No need, but I would always plug my controller/goggles/drone into the pc and check if there are updates and what the release notes are. Please never update unless necessary.
I'm sorry, but the remote controll 2 has no update required. Just bind as normal. If you have issues do the following. Bind the drone to the goggles ( you should have video feed) - then bind the remote by holding the power button down untill the remote starts beeping. Then do the same on the done (not the goggles)
Wow! After long time searching here I can SEE finally that I get the nice Avata OSD look also on the DJI FPV! That is what I wanted to know, because I like to have this 50 MBit display also for my DJI FPV. I will give the Googles 2 a try!
Why did mine crack, saying the version number was wrong, the glasses and the remote version were not consistent with the plane, and could not be in M gear😢
@@cyberfly8452 To hack/mod your drone you have to buy a license yes. But if you just want to change parameters or flash firmware there is no need to pay.
Hello great video. Not sure if anyone's monitoring this anymore but I'm wondering if remote ID will be required after upgrading the firmware when flying the fpv potato with the goggles 2??
@@InfinityDrones Yesterday I called DJI customer support. The guy said (after about a 10 minute hold) that after updating the fpv drone it would not take off without being hooked up to the DJI Fly app on your phone and connected by wire to the goggles. I'm just trying to find out if that is accurate. If so I will probably not upgrade. But I really love the picture quality of the goggles 2 with my 03 air unit and my old vista units.

I would suggest to get an proper answer would be to join one of the facebook dji fpv groups and ask there. Sorry, but on my end my drone just flies :) My Avata I need to connect to my phone app to get authorization when flying in blue zone(geo zones), but my fpv has dronehacks on it and is completely unlocked and can fly anywhere no issues.

@@skearon you can get that. The ham file still works in the avata and I'm betting it will will still work work on the fpv... I've just not been able to test myself yet.

@@vladimirkh.6569 No need if you're running dronehacks, but if you've updated your firmware on your droen you would have lost your dronehacks mod since it does not support the latest firmware at the moment. In that case the ham file would help yes. I have some good news hopefully for you at the end of the month with regards to the dronehacks application support for the latest firmware.

Tried the new version 1.35 to downgrade my 01.04.0000 firmware on DJI FPV but failed due to anti-rollback. For Goggles 2 support do I need to get a license?
@@namename-dx2zj It's free to downgrade on the same anti rollback version, but sadly DJI increased that rollback limit to prevent people from downgrading.
Im so confused haha i did my hack for DJI FPV and everything was working perfect. It seems that DJI released a new firmware yesterday and I could not take off until you update. I of course didnt I wanted to wait until I asked here what to do. I just took my drone outside again to boot it up an grab the firmware version they want you to update to and the warning was just gone and I could launch! So confused haha.
Question? I am trying to find the answer but not many vids on the goggles 2 and Vista links. Have a drone, updated the Vista, (Aug26/23) bound the goggles 2, but my mbs jumps around, A LOT. I flew 10ft and started losing it completely. I have True RC lchp patch, and the antenna on the drone is a lollipop lchp antenna sma connected. Why and what is the cause of mbs to jump around from 1mbs to max 21mbs but never staying on it, or going higher even after arming the drone (I took low power mode off just to make a fair test) I also put a different antenna on, and tried goggles 2 regular antenna. Same, keeps jumping. Why? What would cause this? Could use some help as I just had my entire drone collection 5k worth stolen from me, and this drone was sold to me for a reasonable price from a friend. I'm grounded till I figure out why it's doing this, please help?
Does your goggles show low power mode in the the bottom right? When you arm that should go away and it should say unlocked. If it does not do that then you have found your issue. Also check that you're not in a public channel. Manually go to Player and select channel 1 of 2 to check
@InfinityDrones I appreciate the super quick response. I turned the low power mode right off just to run it full for testing purposes (no difference) No at no point did it say low power mode on. (Not the issue) I made sure I was in 40 which "should" be the channels 1 through 3 that will give me full 50mbs. I tried multiple channels. That didn't work. The mbs jump around and I find that odd.
@InfinityDrones I can't find you on Instagram if you let me know what your socials are I can show you a quick video of the Mbs jumping around. I just don't know what would cause that. It's like it's trying, but just isn't going. I'm going to do a full flash on my FC and Vista tomorrow, I'm hoping True RC antenna will come soon as if that flashes don't work...... I don't know what would cause that.

@@InfinityDronesNot in public mode, I have 3 channels to choose from I've tried all 3. I'm going to try and bind a set of v2's shortly, if that works we know clearly it's either a antenna compatibility, or the firmware was a bust. If the same thing happens when I bind v2's to the Vista via updated firmware, I'll try and find a roll back on github for firmware rollback, if that makes the v2's work, then we know it's a firmware issue.
I was so excited when I saw this pop up but losing drone hacks is a deal breaker for me,with me having the dji FPV,and vistas,it would have been great to upgrade to the goggles 2 from v2,I hope and prey that the legends at drone hacks can look into this
Yeah, but I heard a little birdy that they are activly working on supporting the latest firmware. Fingers crossed that there will be some good news soon.

@@wastedworldexploration2842 Yes you can, as long as you do not update your dji drone's firmware you will be good to go. There might be an issue where if you update the goggles to the latest version that I would then prompt the dji fpv to want to update as well. The good news is that it should like the guys from dronehacks might be supporting the latest firmware soon! This will solve all the confusion!

The DJI FPV has had no update that enforces RID like they did on the Avata, so you can upgrade without fear.

Which drone are you using? Dji fpv? Ham file is still working on the avata.

If you switch back to dji air unit mode do you need to rebind vista or air unit again? This was the case with the goggles v2
With the goggles 2 I've not had to rebind :) but with the V2 you have to yes.
Whisch firmware supports 50mbs? Im on 01.03 now
50mb has always been supported... Have you gone in the goggles and changed the transmission to high quality mode?

@@Todd_G_FPV did you upgrade the goggles v2 to the max? If so you need to set the mhz to 40 and you be in max quality mode

Always turn on airplane mode on your phone before using the app. Only in this mode, connect the drone/goggles to the app without fear of losing hacks.
I don’t need to use my phone when you have drone hacks, never used my phone when I got the warning.
Hopefully dronehacks will support the latest dji fpv firmware. Will have news soon.

Does the new update require Remote ID on the DJI FPV?
I'm not sure, I"ll test and let you know. As far as I know it is not a requirement for the DJI FPV drone.

Does the motion controller 2 work on the FPV?
As far as I know it does . But if you're using dronehacks it won't because tye firmware does not support it.
