Clearing out the farm but not without a few hiccups.

I think DP’s pride of ownership will transform this old farm into a keeper. The previous owners won’t recognize the place a year from now…..It’s amazing what a few days with the right equipment can do. Great job Mike, Aaron
Your Right!!! they wont recognize it, they couldn't, wont be a tree standing
Hey guys, thanks for taking the time to share this job with us. It's been a great little series, and I have really enjoyed watching the transition. Thanks again, and be safe!
Nice to see new life to an old family farm.
Hahahaha
@@dalejohns2758 ?
Living life with you guys is like Laurel and Hardy everyday!
Mike, when I saw “Caught the excavator on fire”, I immediately thought of Logger Wade. I’m glad you were able to contain it so quickly. 😂 I’m excited to see all the future videos of your new place. God bless y’all.
I thought of letsdig18. He caught his, or his uncle's, 220 on fire. Actually did some damage to the machine.
Thank you Mike for helping the Captain with his concrete pour, he does a great job on his own but that one definitely needed a helping hand
How fast a little neglect can become overwhelming. The maple trees can grow rather quickly over a little bit of time and it underscores the importance of removing saplings before they take root!
An outstanding job and thanks for sharing. Abundant Blessings to all
That’s a lot of years of neglect to let trees get that big so close to the buildings. Looking great watching it come back to life.
It was "abandoned".
@@willb3018 IT wasn't abandoned just not taken care off. People stilled lived there.
Good morning DP,MBTS and Chris. I am impressed with all the hat you wear DP. You went operator to firefighter to towing. The progress really looks great. Thanks again!!!!!!!!
Watching the trees get cleared out while they were so close to the barn was a great vid , you sure can operate that machine MR DP cleaning up that property is going good - keep at it guys 👍🇺🇸
ALWAYS AMAZES ME WHEN THE HEAVY EQUIPMENT CAN BE SO ACCURATE IN SUCH TIGHT SITUATIONS, TAKES A VERY EXPERIENCED OPERATOR, GREAT JOB
Thanks
Good morning all Saturday at last, have a great weekend all and enjoy!👍👍👍
Listen here fellas. I graduated in 1984 and the speaker has been one of our assistant principles. He described my class as being tough as woodpecker lips! That means mid 60s they were building pretty tough stuff.
Damn she’s lookin real good now !!! Very nice property !!! My sister is looking for 50-100 acres for a horse farm and 2 houses. I showed her these videos on how an overgrown property can be transformed. She’s amazed with your work !!! She said she wished you lived in North Georgia !!! I told her it might be hard to find a crew with the skill and integrity as Dirt Perfect !!! 👍😃 See y’all on the next one !!!
A little tin here some wood there the old building will keep the farm🚜good. She's cleaning up good. A bit of fire keeps the Hyundai warm . As long as it is not a full out Hyney roast . A few uttos makes the day more fun.
Great video. You're a good man & friend to stop and help the Capt. With his pour.
DP, you CAN'T bore us with ANYTHING !!!
You post it, WE''LL WATCH IT !!! That's why we're here !!! 💪🎯👊😁👍
I had a smile on my face the whole way through. And I am gobsmacked at how you were able to get those trees down and not pull down that barn. The land is looking really nice and I am looking forward to what's next. I'm glad the fire didn't cause any damage but you guys picking your hands into flames did make me laugh. At least you didn't have far to travel to get the dump truck unstuck. Thanks for sharing this, Mike. It was very entertaining.
Mike & Aaron, I just cannot stop watching your videos of clearing the farm.
You and Aaron are really a great team getting the job done and having fun at the same time.
Stay safe!
Thank you
I love watching the clean of this property. Keep the videos coming.
Let's see we now have DP excavator, landlord, towing service, fireman, lumber jack and comedian.
Just an all around man with Man Behind the Scene make it all work and fun.
Great job Mike! Thanks for taking us along!!! J.R.
Awesome video Mike. All the effort you put into clearing the property will pay you back greatly. Thanks again to you and Aaron.
Mike and Aaron another great entertaining video and progression on the new land. You've made great progress and things are looking great. I'm glad the fire wasn't that serious. God Bless and Good Health.
I am so pleased to see an old neglected farm being brought to life and be useful once again. Keep up the good work!
not many people get into your situations and can still smile about it, shit happens and life goes on.
Not a bad days work even if it did start off with a fire and stuck truck, Those Yankem tow ropes work good, I have one very handy. The Windmill was a cool find and you did one Hell of a job on those trees. Keep up the good work Mike.
A great video guys 🥇🥇the Timelapse + William Tell’s overture sequence was spot on Mike🥇🍺🍺👍🤗
You might find some more souvenirs in the brush. I would keep the old windmill. Thanks for the video
DP another awesome video the tree plucking around the building was interesting. Congrats on the new property. It looked nice when it’s cleaned up. Be safe God bless.
