Marcus also from the Boosted Board site: Regenerative Braking You can conserve battery power and increase your range just by using the regenerative braking feature of your Boosted board. You will likely generate the most return of energy while braking to slow down from higher speeds or braking down a steep incline. Braking from ~22 to ~5mph or walking pace will generate a greater return of power. Slowing the final 5mph to 0mph may actually start using energy again. Coasting or kick pushing the board helps to conserve energy, and can put charge back into the battery in small amounts as well.
this video helped me make the dicision to buy a boosted mini x. I used it for about a week before the first belt broke on it and i realized it was not a viable means of transportation for me. Thank you for sharing this with us!
@@Marlon_Torres I did return it. I have a bicycle and i believe it will be more safe and reliable for me. Maybe when i become super rich, ill get the bigger boosted board!
I can only speak for mine and so far it has held up really well. No issues at all! I ammprobably going to change the belts and wheels soon, I guess it will come down to how much you ride, but so far so good.
Pete, I love this board man! It is a lot of fun to ride! However, I am not if at 240 that will be an issue. I am slight over 200 and it handles and rides well, but Boosted does not list the max weight on their site nor the Mini X's manual. Send them a msg and ask them just to be on the safe side before you order one. They usually reply within 24 hours.
I was considering buying one but weight is a factor to the amount of speed and miles you get. If you don't mind me asking how tall are you and how much do you weigh?
MarlonPTY I have the BB v2 Plus. It’s easy to control, you can’t mall grab it. 2k Watts is amazing on the steepest of hills. I live on a mountain and that climbs it like nothing at 20mph at that. If you live in the city go for the mini because bringing it in the store is easier. If you live up hill with super step climb the longboard is better.
Joe, I don't think it's that hard. 40? Man, you're still young as hell. If you order one just start off on beginner mode and ride it every day so you can get better at it and ride with more confidence. You'll be hooked! Remember to wear a helmet too!
Hi, how would you brake using the remote? And what is the regenerative breaking you were talking about? Thanks.
Marcus you pull back on the throttle on the remote and as you are breaking it helps if you lean back some too.

Big Veno Sorry to hear that man! Did you return it? So far I haven’t had to replace my belts, but I guess I shld order some spare ones.

This video is really well put together :O It's one of the better reviews I've seen (yet with a lot fewer views!)
Thank you!
How many times have you had to replace the belts?
So far I have been pretty lucky, have yet to replace them.
Great video man.
Thanks! I am gonna try and make a few more on this board!
Got one this summer myself. Really fun to ride.
Noone did the incline man you were very helpful & informative to me
Dipen Bhuva Glad it helped you out! Still using my Mini X, great board. Are you getting one? Thanks for stopping by!
MarlonPTY i am getting it on monday as there was a delay on my courier service, was it worth buying boosted board marlon ?
@@dipenbhuva2061 boosted plus and mini s are 25% off so right now would be the best time to get one
When the battery dies, it is pretty smooth to push manually ?
It’s usable, but there is a slight resistance.
MarlonPTY just picked one up at Best Buy & it is surprisingly smooth without the power on
And is this board good for travels of 6 miles like in a day?
Brandon, I usually get 12 miles on one charge with no problem. So yeah you shld be fine.
Amazing Video... how long this boosted mini X last? 2 years/ 3 years?
Hi, are you referring to the battery life?
Battery life, Hardware life, Durability of the truck and wheels. Thanks marlon

Fun to ride. Wish it was quieter, cheaper, and having to do less maintenance on it.
Love your vids dude! :D
Thank you! I appreciate the support and thanks for stopping by my channel!
Good video! Just ordered the Mini S, maybe I'll bump into you on the River Walk!
Awesome! Enjoy it man!
How are you liking the Mini S?
@@Marlon_Torres loving it! Gonna try and take it down to Gasparilla now for a peak at the action while my kid's napping.

Sweet! Enjoy it! Thanks for stopping by my channel!
What's up Richard? How are you liking the Mini X?
@@Marlon_Torres I like it a lot :) still getting used to it and still just kinda scared to take it out haha. LA is rough and I'm scared to fall

Nice review. You should do a electric scooter review next.
Hey I weigh about 240 lb man how you like that board I'm thinking about buying one like your video

Whatd the range?
14 miles on the Mini X

5’6”, 190lbs. I’m heavy and it still does pretty good on the range. I don’t ride 20mph all the time though.
I'm thinking I'll like the longboard more.
I'd love to get my hands on one and see how different they are.

if i've never been on a board in my life will this be too hard to learn? im a 40 year old guy lol

MarlonPTY thanks man! I will get that helmet too! Are the belts hard to switch out
Joe, I haven’t had to change mine yet, but from what I’ve seen on TH-cam it’s not very hard to do.
Skateboards are easy to ride this has brakes to. Just make sure you know if you ride regular or goofy footed.
Thanks! That is good to know!
love the vid! just did my first boosted board review go check it if you have time!
