I think we all expected a Ghost of Tsushima sequel eventually, given how awesome the first game was. Just didn't expect SuckerPunch to turn it into an anthology franchise.
So does that bother all who agree?
Glad to hear you can have greater control over the story in the new Ghosts game. I remember possibly the only thing that bothered me in Ghosts of Tsushima was how playing honorably had little to no effect on the story. I was actually kind of annoyed when Jin decided to use poisons in a cutscene despite the fact that I hadn't been using dishonorable tactics at all.
Given how Ghost of Tsushima ended, I would have loved to see a direct sequel where Jin and Yuna began training ninjas, as that was the style it seemed like it was going in.
Not to mention that the Emperor was sending additional Samurai so it would've been good to see a storyline between the two groups.
I am quite excited for the Lunar Collection and Soul Reaver remasters.
I always struggled to think of where it could go past "now we're ninjas and we're on the run". Maybe we could go to mainland Japan and try to clear our name, or a new threat arises and we train new ninjas. But I'm not mad at the idea of a new story all together, probably easier to judge on its own merit. Maybe for the next game after we go back to Jin. Maybe the protagonist is a decendant of Jin. I'm hype for this
@kylelyons6088 oh definitely. I'll be playing it regardless. Sucker Punch put out a solid game with GoT so picking up the second one is a no brainer for me.

@@MarloLaw if that were the case, they would have done it. The dlc for GoT was okay, but the scope of a ninja clan going up against the Emperor's Samurai should be larger in scope imo.

A 10 dollar upgrade which includes all the mocap work, overall graphical improvements to feel like how FW plays, and all the PS5 controller goodies?
Seems pretty reasonable to me and I am very much looking forward to existing in this world again.
It's not a bad deal, I just have already played the game for over 100 hours and I don't feel the need to go back at this time. If when I do I will probably upgrade for the $10
The thing that would most entice me to revisiting ZD is a weird feature that probably no one else cares about. I wish they would add a questline to obtain a paraglider outfit, much like the experimental armor from the original game. There are so many great locations that it would be so fun to jump off and go flying down past mountaintops and over valleys at high speed.
For $10, I can see myself picking it up.

@@MrBazBake no one was against the ninja of the 2 protagonists in the new AC, everyone is against the revisioning of history that Ubisoft tried to do with the other protagonist that shall not be named, and then adding hip-hop to a character that has nothing to do with hip-hop except the skin color, when everyone wanted an Asian main character...
I really look forward to the Ghost sequel even if it is with a new protagonist. If they do an equally good job at the story telling, gameplay and gorgeous landscapes I will have no complaints ☺️ Also looking forward to the Lakehouse DLC for Alan Wake 2 ☺️ Been waiting for that one. 😝 Hell is us looks interesting to me too.

I’m torn on Ghost of Yōtei. On the one hand I’m so hyped it’s finally been announced, 4 years after Ghost of Tsushima & it’s releasing next year.
But on the other hand, it’s not really sequel, it’s a separate story, not continuing Jin’s story which is pretty lame IMO.

Why should anybody have to pick a side and stick to it? That's a terrible way to live your life. When presented with new information you should have another look at the situation. As for doing things just for traffic...is this your first day on the internet?

Whether someone is doing well can CHANGE! and Opinions can change too depending on releases at any given time. If someone is doing bad but something amazing comes out then you’d possibly say with that release they’re doing slightly better. What a harrow mind you must live with.
Why? Opinions can change just as companies can fluctuate in terms of doing good and bad too. A company doesn’t do good or bad 100% of the time. What a daft attitude to have.

Now unless every single male only wants to play males it's stupid to suggest 'most' gamers just want to play as males. The main characters gender is down to the developer and what they want.

I'll buy a used PS5 just for GOY lol I loved GOT, so I'm excited enough about to do it. It looks awesome, and SP released a fully polished, fully complete game last time out. That's reason enough for me
@kylelyons6088 for sure brilliant game but they showed this to entice people to get the ps pro when the og ps5 is all you need. They are fucking you for the trade in to the pro, they are giving like 400 for it towards the pro. There is almost no improvement that most gamers can see or are knowledgeable enough to look for let alone name the setting. This game is a win but to say it's best experience is on the pro console, that's just incorrect the og ps5 is a wonder

Amazing state of play
I just couldn't get in to horizon. i tried a few times. It is generally exactly what i like, but maybe it was the oddness with the action, the focus on robots, or just the goofy names, im not sure what it really was but i just couldn't get in to it.
That's a shame. It is my all-time favorite game mainly for the gameplay, but once the story starts picking up, I could not put it down.
It is such a unique world that I can see how it could be hard to get into for some people, though.