Great job on clearing …huge difference!
Looking great y’all 3. Keep up the great work!!
Some days it's better to stay in bed, today sounded like the perfect day to do that Mike. Hope the rest of the farm project goes smoother.
Really enjoyed the new farm clearing
Mike, from what that place looked like to where it's at now is 200% better. Good job I'll be waiting to see how it turns out.
210 is now called Smokey the Bear..... remember DP, only you can prevent forest fires 🔥 🤣
i am a retired plant mechanic but still love to watch machines with good operators in control👍
William Tell overture is very fitting for the time lapse. Love it!
Wow I am super impressed with that rope. You had probably a 20ft run before you yanked on that thing and that rope did not snap then you did it again.. Very impressed!
I think that was what they call a yankem rope and it's designed to stretch and literally Yank A vehicle free. They make different sizes in weight classifications
I was waiting to see if the Mack ended up with a Chevy stuck in it's grill !
That was a Yankum Rope!
Very nice work Removing all the Trees
The William Tell Overture was absolutely perfect for background music for your cleanup! ThankYou for t he great video!
I’ve been a sub for three years and haven’t missed an episode. Every other day I know when my alarm goes off I’ll have a video to watch. I’ve noticed something different about the videos for the last few months and you mentioned it on the podcast on the first or second episode of the year, the videos aren’t as much fun to make anymore. I could tell you were/are getting a little burnt out. They weren’t as lively so I started missing episodes going days without watching. I saw you post the start of the series and I was intrigued so I watched it. Something about this series seems to have sparked some new excitement for you and I’m glad for it.
One thing that I hope you include in the series is moving all of your crap from the gym to the farm. I don’t think we’ve ever seen a video of your other storage facility, all we have seen is the house and the shed at the market.
I may be completely off base on my analysis but I’m glad you guys bought this farms do are able to get great use out of all of it and can make great content from it as well.
thanks and we do have video of the move
Always amazed at your efficiency on the 210! Loved the William Tell Overture at the end!
Thanks
I love that you are bringing this place back to life. It is cool you have access to so much of the history of the property. Having "roots" in a community is a blessing. My family has been in our area for 4 generations, soon to be 5. Unfortunately, it is changing.
At least you didn't get ticked at the condition of the building and decided to drive a Steiger right through it and also over one of your hired hands cars you couldn't stand. It's great to see an extremely skillful operator. Thanks for the videos!
Great job mate like to see it when finished could be a nice farm
Watching the time lapse cleanup to music made me smile. Thank you!
Thanks
🔥in the hole! 🌧,call for rain. Lots of action, as usual, 2 cups of coffee video, thanks for sharing.
Can’t believe you got them trees out from the barn 😳👏👏👍✌️
I'm thinking yourself and the mbts really enjoyed them few days.❤😂
Wow..! Mike I would never in a million years have thought that the service truck would even begin to move that dump truck. Amazing.
New property is looking great.
DP…. one of my favourite videos - was funny, entertaining, practical when pulling truck out of the ditch, skilful when taking down the trees by buildings as it was pathetic trying to put the fire out with a bottle of water and that container!
Thanks
Save the windmill! It's the green way today.
Yes platform was for service and the ladder/pegs was for climbing. Remember back then, people where thinner....
My favorite part of the video was the Lone Ranger music. The property is shaping up, looking good.
So DP first thing I thought of when i seen you caught the hyundai on fire , is your next to a pond . My first response probably would have been to dip the bucket in the pond to put the fire out.
Awesome boys! 👍🏼
I always loved the 1812 William Tell Oveture. Good choice to go with the speedy video
Hey Mike , I firmly believe that you edited out a few choice words to keep the video family friendly ! At least you know the fire dried out the green in that brush pile !
They need to make you an articulating bucket/thumb combo. So you can bring the bucket/thumb to the tree turn it horizontal, or anything in-between and make a a rock solid grab. Just thinking?
Mike, need to put root rake on dozer to clean up better. Project looking good
playing with big toys. O ya.. love cleaning up and reclaiming old farms..
Impressive work! Don't want to overstep, Captain Kleeman might be able to help you secure a Pressurized Water can, or PW, that most engine companies carry. It is a 2.5-gallon water extinguisher that is easy to recharge and doesn't leave a mess like the ABC ones. Keep that one in the service truck. Glad you were able to knock out the flames quickly!
You were keeping pretty good time with the music. Great video men, thx for sharing.
I'm sitting here and all I can think of is gloves!! Gloves!!! 💥💥💥
I am so tired from using my “body english “ to help you pull down those trees!!! Great job and fun to watch video! Best regards for the New Year. 👏🏻👍🏻🍀🍀
lol thanks
it was a little tense for a while, but it all worked out in the end.. great work!
