  • People ask me this all the time: why do you use a helicopter to dry cherry trees? I just happened to stumble upon some older footage where I explain why I'm doing what I'm doing while I'm doing it. Now, whenever someone asks me, I'll just send them a link to this video.

    Always interesting, Maria, and coincidence that these conditions occur there (rain and fruiting)! Thanks for sharing!

    I
    I've gone back to fixed wings, but when I was building time I was offered a job flying cherries for a season and I thought he was joking 😂 It was only a few years later that I realized that he was serious about it. Now with Google it's a different world that's for sure.

      You really need both hands on the controls when flying so precisely. You might not be able to see it, but I'm making tiny adjustments to all controls during the flight.

    • @FlyingMAir
      @FlyingMAir  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Beats me.
      Well, I assume they used sprayers on the ground, which they still do. They can do a decent job on the low branches, but the helicopter gets the tops.
      You can see at least one sprayer in action in the video I'm releasing this coming Sunday.
