- Here he is, the final boss of this game that literally trolled everyone in the most lunatic way ever. I really, REALLY wish I could include the cutscenes for him but sadly and again, copyright is in the way, so there's only the fight, and it's damn great.

devilleon7 I kinda wish that the bosses in this game would be on a close level with you (e.g. if your level 75, the boss would be anywhere between 70-80) but at the same time, I’m glad ya whooped Targa like Punk Ass Abe from Yakuza.
What's the deal with him anyway ? I don't have the game, but I remember the japanese version. It seemed he had some kind of special body or something like Souther.

For those who want to know, Targa suffered some horrific injuries during the war that launched the nukes. He survived and was made into a cyborg by his remaining commanders before he left to do his own thing.
He believed himself to be superior to Hokuto Shinken because he thought having cybernetics nullified the pressure points in his body, making him immune to its effects. He forgot that there was still parts of his body that wasn't cybernised, that would be effected by Kenshiro's attacks.

Ken managed to explode a tank, I think he'd still be able to smash targa to pieces without the use of pressure points.
To be fair he was kinda right, so Ken had to resort to repeated blunt trauma injuries to get the job done.
Nothing like kicking him in the “Family Jewels” will do the trick and end everything before It starts.

Targa, like Jagi, learned the hard way what happens when you bring a gun to a Hokuto Shinken fight.

Targa is a goddamn idiot. He already lost to Kenshiro twice and only survive because his luckines. and also he still try to fight Kenshiro with gun Although gun are useless against Kenshiro. and he should already understand if his body are only half cyborg so he still have a lot of pressure point and his motivation to be the ascendant are stupid af. Even Jagi are not that stupid.
Funny how Kenshiro actually indirectly save Raoh and Souther ass from being burned by nuke and Targa really look like he is Jared Leto Joker combined with Stroheim lol

I found Kenshiro informing Targa that it was too late for him because he was already dead very satisfying. Overall this game's story didn't exactly captivate me but watching the villain's head blow up felt well-earned.

You got one robot arm, that doesn't make you immune to Hokuto Shinken. Even Souther(Thouzer) with his Holy Emperor's body wasn't immune to Hokuto Shinken.

Some people are disappointed that this guy is the final boss, but keep in mind that Sega managed to turn an already established world and meld it into their own original story. They can continue it, and even improve on it as its own thing.
@@SkellyAa Kenshiro is actually pretty similar to Kiryu in the first place. Like Kiryu, Ken has an extremely strong sense of justice and is very kind to his friends and those he cares about, yet ruthless to his enemies. Even Raoh, despite the two being bitter rivals and having to fight to the death, Kenshiro still admired and respected him (referring to him as "Nii-san", a formal variant of "Elder Brother"). They're also both romanticized versions of the ideal man that one would aspire to be: tough, stoic, and passionate with their ideals. So honestly, Ken isn't way too similar to Kiryu; it's kinda the other way around :p
It's always possible that there'll be a sequel that will have more characters from the manga.
+Mr Skeltal Like someone I read once said in another video, everything that came after Hokuto no Ken 1 is like bad to barely average fan fiction at best.
Not sure if that includes this game too though. I've read many good reviews (from both fans and people who didn't know anything about the series), so maybe I might buy it soon.
+Mr Skeltal Not sure if they were the "bests" fights of all the series, but HnK 2 sure had some epic and great ones (such as Kenshiro vs Han). The main problem is the story, indeed. It has a lots of retcons that are way too forced and don't make any sense with anything that was shown before. The main villains feel like bland and poorly written rehashes of those from part 1, specially Kaioh.
It was entertaining, I can't deny it, but it was very unnecessary and subpar as a sequel.

In this game, enemies don't feel any bliss before dying of Hokuto Ujou Hagan Ken, very immersive.