Honestly not good enough to overshadow the ps5 pro price or the mandatory psn account for pc games. A handful of games and nonsense remasters isnt enough to drive a mid generation refresh.

Too many remasters. Horizon already has an upscaled PS5 update, why does it need a remaster (and probably for 70 bucks too). I am now expecting a God of War Remaster next since Sony can't make anything new.
Trailer for the Zero Dawn Remaster said nothing about the Frozen Wilds DLC and neither you mentioned here that it wasn't mentioned in the trailer lol.

Hopefully the gun combat makes it a true leap in gameplay. The one issue Sony 1st party games seem to have is sequels don't feel like true sequels. The are often very safe. Ragnarok added the Draupnir weapon but that was it. I loved the first Horizon, but was just indifferent with Forbidden West.
I was actually pleasantly surprised since we also got DLC announcements from 3 of my favorite games, Stellar Blade, Alan Wake 2 (the first DLC was awesome) and Astro Bot. That claymation game looked cool too. I am also happy there is finally a date for the Metro VR game.
15:00 Control is literally a spin off of Alan wake and the Control DLC was effectively a “crossover” (If you want to call it that). And Alan wake is ALREADY a “crossover” as we learn on the ending. So I think it’s more of a big interconnected story , rather than an after thought like the MCU.
LEGO Horizon cracks me up, they haven’t invented the accessibility settings I would need to make sense of all the crazy visuals.
I was really captivated by Hell is Us, until I looked closer at the gameplay and realized it had to be a Soulslike. I just can't with those games. I honestly love the dark dingy world that most of them take place in. I love a good Action RPG. I just can't do it. I cannot find the joy in spending dozens of hours grinding for such a tiny incremental increase in power, and still get steamrolled by normal enemies, let alone bosses.
This is why the gaming industry never has to change. No matter how outrageous, outlandish or how trash their practices get, they can release 1 sequel regurgitation, 4 or 5 remasters of things you can ALREADY play and some half work DLC to make people give them all the money. I didn't believe it when i was young, but as i get older, I truly believe that video games at a young age cause severe brain damage. Enjoy the state of the gaming industry. Each and every one of you you fully deserve it.
I am very happy with the Legacy of Kain remake but imagine that a studio like BluePoint can do with it.
Might play ghosts but ehh ill pass on the pro the rest of state of play was very underwhelming in my opinion 😮💨

Lunar remaster, legacy of kain remaster, ghost of yotei got me hyped. Hell is us looks interesting. And some dlc announcements pretty solid to me.
Maybe this means Sony & their lawyers will join palworld in court against Nintendo greed on their power trip

I do not own a PS5 nor an Xbox, but I would be furious to get out of a State of Play just 2 remasters (Horizon clearly not needed or asked) and a surprise sequel. It starts to feel like they are following the Ubish!t model and don't listen to their fans. Even I know that everyone wants a Bloodborne remastered, a Days Gone sequel or some PS3 classics brought back to light. And I am no analyst.

I recently got Horizon Zero Dawn for about 12 bucks, so I feel like I'm one of the few people that would properly benefit from a PS5 update because I'd then only be spending 22 bucks instead of the 45-70 range most would be. But I also don't want to do that so Sony will stop updating recent games with extremely minor details. You wanna charge me 60 bucks to play Enslaved: Odyssey to the West with PS5 graphics and haptics, I'm all for it, You wanna charge me 10 more bucks to get 3% more pores on characters in Detroit: Become Human, nah I'm good

I wouldn't say they redeemed themselves yet but it's a start I saw the presentation as a reaction show to the negative press and say hey we still want to be good but to say they haven't had great games in years is dishonorable

I wasn't surprised I post on the last whatculture what games ya expect to see at this show. I said we may get a death stranding or ghost of Tsushima reveal half way through the video. And I wasn't surprised by the rest of it either in truth. I've come to expect disappointment when it comes to Sony. Like, I'm usually psyched for any big game reveal, but when ya are trying to sell a console for an extra couple of hundred and only have 1 good game at your big show, it's scandalous. And I'm a little disappointed but not surprised, Insomniac and Naughy Dog remained quiet.
This was the most mid news ever to get hyped about.
