Nice video! Can you do a comparison against the La Marzocco GS3? Also, just to be clear, when you run a saved profile, the paddle becomes an on/off but does the water stop flowing at the end of the profile or does it need the paddle to be moved into OFF position?

Hi Vernon, Thanks for the comment and a great question! With the A-E profiles you need to put the paddle back to stop the flow. With the saved manual profile the flow stops on its own without returning the paddle to the off position. We will do a comparison with the GS3 MP. Honestly, a better comparison might be with an LM EP model as the R Nine One capabilities are more similar to their EP machines.

The PID reflects the brew boiler's temperature, what about the brew temperature in the grouphead?

Hi N, Thanks for the question. Rocket Espresso has a reference chart in the manual for setting the brew boiler's temp for a desired group temp.

It was a good idea to do this video. I thought the touchscreen looked a little janky in the last video, but this one makes me feel differently about it.

Nolan Reed Hi Nolan, thanks for the comment. You know what’s janky? Marc trying to get a close up of the screen with a short lens 5” away and making Andrew operate it at near 90 degrees off angle!

Can you make a video on how to descale it ?

Hi N/A, Thanks for the request. Unfortunately, Rocket Espresso specifies this machine be descaled by a professional technician. Best bet at this level of machine is to supply with water which does not cause scale in the first place yet has the mineral level required to prevent over-extraction, maintain flavor and prevent corrosion of metal components. We recommend the BWT Bestmax Premium filter system for that: www.wholelattelove.com/products/bwt-bestmax-premium-filter-package-w-besthead-flex

Nobody explains how the auto on and off feature works. I understand how to set it but do I turn the machine off via the switch? I set the time for it to come on and it didn't. So I'm not sure how that is supposed to work.

Hi Caleb, I provided a link below to the section of the video which points out the global setting for auto on/off. The must be on. As mentioned this is useful if you say go on vacation etc. You can turn it off when away for extended periods and all on/off times are inactive until you change the setting back to on. Main power switch needs to be on in order for timers to operate. Hope that helps!

Thanks for the video. The responsiveness did look not good in the first video.
I noticed already in the first video that the metal finish around the screen is a little rough (typically Italian) I hope Rocket can do a little better metal finish.
Last time I also criticized the different handle on the bottomless. Rocket now has a full set of the same handles at least in Germany

beautiful machine, but horrible user interactions imo. the touchscreen is positioned awkwardly, and the interface has an extremely odd design from the 80s
