what I like). Then it clicked, and I just spent the next moments just in awe of these musicians. Extraordinary. I grew up on Bruce Hornsby. This video should be on repeat everywhere.
Bruce Hornsby is sublime. There is no other piano player in the Universe save for Bruce Hornsby. Love his writing, talents. I pray that he reappears and touches the world with his divine presence and voice!

no he gives tribute to Tupac for doing his rendition of it, in the song Changes,, because this was the late 90s and Tupac did it in the mid 90s ,, and he was killed in 96 so the song was still fresh among the R&B and Rap community ,, Many people at the time didnt know it was his and the youth thought Bruce took from Tupac,, but they later learned :)
