It makes sense why Venezuela, Iran, Somalia and Iraq are destablised and why they want to destabilize Russia as well.

Middle East countries are just unstable by nature.
Venezuela is unstable because they're trying out Socialism, which kicked out all the US oil companies, making thier oil industry collapse.
Russia is unstable for many reasons, They never truly left the communist mindset therfore they basically have a dictator who has dragged them into a ridiculous war.

Russia destabilized itself. Could have easily continued keeping Europe hooked on its energy sources, but stupidly had the need to subdue Ukraine. As if it didn’t share a border with several other western aligned countries 🤡

Oil reserves in the US can provide opportunities for investors to benefit from the performance of the oil industry and potentially earn profits as the country's oil reserves play a significant role in the economy and global energy markets. However, it's crucial to thoroughly research and understand the risks associated with investing in this sector, such as volatility in oil prices, geopolitical factors, and regulatory changes.

Things are strange right now. The US dollar is becoming less valuable because of inflation, but it's getting stronger compared to other currencies and things like gold and property. People are turning to the dollar because they think it's safer. I'm worried about my retirement savings of about $420,000 losing value because of high inflation. Where else can we keep our money?

Every country wants to blame the USA for their own problem, when they can't govern themselves and when they have failed governments that can't govern their countries. If one country in the world the (USA) has that much power and influence over the whole world, then something is terribly about the world. I guess it's much easier to look on the outside for blames, then it is to look within for internal solutions. Great leaders don't blame others, great leaders look for solutions within.

Canada has the US for protection, lol. Canada has a small population, small military but highly trained. Open borders and we consider Americans our cousins. (NZ, Australia and Britain are related too as our democracy is similar and once connected to Britain).
Canada has resources the US wants and needs, but both Canada and US has everything we need. We can survive deglobalization. Mexico is on board they've opened up manufacturing! So we are good here in North America! NAFTA
Canada also has 20% of the world's fresh water.
So far Canada is 80% green energy. I don't see how EVs will work here outside of major cities. I'm up north and near a major highway, we have one EV charging station for travellers. We all drive 4x4 trucks and have "big boy" toys which all consume gas! Natural gas heat is cheaper and more efficient than electricity in our cold winters!

Fascinating. I suppose these are "proven reserves," a number that changes as oil is pumped and more is found. Also, the price of oil is variable; whatever these numbers, they will daily change. Also, the quality of oil in each case, whether "heavy" or "Light," will be individually subject to market fluctuations. But a fascinating display, as many of these are. Interesting to note that lotsa oil doesn't mean riches. Government incompetence is a much stronger force.

Well you simply don’t understand geopolitics then. The sanctions placed on Russia, Venezuela, Iran and Somalia have nothing to do with oil. The instability in Venezuela was inflicted by their dictator, Somalia is a clan based state, obviously Russia was sanctioned for their invasion. And many other countries aren’t ‘controlled’ by the U.S. The US (as well as any large country buying oil like China and India) want stability so supply isn’t compromised. All of these countries have trade deals with each other. No one is under anyone else’s ‘control’

Sometimes I wish Black Hawk Down never happened because all the Super Majors were already investing time and money for the future drilling of potential reserves and the country could have enjoyed decades of development at high oil prices rather than conflict.

For instance whether to make fly the rainbow LGBTQ+ flag inside their government buildings or the pink flag. But for actually important stuff, like if USA starts bombing another country in the Middle East and kills a few million more brown muslims and wants Canada to help and send some troops and weapons to support "spreading Freedom and Democracy", Canada will have no cnoice but to obey. Don't believe me? Look at every war of aggression USA has fought in the last 80 years and see whether Canada was America's little beetch or not. Answer is yes, it was and it still is.

Like Canada’s oil is in the form of oil sands, so the process of filtering and refining is more expensive than the usual methods. The amount of water it takes to separate and the amount of pollution it creates is really something to keep in mind. The best example is Saudi, it’s in the ground and is pure black liquid, the best reserve to have.

      America lies about ours.
Google the definition for “Confirmed Oil Reserves.” According to the definition there has to be a well pumping from a deposit for the amount in that deposit to be counted amongst our reserves, and yet we’ve been doing “exploratory” mining since the 1950s where the oil lease granted by the government will allow a company to go down to the necessary depth, bring up enough oil to have made drilling the well economically feasible and profitable, and then the company has to cap it off after a certain number of gallons have been pulled from it and go start another well…. Once that well is capped that deposit no longer contributes to our confirmed oil reserves, the government has been lying and playing a chess game to keep Americans in the dark and poor (were the government to allow more drilling they could also use it to pay off our national debt, pay each American citizen a portion of the profits [kuwait gives their male citizens about $60,000 per year as their portion of the profits] and Americans would all have more money and thus have more options)…. But congress uses the power to make their buddies rich and then retire to get consulting jobs working for those buddies, consulting jobs being a euphemism for the bribe today for yesterday’s corruption…….
In reality The United States has at least 6 times the oil that is known to be reachable in the Middle East…..
If you don’t believe me, then start doing some research, it shouldn’t take long for you to find out we have a lot more than they claim. Meanwhile half of our people have been duped into believing we’ll run out of petroleum soon and have to invest in other technologies… what a joke. We should always be researching other technologies, but there is no need to be converting over to electric, it’s a shell game to deprive the people of power and riches….
