Unfortunately, summertime and pesty bugs seem to go hand in hand. Time to put up some mosquito nets and get ready to head out on a new road trip adventure. For bOlder women event info: www.ireneharlo...
You will be so excited to finally pull away and get moving again. The screen on the front door looks just great. I'm looking forward to coming along on your Oregon adventure!
Hi Zia, you did a great job with the bug netting - Emma II is really coming along. Safe travels down to Oregon. You are going to have a wonderful time with the other schoolie nomads & I’m sure you are going to get many great decorating/reno ideas! Have fun!
It's always a joy to tune in to your productive videos. They are never boring. Great job installing the mosquito net at front entrance. Looking forward to you sharing your upcoming adventurous journey. Safe travels there and back.🙏❤️
Bugs be gone now you’ve secured the nets! Safe travels, and wishing for smooth problem-free sailing all the way. I look forward to following this next adventure!
I love the way you installed the door screen. It looks like you should be able to thwart those pesky bugs from coming in the door. Now if you can figure out the little top windows you will be set. Have a safe enjoyable journey. I will be looking forward to seeing the sights you share with us. Everyone should subscribe to follow your journeys. Thanks again for sharing.
HI Zia. Here's an idea I'll share about screening for your windows. In 2017 my husband and I converted a van to a space that we could sleep in for a 2 month trek across the US and Canada. As we wanted to be able to lower the side windows to allow for air at night we needed bug screens. We bought a roll of screening at the hardware store, cut it to the size of the window we were covering, and then attached it with strong magnets to the metal around the windows. It worked really well! We didn't leave them there but put them up only when we needed a bug screen. With the magnets they were easy to put on and take off. That's an idea that might work for you.....
Hi, Zia! Come night-time in Oregan, the lighter mosquito netting would be perfect to rig around your sleeping area - using velcro, if necessary. Keep it on hand 😉. May your travels be protected and everything you hope them to be. 🚐 -V
I appreciated hearing the measurements of your living space. I've got my graph paper out designing a few different floor plans for what ever size of shuttle I choose. Do you travel with a sewing machine and if so do you know how much power it draws. I see myself doing that so am wondering about what power systems I will need to make all my plans work. I love the bright and tranquil space you are creating. Im 9 hrs from that fair, hopefully see you there next year : ) Safe and happy travels!!! I look forward to your posts. I think Chuck Cassidy will be there, I have learned a lot from him, I will have it pretty well mentally built out by the time I commit to the life style.I Introduced my plans to the local welder yesterday : ) He's quite interested in the project. This summer I am car camping which for this limited creeky body will be the ultimate sea trials : ) I worked on ships all my life, don't think it will be a huge transition : ) My friend Kate will be attending your soiree in Summerland, Im looking forward t hearing all about it. I like your idea of a Canada group, I know a few of my friends are looking at this lifestyle. Together will be better : ) Thank you Zia for sharing this venture, every week I am more inspired : )
I’m excited for you and highly recommend the Bus Fair (video this Sunday) I attended Chuck’s seminar and Alyssa Bean’s…great info! I don’t have a sewing machine with me, but imagine a high wattage power station like my Bluetti AC180P could handle one. I’m looking forward to meeting Kate and all the other bOlder women. Happy camping this summer. 🚐❤️🇨🇦
Great job on the door screen! Could you cut a couple of pieces of the netting and use magnets just in a couple of windows? I can't wait to go along with you in your adventures in Emma 2!
Your bus is coming together So nicely. Great job! I’m curious about how the door works. Can you show us how you get it open when you are outside coming in, and how you lock it?
Hi from Australia. Have a wonderful time in Oregon. You are bound to get so many good ideas for your Wheel Estate. Are your plants real? In Australia I can't have real plants due to boarder restrictions.
Its not about the destination, it's about the adventure along the way!!
Absolutely Debbie! 🚐❤️🇨🇦

Hi Virginia! That’s a great idea and would make the ‘bedroom’ a little cozier and separate from the rest of my living space.❤️
Very creative and resourceful! Have fun!
Thank you! Will do!🚐❤️🇨🇦
Can I just say I love your hair! Excited for your trip to Oregon!
Thank you so much Nadine! ❤️

Sew the edge part you cut off to the left side. There are magnetic strips too.
Thanks for the tip! 😊

Thanks Adelina, I do have some scraps from my door screen that might work for that!🚐🦟
Your bus is coming together So nicely. Great job! I’m curious about how the door works. Can you show us how you get it open when you are outside coming in, and how you lock it?
Thank you Kelly! Right now my solution is temporary, but I will show that in an upcoming video.

Hi and thank you! ‘Wheel estate’… I love that! I would prefer live plants, but couldn’t bring them into the U.S. ❤️
I love watching these types of videos. The door screen looks perfect and I hope you window screens turn out the same. Safe travels!
Thanks so much Cindy! I have another idea for screening the side window screens and maybe I can try it while I’m away. 🚐❤️🇨🇦
👍🏼❤
Thanks Kari!❤️
You can just put some magnets too
That’s another good option!
😊🦟

Yes, that is the big question. I have a usb fan and ‘chiller’ which should help.🚐❤️🇨🇦
@@chasingthemoonrv or plan on not being in 90° heat 😊
Can hardly wait for the 'bus' event videos.
Might have missed something but I've been wondering what engine is in your skoolie..diesel, gas etc.?
Bus Fair video this Sunday! Emma II is a 1998 Ford Super Duty E350 V10. She runs on gas.🚐❤️🇨🇦
I made it from AB to the island, not impressed with my gas bill. Oh well c'est la vie. Enjoying the journey.