He was always a cyborg.
He was rebuilt into a cyborg after the war. Doesn't stop Kenshiro from making him blow up like all the thugs he fought.
Man, the soundtracks for both parts are great. Like the one for the long battle sounds as though a choir of glorious angels have descended to provide the bgm for your final long battle to face Targa, and then the music for when you're fighting him is just as awesome itself.
And lol, he really did set himself up for that final attack at the end...
Apparently in the "Canon Difficulty" DLC this guy is Level 99. The same level as Raoh. I honestly find that very hard to believe that this guy is on the same level as Ken-oh. Its like, is there any reason he has to be that high?
Aside from that fact the fight itself is very very great.
It's probably to show how resistant to Hokuto his cyborg augmentations makes him.
@Xellos That would make sense. After the fight, Targa in denial of his impending demise says "But I have no pressure points!", so that's probably what that's about.

Trolled all of Eden and left me wondering if the dev team has competent writers. I have some, uh, beefs with Targa's writing in spite of how much I enjoyed his character and this fight. I actually have some beefs with this game's story overall, but I still enjoyed it.
Also Celestial Hundred Fist Rush is a very underappreciated technique.
Targa could be better Final Boss if Rgg give more build up for him and give Targa a decent backstory and solid motive because in the game he pretty much just a Speedy Cyborg Bastard with Gun. and the fact Kenshiro already beat him twice before. make Targa feel like a joke final boss

The story of this game is an original one with characters from the source material as well as original characters, this guy is one of the original characters for this game.

This stage is horribly burned in my retinas.
Not sure why enemies still use crossbows even though there are guns in this universe.
Not everyone can afford bullets, I guess. It's probably along the lines of why bullets are hard to come by in TWD. Crossbow-bolts would be easier to make than bullets (a sharpened rod with stabilizer fins versus the actual round, its casing and some gunpowder).
Guns and ammo are extremely rare.
He would be woefully disappointed if he fought a squad of NCR soldiers who then riddle him with bullets.
the real question is why people use arrows VS kenshiro when he has that hokuto technique that make him immune to them

Im fighting him at only level 35 cause i really didnt feel like spending hours completing sidequests but fighting all the minions used up most of my healing items so i can only get him down to about 1/3 of his remaining bealth and then he beats me

I play on easy, and cant get through the wave of the enemies. Maybe i just focus on main story without levelling up Kenshiro, or i just not good enough to play this beautiful game.
Nah don't worry you can do it, maybe you just have to level Kenshiro up more, because it is important for the later fights like this one

Well, not copyright strikes, per se, but the video with this kind of restriction gets either blocked worldwide OR copyrighted but in the sense that the money goes to the company and you get none, but with the video still existing. I did get one case of an actual copyright strike but that was because of the intro to the Japanese version of Yakuza 0 which had a Japanese licensed song (which was stupid as hell because I got the copyright strike 3 years later).
Either way, it's stupid because we're trying to promote the game by putting these videos out there, only for them to get blocked.
@@devilleon7 I know if you play certain songs you can get owners getting money from your video. Sad but meh. Really wanted to see the ending of the game and this Targa guys involvement in HOKUTO NO KEN game. Still in two minds whether to get the game or not. Its cool to see Amon in the game though.
I got this game with barely any knowledge about Hokuto No Ken, just because it's developed by the Yakuza team and because it is basically a Yakuza game with a Hokuto No Ken skin slapped onto it, and honestly you'll feel right at home if you love Yakuza. So if your concern is that you may not like it because it's too different, I don't think you have much to worry about, because it's Yakuza at its heart.

I Don’t Know Much But From What I’m Getting At, I Just Completed The Game Today And Once Your Done Fighting Xsana’s Father “Nadai”, It Switches Over To A Cutscene Sequence Where Targa Is Involved In The Entire Scheming Plot Of Him Not Wanting To Kill Yuria Or Launch The Missiles At All But To Basically At The End Where You Get To Him After Fighting His Entire Army And He Explains To Kenshiro When He See’s Him That He Wants To Destroy All Of Eden, The Entire World, Yuria And Him And He Feels Like He’ll Become An Unstoppable Force Of Power If He Aims To Kill Everything Standing In The Way Of His Power And He Proceed’s To Define Himself As “The New God” Per Se And I Don’t Know That Much At All About Fist Of The North Star But I Just Finished FOTNS: LP Today And I Am A Huge Yakuza Fan But Don’t Know Much About The Lore Behind This 1980’s Manga Series But Maybe In The Future When I Get To Know More About Fist Of The North Star, I’ll Come Back And Explain Some More To You?????????

