I'm seeing this freestyle some months later and thinking that Shion got too many dislikes because his freestyle was exactly the same thing that he used to win JN and Asia Pacific (and I guess that his Asia Pacific's performance was slighly better than this one when it comes to execution). If Shion only had compete at WYYC in 2017, I bet that the amount of dislikes would be much lower.
Deserving or not deserving a win is a crappy reason to like or dislike. The results are the way they are, you can't change that. If you don't like the way the scoring system works, suggest an amendment to it to the IYYF. There's no reason to put someone's freestyle down just because you don't like the way the scoring system, which is out of the control of the players, is designed.
