May I ask why you started the dent pulling in the lower section of the door which also happened to pull the larger dent out above where you pulled? And why you didn't start by pulling from the centre of the large dent?

Thanks Ian, yes lighting is the biggest issue in all my videos, for me it's either raining and the light is poor, or there is harsh direct sun on the car creating problems. OK OK OK. I watch these automotive paint and body work channels where comments say “you sir are a master craftsman” and the like. Well. I think that your ability to NOT have to pound sand grind and smooth is real craftsman work. I am blown away by your ability. I think most people have no idea how March damage is done to a car by brute force body work with welders and grinders. That stuff or great for an old school 60’s hot rod restoration but with todays new cars your skills are going to be more popular. Your industry needs to get more people before people bring the auto back to the dealer after that fender bender.

If you check some reviews from the recent MTE, they give some good advice on the use of cold glue, taken from the Russians. They use your normal plastic tabs with cold glue, but they keep'em attached to the slide hammer adapters using hot glue. Other cool trick - they don't use alcohol to clean the panel, they just touch it with some buffing compound, like residues off the buffer pad. They say the glue sticks much better.

Hey Paul, yes I've had that idea in the pipeline for a while, but other things keep coming up. I do hope to make more videos like that as I am a 'make it yourself' kind of person as lots of tools I would love to own are way out of my budget. So it is definitely on my list of videos to do. Yes, you can buy a good PDR in a kit form and then add different tools as you progress. The Glexo Cold glue is amazing and I use it all the time and the same piece of glue lasts for a very long time if you look after it and keep it clean 👍
