Midstroll was a technique way before FFS, people just associate the technique with FFS. People have been using it for so long even on the bank. it’s funny when people tell me that they don’t do this technique because they do not have FFS
The raid fishroller is my number #1. I use the range rollers for the smaller baits. The 5” and up I use the horizon heads. I’ve also had really good luck with the sakamata shad, OSP Dolive stick, drift fry and the fish arrow flash J. Thanks for the video Tyler as always keep up the great work!!!
It's funny this technique has been around a long time, well before FFS. I do remember the old advice when fishing a "damiki" used to be "Don't move it. Hover it just above the fish and leave it." Along comes FFS and we figured out shaking the hell out of it and quick reeling once fish commit can absolutely crush them.
I don't have FFS. I am basically a bank beater. I have been fishing the jighead minnow since the spring of '22. I watch a lot of TH-cam about fishing and have learned a lot. I look for things that others miss. When Daisuke Aoki almost won the BASS at Chickamauga in '22 he was using the jig head minnow with a Sakamata Shad and was using the basic twitch and wind technique that is predominate today. That spring I started fishing the jig head minnow with the twitch and wind and have caught hundreds of fish that way. Are you going to air some vids on your trip?

These are fun lures to fish. No FFS here just a spray and pray

exactly! we were all doing it unknowingly and catching them along the way. Used to Damiki fish a bunch and just let it sit and watch on 2D
No, the Japanese have been shaking it way before FFS
