For anyone who is asking if this pattern works with other yarns, I tried doing this with a 4 medium worseted yarn and it worked but I had to modify it. For the parts that tells you to do "3 double crochet together in same stitch" I just did a classic bobble stitch.
@@theonlycake DC5TOG “Bobble” = yarn over, insert hook into stitch, yarn over, draw loop back through stitch, yarn over pull through 2 loops then STOP. I don't know how, but it worked. I haven't crocheted in years, english isn't my first language and I don't know what any of the stitches are called. Somehow, it worked. Even with me being completely confused by the magic ring and just doing something that made 6 stitches. I definitely did not expect the two rows of 18 to work on mine. I was so sure I messed up my count somewhere. But no, it worked and the reason was definitely not my skill 🙏
Thank you! I've successfully made one using different type of yarn, and it turned out very cute!!! 😆😆😆 Mine is a bite-size frog 🐸😂 Recommended 👍🏼 The tutorial is clear for beginners
I am so happy I found this pattern and your channel! Your patterns are so cute and I can’t wait to make this one. I don’t know the slightest thing about making patterns, but I would love to see more of these no-sew patterns if it’s not too difficult to ask! For some reason I just cannot get sewing down but haven’t found many no-sew patterns that I enjoy (had found an octopus pattern that I made for a while lol) TLDR love the video, love the pattern, more like this pretty please 😊
I've literally watched this eight times and I still don't understand stand the 3 double crochet in single st this is most frustrating moment in my life 😭
When your crocheting, the little v’s that you work single crochets into is called a stitch when your making your double crochets, instead of making one double crochet and then moving on to the next stitch to do another one, you go back into the same space that u did your previous double crochet into (usually if I can’t see the stitch it’s self I just look for where the bottom of the double crochet goes into and just place it there ) I hope this helped
мне кажется, в 6 ряду лучше между шишечками-глазками сделать не три, а две петли, а сбн оттуда перенести немного вправо. у меня получается правый глаз смотрит не прямо...
4th time getting this wrong and I am so confused 🤔 I'm doing exactly as the video says and I've messed up somehow? I just wanna make a cute froggie but it's not going right! I'm struggling with the eyes, they keep ending up wonky like too the side instead of ubove the froggies feet? Would love to know what I'm doing wrong :)
I had the same problem. I just did one decrease stitch in between the eyes. After the eyes are done continue the pattern, you should have a couple stitches before the end of the row so just use single stitches. You should end up with 12 stitches. Then continue the tutorial.
So you end with 18 stitches. You are most likely making the same mistake as I did. Rather than doing 3 whole dcs in one stitch, you ar going to start the same way you do a double crochet, and pull through the first two loops, but instead of finishing. The stitch, you start the next dc. Once you’ve done the first half of all three, you should have four loops on your crochet hook. Yarn over and pull through all 4. If you need a better explanation, this is typically called a 3 double crochet Cluster. You should be able to find some tutorials online.
