Hello Dan, have the 899 as well, and replaced the seal in it recently, good clip in order of replacing parts all parts but noted didn’t show witch way the bottom white plastic spring spacer went in that has a small dome on it, does the dome face back into the spring or face down into the tube, having said that I can’t remember witch I placed it, but once all assembled noted that I have a 7mm difference in the length of working area than the other fork not worked on, wondering have I put in upside down as the dome seem to be about that much in height.
Hi Dan, noted you used weight 5 light oil, wondering from factory shows recommend 7.5 seem light as well, my problem i chose to do one side and run with the 7.5 expecting the the other fork has the same, but wondering how much difference if not the case, at a guess was still factory only having 6,000 kilometers when got it.

Hey Dan, do you need that blue tool to remove the outer tube from the inner tube? Or is it only to remove the internals from the fork?
Yep, you won’t be able to remove the stanchion without removing the top nut with that tool.
When servicing the forks, what parts do you need to replace? Dust seals and the fork seals?

I don't and from memory it isn't well publicised. Since I built mine from dry, I just went with the 563ml recommendation from the manual.
