I don't know why there are a lot of negative comments about this movie. I think it shows Hitchcock's sense of humor; a great story line, and truly beautiful photography...
I never saw this film until now and I've seen almost the full of Hichtcock Opus but never this one. It needs to be said that Hichtcock hadn't this movie on great appreciation but I really appreciate your kindness loading this movie on TH-cam. Thanks so much 👍
I started watching this in the middle at random and this is the scene I found: 27:34. A funny sight gag wickedly done There are scenes throughout the film as memorable.
Definitely an oddity in the Hitchcock canon, between BLACKMAIL and THE 39 STEPS. But you can see elements here that he would employ in later films, including the cuts in the orchestra scenes.
Especially the outhouses. What splendor could be better? Pee and poop in the woods with poison ivy all around, and worse, accidentally mistaking it for toilet paper.
@@jesseowenvillamor6348 Ah yes, the old "you can only critique something shitty if you've also made something, otherwise the critique holds no weight" chestnut. Never gets old (or good)...

Alfred Hitchcock makes a comedy! We all knew he had a great, if odd, sense of humor 😊
a comedy...with just the right amount of tension!
Perfection...!
When the audience is a rockin, blue Danube is rockin for them. Sounds great.
Awesome. Thank you for sharing
Bravo, very delightful movie,
It's great. Light, whipped cream comedy and lovely music, beautiful camerawork.

You want to keep a man? Support him in fulfilling his dream and he will love you for it,
you take it away from him and it's a sure way to lose him.
Support for each other is important, indeed
Amen!
Absolutely. Never come between a man and his work.
Very interesting, CCC delivers as always. Thanks for all the entertainment!
Beautifully filmed😊

فلم اكثرمن رائع شكراًجزيلاً لترجمه للعربيه
I haven't finished it yet but I just have to say the hat throw and catch at 26:34 is great! I wonder how many takes Hitchcock needed for that scene.
Absolutely 😊
Notice the bpace is a little faster than usual. Hitchcock has heightened the "expectation" level ..ready for one of his surprise twists....😊
Esmond knight, survived devestating hit on the bridge of his ship Prince of Wales in ww2
Absolutely hero! I hate a fan group for him on Facebook called My hero Esmond Knight.
Note that Korngold is credited as one of the music arrangers

@rokkitjskwerl2098 What do you mean exactly by saying that these guys aren't quite ready to rock?!
what a great time to be alive! royalty, peasants and outhouses.
Especially the outhouses. What splendor could be better? Pee and poop in the woods with poison ivy all around, and worse, accidentally mistaking it for toilet paper.
You should have a choice, whether or not to have the CC😬
These guys aren't quite ready to rock
This was an Alfred Hitchcock film?
@@steveblundell7766 It's a good movie. Reminds me of Jamaica Inn with the great Charles Laughton. Very different from Hitchcock's usual fare.
Thriller movie 😂😂😂😮
The 1930s made the best movies in my humble opinion
WOUB TV in Athens Ohio plays noir movies on friday night and this is on. I wont have to watch it on my phone.😎

Hitchcock Hour was much better. This gibberish isn't worthy of his talents. Oh, he was just practicing?
he regarded it as something to pay the bills
What's the title of the movie that you directed?
