Good review. You are spot on! My new Hightail Yellow CVO Street Glide came in three weeks ago and I did my own inspection when I first saw it after the dealer prep. I found a couple of issues; first, the power-on switch button on the left side handlebar just popped off! also, the outer fairing was not seated properly showing a gap between the inner and outer fairing up on the right side by the mirror. My dealer took care of those issues immediately. For what we are paying for these bikes, they must be perfect before you take them home! Any further issues you have especially under the first two years, I'm sure your dealer will honor them. If by chance they don't, Just report them to Milwaukee, believe me, they don't want you to do that!

That’s really making me wonder what the heck is going on with HD!? I actually joke with the guys at the dealer that my bike was the training bike at the factory for the CVO line.
Great video, hope you do alot more like this one. I am glad you spoke of the daily use of riding your motorcycle as most people think the Touring line of Harley Davidson motorcycles are just for long trips and freeway riding only. Lots of Police agencies buy Harleys for city traffic duty such as in San Francisco. Hope to talk to you latter! Oh, I have the Street Glide ST model on order.

just bought the same bike yesterday... FYI West end motorsports has the eclipse finish Khromewerks exhaust in stock. I ordered mine before I took delivery of the bike. Got mine in 3 days. Im now waiting on the star racing 30:30 cam to get it how it should be. Thanks for the video.

I agree with your assessment of the 117 compared to the 114. I have owned three 2021 SGS's with 114's. First one I installed the screaming eagle power cam and HD tuner. Second I installed the torque cam and HD tuner. Both had full exhaust and were dyno tuned. I sold both of those bikes and now I have a 22 SG ST and a 21 SG CVO which are both stock. In my experience I found the power cam 114 most comparable to the stock 117 on the SG ST, and the torque cam 114 comparable to the CVO's 117. Basically I'm getting the same performance out of my 117's that I was getting from my modified 114's without any of the longevity issues you might have with a modified valvetrain. I've decided to sell the SG ST and keep the CVO. I have not experienced any of the quality control issues that you noted with any of my 21 and newer SG's. I've owned five so far but maybe I just got lucky.
Wow, quite the collection! I found that I hated the louder drivetrain noise when I upgraded the cam in my 114, so having a 117 avoids that now, as long as I keep it stock. I do however, want to do a full exhaust in the near future. Unfortunately the QC issues were very disappointing but it’s the luck of the draw I guess lol. Thanks for watching, much appreciated!
I have the same bike and had three of the same issues. Right bag lock, gas filler trim ring and the gas tank decal around the lit center. All three fixed under warranty.
My 2019 CVO Mako Shark Road Glide has the same issue with the the gas cap ring. I’ve replaced it twice and it’s not sticking in some areas so it will be replaced again.
Hello my name is LeBarron I have the exact same bike, I have floating rotor’s on mines took it back three time to two different dealer,no results,talk with customer service as well nothing but we can’t do anything because it’s not a hazard to the bike. I was told to buy new rotors,very poor service,very disappointed,very unhappy.Is this normal.please help someone.please
They do make a certain amount of noise because they are “floating” which is perfectly normal. As long as there’s no pulsating in the lever, I think you’re good. As far as customer service, that’s definitely an area HD needs work on. Thanks for watching!
For a $45k bike, there shouldn’t be any flaws from front to back. I own 2 HDs and will be an HD fanatic for life but come on, HD should pay top notch dollars for factory QAs on top notch bikes!
For the money that they get for these, you would think their QC would be a lot more on top of it. That’s the problem now days no one takes pride in their work!
They come out of the factory that way, because they know someone is going to buy it regardless of the quality. Put CVO on it and it is sold before it is built. Thought out the years the CVO s are getting closer to the special's. No longer the biggest motor they make, three inches more than the next motor. No longer using screaming eagle cam plate or other SE parts. Single color paint schemes, 3,000 more for a CVO paint scheme.
Not acceptable for 50k, I get harleys are beautiful but that would drive me crazy, all companies source out too many parts thats a problem plus there just banging these bikes out
