The are absolutely the one of the cutest owls, aside from the Spotted Owl of the Western U.S. They are also "friendlier" towards people than the Great-horned Owl. Burrowing owls are also cute, they have such long chicken legs.

Fun. Fact. The. Snowy owl. Is the only bird that makes 0. Noise when in flight. .. because of their feathers unique formation….
Also a fun fact; because owls have a different sort of feather to muffle the sound of their flying, they also struggle more to fly when wet. It’s a bit of a trade off!

Wait I thought great horned did that as well. Ive had them swoop at me during the times the juveniles are grown and it is mating season wouldn't make a noise or anything and would swoop down and bat me right on the head luckily I usually wear baseball caps.
Gosh, seeing so many of the cast from Guardians of Ga'Hoole was beautiful. They really do look like they'd fit the personalities by appearance alone.
