      If they lose a mate they do find another mate. There’s fascinating documentary style videos that follow kestrel pairs on a channel. His name is Robert E Fuller. There was one pair of birds on which a mate didn’t make it. They may have been barn owls though. Very fascinating channel though for anyone who’s interested.

      Common misconception. They often do not mate for life, and even if they do, they hop on to find the next partner should the previou one perish.
      You really believe nature would let a -good to breed- individual go to waste?

      What did those birds eat. Meat from another animal. Helping them meant killing another animal. So the question is, why help the family of heathers and not of the animal killed to feed them? That's what experts mean don't interfere. Because helping one in disadvantage of the other animal will disturb the balance between animals since humans can change the equilibrium far more than animals can

      When I gave birth an owl moved in the backyard and at night I couldn’t sleep. It would make this loud boo boo noise that freaked me out. I am Spanish and in my culture it is believed that if an owl moves around your place when you just had a baby is because a witch is around and most be bothering your baby at night. This made me extremely unfortunately and I wanted that owl gone. Someone how I started to read the Bible and the owl was gone never seen or heard it again. Not sure if it was coincidence or what but I’m glad is gone now my baby n I sleep all night very peacefully.

He would only sleep peacefully around us like if me n my husband would watch tv in the living room we had to put him to sleep there because he would cry in the room if he was alone. And I never ever heard or saw that birth around there before. We lived here for almost 10 years and this was the first time right when I gave birth and brought the baby home. And than someone told me to read an specific page of the Bible before putting the baby to sleep at night and I swear I never saw or heard this bird again n my baby now sleeps in the room all night doesn’t wake up or cries. 😳

    I raised one of them some years back. I heard it squeaking through one of my outside beer and guitar mental health self treatments and found it had come out of a nest somewhere and hardly had any fluff on him at all. It was way too cold and shivering, so I unbuttoned my shirt and put him up against my hairy chest and and took him in the house. I fed him regularly both day and night and he not only lived, but he eventually fledged, too. So, after that, it was letting him outside to fly and helping him learn how to eat grasshoppers, bugs, worms and mice and all too soon the little guy -- I named him "Friday" because it was late on a Friday night that I found him -- and he flew away to live his life in the wild. That thing's little claws were sharper than sewing needles!!!

    I don't mean to be rude about it or anything, but this video is fake because the kestral, nest, and balcony kept changing constantly. There is also no way a bird would let a human change its nest into a box with like styrofoam, towels, dirt, or even paper or whatever else was in it. If you were to pay attention, the size of the balcony and the scenery seem to change in every clip. The kestral in the first two clips is definitely the same one, but the third clip, it's head all of a sudden has grey feathers instead of brown. So tell me how this suppossed story of a single mother kestral and her babies is real
    Edit: to the two people saying they moved the birds on top of the air conditioner thing, where did the extra width in the balcony come from huh? Tell me that! And the clip where the babies are in a white box with an yellow color at the top, that box is not on no dam air conditioner.

      we dont always help birds and we dont always help one another
      fortunatly there are people out there spreading the kindness and positivity the world needs like the woman in this video. Some people can't understand the concept of giving being rewarding.

    We have to step up as humans. The male didn't come back because of the human not to her fault. They must have nested there while the apartment was empty. If there was any human activity they would have not nested there. The female stayed because of the hatchlings. She wasn't scared anymore because the human fed her. She didn't see the human as a threat and that's why she used the same nest again. It's a beautiful story and proof that we can live in harmony. Sometimes intervening is necessary. ❤❤

    So won't this nice woman have a yearly responsibility of raising the mother's offspring as birds tend to establish and return to the same nest...also how does the woman prevent 'imprinting' by the babies as the woman is also raising them with Moms?🤔

      @merrilllee4878 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Everything's wrong with this. People shouldn't feed wild animals, even birds that built a nest. The birds came back to lay eggs cause they knew they'd get food from her. Then that means the parent kestrel wouldn't go out hunting for food for their Youngs

    The American Kestrel (Falco sparverius), is the smallest and most common falcon in North America. Formerly called "sparrowhawk", a misnomer as it is a true falcon and is unrelated genetically to the Eurasian sparrowhawk, Accipiter nisus.[citation needed] It has a roughly two-to-one range in size over subspecies and sex, varying in size from about the weight of a blue jay to a mourning dove. It also ranges to South America and is a well-established species that has evolved into 17 subspecies adapted to different environments and habitats throughout the Americas. It exhibits sexual dimorphism in size (females being moderately larger) and plumage, although both sexes have a rufous back with noticeable barring. Its plumage is colorful and attractive, and juveniles are similar in plumage to adults.