You are one amazing operator !!!you can make that machine talk !!!!
Great video, what a difference in before and after on this property, really is bringing out what a beautiful piece of property it is.great job.minor hiccups but that’s part of the territory.no harm no foul.👍👍👍😎😎😎
Great video loves seeing unusable land turned into a useful land keep up the great work and if you get any more projects like it keep shown them
Great day got to play fireman and wrecker driver all in one day fun with dirt perfect!!
This video a very good one video on that little fam ., Man your doing a very very good clean up ..
It is amazing how a little maintenance goes a long a way in safety
The farm is really starting to show through the growth. Good looking land. Thanks for sharing.
This farm clean up videos have been enjoyable and entertaining looking forward for the rest of journey 👍
Thanks
I have used just about every recovery rope on the market and the Yankum ropes are BY FAR the best in the business.
Another great video! Good to see all the brush gone or on its way out! Thanks: Mike, Aaron and the mystery truck driver at the end! Lee
This video was so good, I wanted to give it two thumbs up!
Great job great video thanks Mike and Aron ànd Chris
Looking great guys .. it's going to be an awesome looking property after you get all the stuff knocked down and cleaned up .. luv watching all the work!!
Put a trail threw the bush you own after your all done
Really nice excavator work big Mike, can’t wait for the next video.
I just thought of this. All these videos, listening "the crunching" of the tree limbs. Is so enjoyable, it's like bubble rap popping 😀
Love the video with the music and time lapse. Do more of that.
Thanks
You got a nice piece of property. Sure is cleaning up nice
Remarkable transformation from the first video to this one. I spent 4 years pushing back overgrowth on my 70 acres. I figured I reclaimed over 15 acres (20%!) of pasture and crop land that honeysuckle and honey locust had taken over. Once I got it down the Angus heifers kept it as clean as a golf course.
Thanks for the video, I usually learn something and always enjoy watching!
I have to say that was some close and tight pulling getting those trees away from that building without tearing it up too bad and that was a great idea digging the hole in front of the tree to get it out without tearing up the building and not letting the tree fall onto the other building all in all you did a great job
I have to fight the wire out of the trees then pull the post. Loving the efficiency of fence demo with the 210.
Sounds like an aeromoter tower with the access ladder up one of the legs. Yes that is a maintenance platform. It’s made of wood so probably rotted out. Watched my dad do maintenance up there. Helped dad change well leathers several times. That was mostly ground work. Windmill was moved to a pasture well, which we no longer own, and a submersible pump put in its place.
That’s a hell of a way to start your day off Mr.DP. The main thing is you didn’t panic and you took action to get it out.
Good morning from Belgium, nice job guys....
That looked like a productive day. Hopefully you guys build a root rake for these projects. Stay safe
Good morning sunshine! Just how I love to start my day with DP & MBTS! Much love from Henderson Ga USA
Thanks
Never a dull moment with you two. Great, but sketchy job well done!. I was sure you were going to kill 2 buildings with the last tree. Great video.
What a difference you two have made in such a short amount of time. What a win win for both you and Chris. I really like watching you clear land and reshape land for farms. Here we are losing so much farmland because kids don't want to do what their fathers have done. I grew up on a farm and miss it so much! Anyway, great job!!
Fire isn't going to hurt it. I work at a steel mill. We would have to take an excavator underneath the furnaces when they had a tap out and would have to dig over 2000 degree steel out . Just had to take breaks every few minutes. Lights was the only thing we had to worry about.
C&C did have a Fire truck for sale lol 😊
Interesting use of Paganini's William Tell Overature.
You and Aaron DEFINITELY cleaned up many years of neglect
Mike, that building shows why it's important to keep trees at bay and away from buildings as much as possible. We had to take down a green maple (one of two green and one red) on our lawn that my grandfather had planted decades ago. It was a huge tree. My older brother hates parting with them, but the amount of light alone that I gained in my bedroom was considerable. I'm figuring the other one needs to go, IMHO. I think they help caused moss to grow on our old shingles, too ... attracting shade, moisture on the house, etc. Does that seem possible?
Ya all are always working around water filled ditch or pond except when you need it to dip the on fire excavator in to put out the fire. Loved the "Lone Ranger music.
Great video thanks for sharing. Certainly got a lot of work done. Definitely raising the value of the property with every scoop. Really neat find with the windmill, hopefully you were able to save it. Would be very cool if you were able to use its skeleton as a guide to rebuild it and put it back to work pumping to fill your pond that your planning to leave. If not it’s completely understandable. You and Arron were really making me feel just about as old as that windmill looked when you were talking about the 80’s. Having graduated high school in 82. Wishing you and your family the best.
Best use of The William Tell Overture EVER! ❤
Thanks
