The Nero Show was spot on in their prediction about this a week ago! Giant are wise to fly you out to see this wonderful bike David. It looks amazing. If I was going to buy a new bike, I would seriously consider this. Giant makes great bikes that perform very well and which are great value. What’s not to like.

Yep. No regrets at all buying the old TCR 3 months ago, especially at a big discount.
Minor improvements, but price increases on the new models seem to be limited too, so looks like TCR's still offer incredible price/performance.
Looking forward to the factory video very much.

Not really a good price. Now TCR is about same price as Trek, Bmc and other brands. With current discount on groupsets you can buy any frame, wheels, kit plus electronic groupset and build whatever you like.

@@stanislavkindiakov6334it's about £1500 less frame only. Even at halo spec, full build, that translates.

Giant is killing it in my opinion. I have a 2023 Defy and am very happy. But the new Defy and this are raising the bar. My favorite thing about Giant is the value. Many people don’t know how good these bikes are because they prefer to pay more for the same or even less.

It's cool. But it's also good to know I have peak TCR with the previous gen to this new one. As a home mech for my friends and I it's good to be able to change stems/bars if needed. I came from an emonda with metron 5d acr integrated and I don't regret it at all. I adore my 2023 TCR advanced pro disc with DA-9170 finally a bike that I can say is THE BIKE for me. The only thing the new one has that I'd like is the lack of the little web foot-looking piece between the seat stays. Thanks for the first impression though Dave! Was excited to see what they came up with. Now it seems there wasn't much they could improve on without changing the bike entirely.

Awesome. I've been meaning to update my older SL0 with rim brakes to a new SL0! I ride in a rolling and mountainous area in the Canadian foothills and rockies and found the TCR to tackle it all with a big fun factor. Not so sure on aero as I do not race or tackle time trials solo. Legs make the big difference and the guys on brand new Aeroads, Cervelo S5s, BMCs and Tarmacs are always behind me on my long 100km+ rides. Good to see light and fun still rules!!

I need to take the handlebar off and lower the seatpost before putting in the bag, so the feature is a plus. The next question for me is how it rides compare to the new Defy? Does bigger tire clearance and slower(but might be more comfort) make any difference?

Really great review David. Actually very honest and balanced, which is nicely surprising considering they invited you out there! But those prices?😮 They’re on a par with Spesh and Pinarelo. Though the Pina is a bit of a fat boy and the Spesh is a bit ugly in my opinion. The TCR looks rather sexy. But I’m sure most people, when spending £10-12K, would rather have Spesh or Pina on their frame than Giant??

I think they are looking more twiggy than the previous generations. Would it be more fragile if knocked from the side? Would the fork withstand the powerful braking force from the disc brake? Especially with a heavier rider?

Do you have any idea if it worths upgrading to new Cadex max 40 system while currently using old Cadex 42mm wheels with 19.4mm rim width? I’m using 28mm tires. No comparison or info available between new max 40 and old 42. Thanks.

Going to make a huge difference to average guy if bike is 7kg instead of 10,5kg. Im not extra fit but I blast past people on 5-10k€ bikes often. Dont spend on stuff you dont need, aka 30W saved at 40kmh dont matter if you go 24kmh. Just buy a comfy cheaper bike and 100liters of beer.
