Thanks much, this was a truly helpful tip. God inspired you to explain it in such an easy way that even a child can understand. May God continue to bless you.
Thanks for the easy explanation. My question is, how do I make the space on the second and following header sections smaller as my header on the first page is a large image and the header space is too big on the following pages?
Hello Chester, in my document, the "link to previous" is grayed out and when I clicked on it nothing happened. The text on the first page document is still showing on the following pages. What am I missing?
I just had to add a section to the same old document that I originally referred to this video for, and I figured I could quickly Google something as a refresher since I had already done it before, but of course it didn't work so I had to dig back through my saved videos to this video and you saved the day again! Please don't ever delete this video! No one else seems to be able to explain it as good as you. And after doing this twice I now figured out the big picture of how to have multiple sections with its own header and its group of page numbers within one word document. Big THANK YOU again!
I have a custom letterhead. When I print it on A4 paper, it show spaces on top and sides. I have even tried microsoft templates, but same result. I want to have a letterhead which prints edge to edge.
I did exactly what you described, but still get the front background photo (only meant for the 1st page) on the third and fourth page, the third and fourth page being 'section' 2 and 3. And you'd think you can just delete those for those sections by selecting the header in there, and deleting the image THERE, but that also deletes the image on the first page (first section). It's absolutely bonkers how incredibly difficult microsoft has made such a simple thing as placing and deleting images on the right page ... Anyone got a solution?
Thanks! I managed it thanks to you. Greetings from Istanbul-Türkiye.

Very insightful
Why doesn’t word just have a ‘make exception’ button. So you can specifically customize any page you want that is unlinked to all other pages.
