- Chandani Chowk is a well-known destination in Pune and is located in Bavdhan. It is Entry-Exit for Pune.
Chandni Chowk is the main junction that connects Bavdhan, NDA, Pashan, Mulshi Road, Paud Road, Mumbai-Bengaluru bypass. Huge traffic congestion has been the norm due to the junction's connectivity to Information Technology Park at Hinjewadi via the highway. The area's wide connectivity prompted the civic body to plan redevelopment of the area.
In this video I have made an animation for each road on this junction. So it will be easy for everyone to understand which road goes where. In the last part I have put the aerial shots of the same.

This one is undoubtedly one of the most complicated traffic junctions. Hats off to the engineers, consultants, planners and constructors for making such a marvel a reality.
Making such videos requires lot of effort and study and hence you deserve lot of appreciation. If you could freeze the drone shots and explain the traffic flow on it using different colour codes, that would be great.

Big Achievement of the current Maharashtra government. This junction used to jam almost every day and was prone to accidents. In such a short span, our engineers, planners and construction contractors have built an engineering marvel. Just shows with right leadership and intent, Indians can achieve the impossible. There is new Service road adjacent to Bangalore highway, you can use for Satara To Kothrud and Vice Versa, no need to go to Chandani Chowk.

What if I want to go to Kothrud from Pashan? Do I have to take a right from Pashan circle and then take left from main highway? Or is there a dedicated flyover from Pashan Circle to Kothrud?
Take right from Pashan circle join service road take left and take Kothrud exit

Won't vehicles coming from Kothrud and Satara intersect while one going to Mumbai and other going to Mulshi respectively ?

Do you only shoot for upcoming or existing roadways? Can you not create an animation for possible roadways that can solve traffic congestion? I'm a resident of Dadar, Mumbai and the government desperately needs to build a parallel bridge to the existing Tilak Bridge but they are not doing it. And the beauty of my plan is that not even one person gets displaced from his establishment while building the parallel New Tilak Bridge. Can you kindly help with the requisite videography and the animation?

Good video and footage,thanx..I however fear the use of so called circle (known as round about in western countries) when there is more traffic..there are rules to follow when using such a design and its not taught at driving schools…well,ppl will eventually learn but if not chaos will be inevitable…a vehicle already in the circle has priority to exit before anyone can join it..cheers!

Very well explained.. but just 2 days after inauguration is it me or we all can see people driving on wrong side on the mulshi to Mumbai exit..

NHAI should have taken up RingRoad work first and then Chandani Chowk. All inconveniences that drivers, especially truck drivers and residents faced, could have been avoided. Even after erecting such big structure and all Tod-Fod, basic necessity of walking and road crossing for pedestrians is not addressed, you can find people dangerously crossing roads. Problem doesn't look fully solved.

Kothrud to Mumbai is weird merge. At that same point vehicles are exiting for mulashi and kothrud traffic will enter highway.
Otherwise vehicles will be crossing each other. Not a very good design and will lead to more congestion/accidents again.
Same way kothrud exit ramp is also not designed properly.
Kothrud(pune city) traffic to n fro is largest chunk and design is poorly done for that traffic. I think it will still cause lot of issues. I dont understand how these experts do such poor design.
Design is good only for mulashi traffic.
