Performance wise, PowerHD G1 is a better gyro. But if the space is limited then AFRC V3 is better. The AFRC is already very good for RWD drifting, PowerHD G1 makes things so easy that I feel like it's on the verge of cheating.
Can’t get mine to work, once I have in bind mode, I turn the wheel, click the button and it flashes green then orange , not sure why but wheels don’t act like gyro is working
Try and reset the gyro EPA setting then see if it works properly first. If you turn one side and it doesn't register properly you have to reset it. And try with another side first next time. Also if the steering EPA is already at 100, you do not need to set it on the gyro. Just set the gyro direction and that is enough.

@@BeaversHobby ok thanks!
@@BeaversHobby Hi Beaver, as I told you the hgd1 arrived, I assembled it and everything went ok (by the way, now it comes without a box but in an envelope, really ridiculous for 150 euros, also now the front frame has some small horns for the magnetic brackets) but let's get to the problem :) I tried everything with the gain but there is no way to drive it, it turns on itself and the steering is shaking left and right as soon as I touch the accelerator, paradoxically much better drift with my wltoys, i thought it might be due to tires not suitable for my tile floor, could it be? Or am I wrong something? Next to the gain there are two switches with numbers and letters, do you know what they are? Thank you for your patience!!
Is it suitable for a 1/18 drift car ?
Yes, it is. You can also use it on 1/10 if you like.
I know that this is labled as a drift gyro but can it also work for straightline speed run setups too?
Yes, it will. Just turn the gain down.
Can u make a review for afrc gyro v4?
Thanks for the suggestion. I'm not sure yet but I'll keep that in mind.
I will be nice to have a video for AFRC GYS-2 V4 too 🙂
The setup procedure is the same as far as I remember. Anyway, I'm trying to get one to see how much improvement it has.
🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
спасибо. полезная информация.
Compare GT55racing V4 and AFRC V4 pls
I didn't know the AFRC V4 came out so thanks for the heads up. I'll try to get it but this will take some time.
Right now, just go for GT55 V4, it's the best I've tried.
@@BeaversHobby Thank you
nice video
Great video...
is this compatible with the wltoys k989?
Yes, it is compatible. However you might need to convert the plug because some of the new version come with JST-SH plug and the plug is smaller than the gyro.
@@BeaversHobby thank you so much, i have just installed it and i am unable to turn all the way to the right but i am able to turn all the way to the right. why is that?
@@kostazografos8878 There might be a setting (PWM range) conflict between the output and the gyro. Try and reset the gyro setting to see if you can turn all the way. As far as I've tried you can't set the EPA with stock electronics otherwise some weird things will happen like unable to turn or the steering get stuck.
okay sounds good thank you so much!!!!
@@kostazografos8878 My pleasure.
Hi, I bought this gyro but it doesn't seem to work with the k969 supplied receiver ... is this normal? Can you help me please?
Plug the 3 wire of the gyro (from 4 wire cord) into the 2-in-1 and plug the servo into the gyro and it should work. You can adjust the gain with the dial on the gyro.
@@BeaversHobby Yes I did, but the direction of the connector was wrong !!! Thanks for giving me the confidence that it had to work !!!
@@CiroZeno Does it work now?
@@BeaversHobbyYes but I have a problem when I set the right end point...It blink red if I rotate all to right...why in your opinion?
I'm afraid there is a problem on the servo ... if I try to set the end point to the right it works only if I don't do it completely, the end point to the left does not give problems. At the end of the setting, I am left with the flashing green LED but if I turn all the way to the right it starts flashing red as if it detects a problem on the right end point. I don't know if I made myself understood...thanks
Thanks so much

@@BeaversHobby ขอบคุณครับผม

How do you reverse the gyro ?
Skip to 2:02 to see how to reverse the direction.
@@BeaversHobby oh thanks must have missed that
mine make a purple light
Does the servo work outside of the gyro? You should try and reset it, check the manual.
@@BeaversHobby i thing it is faulty servo ive try to plug it to rx directly and making the same thing by pressing two times on the gyro will enable the purple and pressing two times again bring it back to red light but i think without a servo or faulty servo it is not possible to adjust the gain
@@tabarnakdecris6917 Without the servo you won't see the effect anyway. Do you have any other servo to try?
is someone can show how freaking wire this damn thing???
If you use the micro plug( white plug) it can only go in one way and you can't do reverse polarity with the provided plug.
In the package you will have plug with 4 pins on one side and that goes to 3-wire plug and 1-wire plug.
The 3-wire goes into the channel 1 on the receiver.
The 1-wire goes into the channel 3 on the receiver or any other channel that you can set it to VR (variable rate/knob).
Then you plug your servo into the gyro on the port with 3 pin.
🫡ok nice thank you this help me alot
Any difference.between this and gy04m v3
The same.
Miss you Beaver 🦫! Hope you’re well
