    Our 5075 Deere that mostly does the work around the Hay sheds was moving ROUND bales to the perimeter of the Field, , stopped for lunch....... in the Lull it was parked when a sever thunder storm came up a lightning was striking Pine trees all around !!! Afterwards when we went to move the tractor and it wouldn"t........ It has what deere calls a Scyn-shuttle reverser which means you have to use the clutch instead of a Power- Reverser....... The Problem was in the Combination Forward- Reverser Lever/ Clutch wiring harness, required removing dash and replacing Harness

      At least you can work on it. Every year they make tractors more complicated to work on.

      @@Mad_Farmer912 This is not the first time we have had severe electrical problems with a relatively new tractor.... My Son bought a low houred 7230 "High Clearance sight unseen from Almost brownsville Texas,..... I mean they were almost giving the tractor away ... When it got here we discovered why...... When you press the gear-change button it blew a fuse... after a few hours we found that there were two # 10 power wires coming from a relay box under the hood.. one of the wires had no voltage..... some one had installed a jumper wire n the main panel behind the seat,,, and the fuse couldn't take the extra load..... the problem was in the relay box under the hood.... some one some time in the past had changed a relay and pushed one of the terminal clips out of the Holder panel..... I have a video of my Son's wife running a round baler..... We eventually sold the tractor for the market value...... My Son and I build high Horsepower drag cars so we have a full understanding of electronic domathingies.....

      If I needed to do that I could get the neighbor and his log skidder, but luckily it's just across the road

    Check out that Oliver guy Chris Losey he has lots of videos repairing Oliver’s if you’ve never heard of him. I think the2-70 is the same as a 1655 Oliver, but I’m not 100% sure. Good luck!

      Yep I follow Chris.
      I know he's currently restoring an 1855, I'm sure the transmissions are pretty similar. I know I've seen him working on them and started scrolling through his vids trying to find one that'll show what I'm looking for.

    Never heard or seen anything like that happen to a 2/70. Stripped something off. Ig now you gotta tear it apart and figure out if it’s worth it or not. You’re not having fun until you’re breaking things 😂. Could be just a gear that the teeth stripped off and it’s easy .

      @@HeavenlyValleyFarm123 I'm thinking it's a bearing in one of the gears and not letting gear teeth to fully engage. It seems to want to move but makes noise right away. I don't want to move it and end up with something meshing wrong and taking out more gears or a shaft.
      I need to get it stuck somewhere and lift the top so I can figure it out.

    I hope ya can get that old gal fixed up again, they don't make tractors like that as they used to do

      @@goatfarmmb I'm figuring it's either a gear or bearing. Definitely will be worth fixing if parts are available. Just a matter of time, money, and getting somewhere to work on it.

    something in the clutch ?

    • @Mad_Farmer912
      @Mad_Farmer912  22 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@dogwoodish the clutch is further forward and the noise is at my feet. It also is disengaging and engaging. The noise is only when the gears in transmission start to turn.
