Now that was a nice way to represent Thouzer's "immunity" to Hokuto Shinken in the gameplay. Wish games did that more, i mean, your attack damage simply incrased and Thouzer didn't block anymore after Kenshiro realized his condition, but that was something "big" in the heat of the battle. Just shows how simple things makes all the difference when applied in a smart way.
Once again, you somehow made the attacks match certain parts of the tunes. Also, how appropriate that you used the Wingbreaker on him. "The phoenix shall fly no more!"
Had to scroll down way too much to find someone who agrees with me. While the fight scene was really well done, this game destroyed Thouzer's character more than any other... And that's in a game where Raoh doesn't love Yuria.
One of the saddest? LMAO! Saddest my ass. This is one thing I’ve NEVER agreed on. Kenshiro kills one of the the most utterly and unrepentantly evil villains of the series. Then we find out he has a tragic back story where he was forced to kill the person he loved most in the world, and suddenly his death is suppose to be tragic? BULLSHIT! It wasn’t a tragedy, it was a mercy. Kenshiro put him down like the mad dog he was. Kenshiro put Souther out of his and everyone else’s misery. Souther was one of the most evil bastards Kenshiro ever fought, and no sob story origin will change that, no matter HOW tragic it is.
That moment when you can actually use Hokuto Shinken on Thouzer is probably my favorite moment in the game, this fight in general really. After minutes of him just tanking everything like a bitch when Hokuto Shinken becomes effective its like, MMMMM.
I mean of course the best villain in the series gets the best fight, and this is not to take away from the likes of Raoh (who is fantastic in his own right). There's just something about Souther that makes him so cool and memorable, so I'm glad that the RGG studio did him justice. I'm using his theme for my PS4 right now and that theme of his is just amazing.
I find it actually hilarious Souther is not the main antagonist of this game despite he is way beyond more powerful than the actual main villain in this game
This is my favourite fight as well. I was really confused by the beating at first, but when I realized that it was the beating of Southers heart (which is how Ken found out that Souther had situs inversus) I fangasmed. I mean, the fight basically went exactly like it did in the manga/anime (minus the location), but it was incredibly well done, though I thought it was weird that Souther was lusting after Xsana. I mean, the guy lives on the philosophy that love is useless, I always took that as him also believing that sexuality is just as useless (since love often develops from sexuality), but the visual of Souther sitting on his throne with the glass of wine in one hand and Xsana in the other is pretty badass. However, I AM disappointed that they didn't put in Souther's "Shikanu! Kobinu! Kaeriminu!" ("No retreat! No surrender! No remorse!" [that translation is lifted from one of the other games and I don't think it is linguistically correct, but it gets the point across]). I love that quote and it should be in basically every interpretation of Fist of the North Star. But I love that they added the stance line. It's such an incredibly badass line. "Nanto Ho-oh Ken has no stance. Stances are for defence. I do not need defence."
The Drunken Coward My only disappointment in this adaptation of him is that he didn’t have his death scene. However, the fact that he’s still alive means he can come back in any possible sequel so that’s always good!
I think Thouzer has been one of the characters who has been handled the absolute best so far out of any character from the source material (I'm only on Chapter 8 as of this comment so it's anyone's game at this point), which is impressive considering he's been mostly relegated to this entire railroaded chapter where he otherwise has no real presence or screen time either before or after this.
I was a bit confused when the Boss card said "Thouzer" insead of "Souther". I had no clue he had an alternate name. Loved the Heartbeat during his fight, though. Nice touch.
30:01 Thouzer's pressure points should be inverted, why are the 7 stars on his body in their usual position? -_- (at least at 29:47 you can see Ken getting ready to hit them inverted)
Apparently they're almost as powerful as each other. In Original Mode, which is a mode that puts these bosses at their true power, Rei is level 70 while Thouzer is level 75. Other than that, though, I know what you mean. Rei is pretty damn quick with his moves.
Tried practicing with his wanna-be knock off at the coliseum and just concluded he dodges the most out of every boss. I guess that's why the dude was nick named "Untouchable" I think.
I hate to say it but man I wish Jagre was canon. I never seen a henchman like him and he would be a treat on a remake or something. "What. The... FUCK!?"
What upgrade did you get to have that circle prompt appear in place of the enemies' skull meters right away? Because I noticed the second the fight started, several enemies had their skull meters filled up right off the bat before you even started attacking them.
For me, he will always be Souther. First, it makes more sense to me since he is the successor to the strongest of the Nanto styles, which is "the Fist of the South Star". Thouzer just feels...wrong to me. Second, I love how his fighting stance is _literally T-posing to assert dominance_ .
what would have happened if thouzer had learned to master all fighting techniques and also learn to master all styles of fighting and also learn to master all martial arts and also learn to master all weapons
Like when he says Kenshiro’s a man and not a boy anymore. I think I’m wrong but isn’t it because Kenshiro dropped the mercy rule when fighting his enemies?
32:01 GO ahead and laugh, you sore loser. But i know the main reason, why are you so dejected the love: wasn't because of your master Ogai, who sacrifice his life for sake of you te become master of Nanto Soaring Phoenix fist? It's amazing, what really looks behind the so-called Emperor's ambition: at the outside, he's a merciless warrior, but on the inside, he's just a simple lonely child, craving for love.
Because of the transliteration of the katakana. In other versions Rei has been transliterated as Ray, Bat (Batto) has been transliterated as Bart, and Lin (Rin) has been transliterated as Lynn.
Skip to 19:34 for Thouzer, otherwise, enjoy the raid of the Holy Emperor in its entirety!
Let’s just say Kenshiro gonna use that meme for *SKIP* level

I love how Thouzer had dramatically increased defense until Kenshiro knew his weakness.
He was literally just T-posing Ken's attacks!
His mama was Fortune.
He was just standing there, MENACINGLY!
Do people reply to this annually?

Just shows how simple things makes all the difference when applied in a smart way.
Its also quite nearly accurate how they fight, nearly compared to the manga/anime.
