    I agree 100% with everything you said - it's like you read my mind!
    Since childhood, I was particularly very impressed by the honesty and polite mannerisms of the Malay people (I went to an International school which had pretty much every nationality) They'd tell me about Malaysia, and I always wanted to go to there for a good 15 years.
    In recent years, I've been all over peninsular Malaysia (multiple trips), and honestly, I gotta say it really is a gem of a place, to visit *OR* live.
    P.S. *Old Town White Coffee* - nothing else compares :)

    In the cities, towns, commercial areas etc if u ride your motorbike/scooter without a helmet, it sticks out like a sore thumb. U'll get pulled over in minutes, it's against the traffic laws in Malaysia and it's a strongly enforced law. No one in their right minds would ride a bike without their helmets in the city lol. In residential or more rural areas however, that's a different story.

  • @rowniteranger
    @rowniteranger 7 ปีที่แล้ว +26

    I definitely agree. I'm Pinoy but I love Malaysia. I wanna live here forever if somebody wants to adopt me lol. One thing I noticed though, the cab drivers, not all but some, they dont want to use the meter and want to fleece you with whatever Ringgit they can get from you. Otherwise, I love this country very much.

      KL size 3x singapore city,,,,tapi tak berapa jauh beza sudah compare dgn singapore cuma mentality warga KL yg masih rendah suka buang sampah merata2 dan mental pengotor warga asing membuatkan KL kadang kala nampak low class di mata pelancong itu pun tgk area di KL,,sesetengah area cukup bersih belum campur lagi mentality guna public toilet masih di tahap kurang memuaskan,,tapi tak semua singapore tu bagus kebanyakan rakyat singapore semua ego kalau turun KL shopping masih kurang ajar berlagak sombong,,,malas nak komen banyak2 ,,,

      warga asing yg tinggal sekitaran pusat bandar dan area metro city almost pengotor ,,tahap guna toilet jauh lebih pengotor dari rakyat malaysia sendiri,,that why lah menambahkan kekotoran public toilet itu sendiri,,,tengok saja batu caves sepanjang tangga buang sampah merata-rata semuanya daripada pelancong asing terutama pelancong2 dari negara ASEAN,,yg tahap kebersihan nya yg lebih rendah dari warga tempatan sendiri,,

    • @bimba-lola8910
      @bimba-lola8910 8 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      pelancong dari US,,EURO,,KOREA,,JAPAN ,,super clean,,,but tourist from INDIA,,INDONESIA Bangladesh,,THAILAND,,VIETNAM,CAMBORDIA,,PHILLIPINES and All ASEAN COUNTRY very low minded,,simply2 everywhere they trow rubbish,,that why LOOK KL MORE Dirty,,,

    Hi there im malaysian myself. Just to share my opinion regarding the toilets condition in malaysia are like that becos the majority of the people is muslim of which we use water/bidet to clean up our business. It is very difficult in my opinion to keep the toilet dry when it involves water and yes something need to be figured out to mitigate this thing. Anyway, we spend very little time in the toilet thus that should not be the reason for not having fun for the rest of the day right mate? Lol

  • @mencot89
    @mencot89 8 ปีที่แล้ว +18

    The toilet situation...as a Malaysian I'd say Thailand and Indonesia has better toilets. It's crazy how in Indonesia the most isolated places even has better toilets than us lol it's a shame really

    Hey there Scott, been watching both you and aly's videos about Malaysia. Perhaps if you're planning to have a trip back to Malaysia, make sure you include Kuching, Sarawak as well. Its in the west malaysia, in the island of Borneo. You might want to check about Rafflesia, Semenggoh wildlife, Bako National Park, Gua Mulu or Niah (if you're into caves) and some other more. ^_^y

      One of the reason why Thailand's toilet to be in a better condition is due to we here in Malaysia use water to as our daily cleaning tools as opposed to toilet paper in Thailand and some other asian countries.

      TBH, SEA countries mostly had hose and bidets, it's just the matter of how malaysian use it. It's something we need to acknowledge and improve, not giving excuses.

    • @heri9949
      @heri9949 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      fastcx exactly. we actually use the hose to wash ourself as to other countries. just because they have a hose doesnt mean theyre using it they probably use toilet paper instead. although i can see why people would think its dirty but as a malaysian i dont think wet = dirty.