Better with the Japanese voice overs. But I like the theme when Kenshiro is going through the Army of Ruin's gauntlet. And Targa is the real Kyo-Oh. He used Nadai as a way to be manipulated by Kenshiro. And Kenshiro was mad at Targa because Targa illustrated the plan.

Damn Targa really didn't deserve to be the final boss. Targa are too low for The Powerful Kenshiro. I understand they try to make enemy with unique Attributes but come on Half cyborg body didn't make someone immune to Hokuto and Targa are too weak and have lesser health than most boss fight in this game
I wanted Nadai to stay as main antagonist, he was way more interesting and complex character.
He perfectly fitted as he represented what Kenshiro through game, protecting Eden.
I kinda wanted him to show up after Targa defeat to be true final boss.

Hes actually pretty awesome, ends up using everyone from behind the scenes whilst every time he appears underhandidly just fucking with the cast and hoing for low blows. Hes also resistant to ken's martial art.
You need to see EVERY cutscene, to include the epilogue. They could have easily put 10 more chapters, with both Souther and Raoh rematches.

Taruga has a good theme, though.
Irvin Dness That's kinda the point. The writers inverted the series standard of the final confrontation being a duel between extremely disciplined and deep, moving ways of life to instead demonstrate how pure of a man Kenshiro is. Targa is _literally_ given the advantage at every possible point and still falls, because he is weak in mind and spirit, in the same manner as the Wasteland makes most people. It's a refreshing change to have an antagonist who the narrative fully vilifies, one who fully deserves to suffer. I agree that it's somewhat strange on the surface-level (and totally trying to cash in on the more recent shonen/seinen trope of having the BBEG's death be as cathartic as possible), but it works well.
Trying to invert something in such a way that it doesn't seem bad only works when you are doing it with more or less good product.
This game is thoroughly mediocre, sometimes even bad, and narrative is fitting for that quality, which is why the main antagonist is NOT fresh, but mediocre in every way possible. Some cheap Ledger's Joker wannabe on a discount.

Man fuck this Targa fight and the entire repetitive gauntlet that is the finale. They literally turned up all the annoying aspects of Yakuza in this game with the infinite blocking and dodging enemies at the end. What a terrible low note which really soured the game for me especially after all the senseless pointless padding.
Nah is not that bad. I think is make sense they want to make Targa fight slighty more difficult. You just need to fucking get good. I know the grinding in this game are *pain*. But you just need to play patient, smart, and memorize the enemy pattern

But seriously, unlike in the Yakuza games, I literally sped through the campaign (less than ideal side content completion) so you know my character wasn't leveled correctly towards the end making my life hell unintentionally. I'm pretty sure the ending would still be harder if leveled, but I had to drop down to easy in the last chapter. I'm ashamed of myself lol
The interesting part was I was fine up until the ending then enemy damage output and enemy count exploded into BREAK MY SOUL territory lol
@@DV-ou1yu Well yeah i agree if Eden Power Plant long battle are quite hard but the soundtrack and the design of Sphere city are so goddamn good. The last long battle really give me goosebumps. i know they add too much enemies but this moment really make you feel if Kenshiro are invicible. he are more than able to kill every Army Of Ruin soldier alone to save Yuria and kill that Asshole Targa. But hey i lost twice in Sphere City Long Battle and i still enjoyed it. My only issues is Targa are too weak

Geez, sorry for making use of the very valid game function of leveling up and blaming me for it. Maybe you'll have fun buying the game and fighting the final boss's 25 levels below his level? Good luck with that, though, because at that level against the final boss, dying in 2-4 hits should be what you'll put up with.

Guy probably didn't even play the game to see for himself how punishing this game is when you don't level up and get as many useful abilities as you can.
devilleon7 yeah the first few hours of playing the game on hard were brutal. Probably the hardest beginning out of any Yakuza game next to Yakuza 3 imo. Dont even get me started on the fucking colliseum duels, those guys can rip your ass apart even when you are evenly leveled with them.
