You have that one back running sweet. I love how those six cylinder Oliver gas engines sound. It would be nice to see it get some field time when you get ready for that.
Another battery of sadness! Your place is where batteries go to die Mr. Ross ! I’m convinced it that place, like in the jungle where old elephants go to you know what:(! Rest in pieces little sparky!
We had an old Oliver tractor on a alphapha ranch and a ford 1000 I always won on the way home. That FORD would rap out the Oliver would blunk blunk all the way home Id win!!
Oh Ross old buddy old pall let me acquire the steps off that 880 for my 770, I'm sure we can come to an agreement on them. I have lots of trading materials sitting around. I still wish you was still heading out this way so you could put your eyes on my treasures I have stashed away. Bandit
I've got a magnet on a stick that I use very happily to find parts that fall in the weeds of course if it's not iron it's usually lost. It has saved me grief on several occasions
My wife and Me both enjoy watching your videos. Although she thinks I'm too much much like you. Too many unfinished projects.😅 All well I just keep plugging along. Got to keep those old machines going.
I just met a guy who keeps plugging along. He was in Walmart buying an engagement ring. I told him that she would expect pretty baubles from now on. He said this is his second engagement ring and had bought the first 3 months ago. My Spidey Sense kept me from asking if the first one's receiver, kicked him to the curb. Now that is a guy who would be putting Zenith carburetors on with the hopes they will actually function like they did when the tractor was new. That 880 sure sounds good. I still think the 770 with the factory muffler had the best sound and back in the day they were the big horse on the family farm.
It's good that you had that carburetor from the 1650, just have to get one for it, when the time comes. Yeah that rim was in pretty bad shape, I have a few of those myself to fix. It's one project at a time, good luck on that one!
I have had very good luck with eliminating that accelerator pump/ enrichment / power valve mechanism. I take and drive brass plugs made from braizing rod into the vacume and fuel passages. Then use and adjustable load jet in the bowl. Then you just have a basic simple adjustable up draft carb.
I bought that carburetor from Allstate tractor parts as a good reman carb. So you should probably lay it on the tree stump of doom and send all the pieces to them along with a not so friendly letter lol
HI ROSS 😊😊 that other carb that pump be bad IVE heard of that be 4 😮😮 some times U need more than carb cleaner 2 clean W now they have the new cleaners that U can put them in 2 clean them some times U have 2 take carb 2 a shop and have dipped 2 clean it and cleaned out W a air hose 😊😊 IVE seen that be 4 also 😮😮 OMG 8 27 2O24
Ross I remember when Denver Klings hired hand started a JD 4wheel drive "8630 I think" with a screwdriver and it was in gear. Threw Vondilgan under the duals and ran completely over him and Denvers wife tried to pull him out and in the process got her leg ran over and crushed. Both survived and recovered but took both of them a long time.. Can't be too careful. I believe it was Steve Vondiligan that got hurt or maybe Gary. Can't remember. Probably before your time. That 880 wouldn't kill you but it sure would make you sore and just piss you off lol.
I'm glad you have a good selection of old equipment but that stuff with wood on it that's been stored away in dry barns doesn't deserve to sit out in the element, s
FUBAR! All things are normal! I've always yearned for a 880 or a close relative, to pull my model 18 combine with! Heck their so prolific in your area, they grow like weeds! 😄 I bought one of those screw type bead busters, used it once and the threaded screw stretched and won't work anymore!
Need to start working on one project at a time til it's finished and 100%, would make things go so much faster instead of bits and pieces and forgetting where you are and starting over again...
Great job as always. Nice looking tractor. Keep up the good work and be safe
Breathing new life into an old tractor absolutely great Ross

It sounds good. Thanks for the video. See you later.
Looks like a big chore to keep everything running
880 is really straight! Sounds real good to!
Nice!
No one person could possibly keep them all running perfectly . Great video Ross ,see ya tomorrow
Nice video Ross. Great to see another ole Oliver running again, plus gained some target practice with that old carb you took off. Thanks for sharing.
Sounds really good!!

Rest in pieces little sparky!
It sure is something how good the older tractors look, compared to the dumb looking new junk!
They definitely had more individual style back then. Nowadays everything looks the same
Ross, it's good seeing you working on the 880 again. Thanks Michael
Thats how the new gas cans work?
They sound great when running
Dandy video Ross

Nice to hear the 880 growling away. With a little fine tuning it ought to be ready to roll.

P.S. love all the tractors you have
Ross, you may want to become a tire and battery outlet. You would be your best customer!
Those are sweet looking tractors, wish I had one.

changing the carb was a good move runs a lot better now

When you guys come over to my place remind me to give you some front wheels tires I won’t ever have a use for them again

Nice tractor, just needs a little TLC. Thanks Ross

It's clicking here, leaking there, we got nothing.... LOL
With that carb the engine sounds a lot better.
Looks like you got greased up in the process. 😊

You keep forgetting about the tripod that you got from a viewer so you could free up your hands.🙌 😢😢😢
Hey, brakes aren't stuck
😁👍👍👍👍👍
Hi friend. Which carby do you think is best on a tractor.
The Zenith comes so highly recommended, why junk?
My throttle lever is not moving freely, must be binding under the battery. Is that just lubrication or rust or....?
👨🔧🚜👍🚂
Think the 880 will run that 10' mower better than the S88 ?
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
But it is still a runner that just needs a little TLC and it won't be a pile of sadness for too much longer.
Sounds like most of your tractors might need clutch brake work notice slot of grinding in your videos
Power booster is a different animal
Does the high low still work?
I have a question did you get the tool that breaks down tires at harbor freight ?

Time to ditch that gopro and get yourself a DJI...
You may need a helper in keeping up with all of your projects.
Do you have a wife and kids
👍👍👍👍👍
