Bruh. I have a single SA12 in a 3.4 cu ft box on a CT2000.1D wired to 1 ohm, tuned at 32Hz. Why put an NS series sub in such a small box if it hampers the performance? My single SA12 can dig to 15Hz audibly in the box it’s in. I’d pop that NS in a much bigger box and watch your performance go up.
Hows the amp holding at .5 i got one my self at 1 ohm n i was thinking of getting one more sub n wire them down to .5 on a 270 mach man d3400 up front n a limitless 25 ah out back ofc wires n big 3 u think it will hold n not go on protect
I have an orion hcca 8000.1d with 3 subwoofer jl audio 13w7 but I am going to change the coils for dual 1 ohm I think it will be at .75 ohm do you think it affects the amplifier

Impedance rise is an average of 3-6ohms Not seeing 5k RMS. Seeing around 1500-3000 after rise.
How come all car sound systems play electronic bass music and not some good rock and roll. Used to hear Autograph (Turn up the radio) or some KISS, something that you heard on the radio and could play louder and prouder than anyone else.it had a hell of a kick drum that has been known to blow speakers. Many speakers.

I get about the same air movement out of both windows in my 2017 Tundra using a Sundown 2K at 1 ohm using a Fi 12” in a 2 cube box with 42” long port tuned at 29.75 . Mine does that at 20hz All stock electrical not even the big 3( to hard to get to the alternator and shops want 4 hours to do it)
Heyy, what's going on man. I don't have the car or setup anymore. Orion amp is benched needing repair. At the time though I had two AGM batteries, and I did have an additional lithium at one point. I don't remember what brand it is. It was 4 cells wired for 12v application. I got them on eBay, I think they were a part of a battery backup system.

And a pioneer avx 2440 deck.

I've heard from those who have experience in the lanes that they've gotten more gain from a Zv5 over a Nsv4, but that's something on the down low. Could also be application dependant. The Nsv4 also gets hotter and incurs more rise than a ferrite motor like the Zv5 so additional power is needed from what I've heard. For me the Nsv4 did get hot. The other thing too is, is alot if these newer neo motor designs from Sundown and the other companies have a solid motor design, meaning no hole if you will, a vented poll piece that is visible at the bottom. Do to the lack of this none pole vented motor design, there is added air turbulence under the dust cap which translates to more noise from the voice coil venting. At the top, vent holes in the former, and the gap space between the pole and the former, air pushes through those at an increased rate over a vented pole piece counter part. This added turbulence translates to noise that one might describe as distortion or a gas powered generator that is in operation. Other descriptions that fit this is knocking type sound. Regarding .5 ohm, Orion doesn't recommend this load. However, after impedance rise, like myself, you be will be seeing a 1 to 4 ohm load across the frequency range, which is the so called designed range for the Orion amps.

It does, it will see a lower impedance (resistance) and will output more power if the electrical system will support it.
