      335's are just great guitars. Old 335's I've heard referred to as "burst killers". The one is a stock 2019 purchased from SW site unseen and is just a great guitar.

    Jesus. This amp is coming next year. I'm still in the honeymoon phase with my Wreck Jr., which isnthe best amp I've ever played. I don't even play any of my other amps anymore. It's retired all of them and most are going up for sale. Killer chops! Tone machine.

    good demo and playing, but I was hoping to hear more modern heavy metal riffage after reading the description of the amp in my Sweetwater catalogue! Seemed to emphasize how blistering the gain is and how effective it is at capturing the heaviest of modern metal tones. Still can't complain with the songs you chose, I have a pretty good idea of this amp's range. An amp I'll have to keep my eye on :)

    Beatin’ Around the Bush sounded very good. So many modern amps lose the rawness that makes older amps so Rock! Seems there’s a few flavors in this amp.....Just read it has 6L6’s. Haven’t heard 6L6 amps sound that EL34 like since Brown Fenders.....lol

Thanks to all the people out there, who are so kind & generous to give priceless info 2 people like me. I applaud you in a world that seems to have lost its way, it's people like yourselves that renew my faith & hope 4 mankind. Much, much Love to all of you!!! Sincerely, jc

      Faith + Hope * Love back at you. :) Mr. Scary - Octaver (H9) and Friedman boost (both light) on intro. Ice Nine - stepped on boss chorus on a couple of the chords and delay in post. Scorps drop D tune - wah and boost on that middle solo guitar thing. Delay on Floyd thing in post. The rest is pretty much all straight up guitar to amp, maybe a little verb in post. The amp has a lot of ways to shape the gain and tonality. Have a great day!

    Wow makes me want to buy one! Own a PRS Archon , Recto and a Bassman reissue ..

    • @AdamGotheridge
      @AdamGotheridge 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's a great amp, period, player to player. Demos of the Archon I've heard are cool, don't have a recto, though have some synergy/randall related stuff, and have an old blues deville (tweed bassman circuit more or less) and a blackface bassman. If I could trade the ones I own and know for a caz, I'd be way ahead of the game. Just a perspective to think about. Archeon sounds great, particularly at that price point, but I'm kind of guessing that in 10 to 20 years it will be non-functional and this amp will still be going strong for decades after that.

    • @247Progrock

      Adam played in the Rush tribute Animation. Alex Lifeson's guitar tech said to him after opening for Heart at Milwaukee Fest "you're better at doing Alex than Alex is!" He heard their set, Rush was on the other stage, and came over to see "Alex". I grew up with this guy playing in bands. He's a genius - besides a wicked guitarist, nicest guy you'd ever want to meet too.

    Are we gonna ignore that sweet sounding snare?

    • @AdamGotheridge
      @AdamGotheridge 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Well, not me! ;) It's a 6.5" Ludwig Black Beauty with a Remo Powerstroke P3 top batter head. 57 on top with a DBX 160x compressor, no bottom mic, lots of snare in the overheads (Shure SM81's). The few lugs on the rimshot side loosen a lot and really fast, like 3 minutes of playing and he's cranking them down another 1.5 turns or so. That's the gear side, but I can't stress enough how important the player is in the equation. Within a few minutes he has the whole set tuned where each drum sounds good on its own as well as well the relationship to each other drum. It's kind of like 80% of the tone is is person and 20% is the gear. Hope that helps.

    Dr Z. quick question why Don't you make bass amps us bass players want to get our hands on something well made to you no

    • @DrZAmplification
      @DrZAmplification  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most bass players require over 100 watts over power which would mean a much larger, heavier, and expensive set of parts and the price and demand is not that feasible for an all tube bass amp these days.
