I did the night safari last night. I followed your suggestions and had an amazing time. Everyone queued for the tram while only a handful of us walked the trails. Several trails I walked alone, because was it was so few people on them. Great choice. 1.5 hours on the trails was enough to see everything, and I made it back to the entrance in time for the 8:30 show. Afterwards, the queue for the tram was so short, that there was no queue. I came out of the restroom, and boarded the tram immediately. If I hadn’t of followed your suggestions, I think I would have had the same experience. Thanks for the video. Cheers!
Yay! im so glad this works out great for you :)) I know by design people are so drawn to the tram because it's the first thing you see when entering. Seeing the queue form up also fools you to thinking it's something worth queueing. Have a great time in Singapore!
I just visited the Night Safari and followed all of the suggestions here and I had so much fun! Thank you for this information - super helpful for first time visitors. Keep up the good work!
We are spending 10 nights in Singapore in December and I am finding your videos so helpful! We will definitely visit Night Safari in your suggested order.
Hi, I was planning a trip to Singapore in mid-December and came across your videos on TH-cam - they're truly brilliant. Thanks for putting in all the hardwork to educate the rest of us. My question was specifically related to the Mandai Park Hopper Plus pass - although it has a 7 day flexibility, I was thinking about doing a whirlwind tour of all the 4 parks in a single day (to save travel time on other days). In such a case, what would be your recommended sequence for the park visits? Since the zoo opens earliest at 8:30 am and river wonders closes last at 7pm (before night Safari), should I sandwich the bird park entry at 1 pm, river wonders for 5-7pm, followed by the night Safari 7:15pm slot? Are there any alternate itenaries that you would recommend?
I just replied to your email! But for the benefit of others i’ll post the reply here too: Personally I don’t recommend doing all 4 in 1 day because you might have to miss out on some nice things while rushing off to the next spot. The best pace i recommend doing is to do the zoos at in 1.5 days: - Day 1: AM in SG Zoo until 4pm, then River wonders, then Night Safari - Day 2: AM in Bird Paradise until noon If you only want to spend 1 day in the zoos, you can do Bird Paradise in AM till noon, SG Zoo noon-4pm, river wonders, then night safari. But i find this extremely tiring and rushed. Take note SG Zoo, River Wonders, and Night Safari are in Mandai East while Bird Paradise is in Mandai West. I hope this helps!
Hi, do you recommend getting adventure tour pass for zoo or safari? It is SGD 550 for one private buggy with reserved seating in shows. The tour is of 2 hours.
Personally i would not recommend because i feel it’s so easy to get around the zoo and enjoy at your own time The only scenario i can recommend is if you are exploring with elderly or many children. In this case you get to be ferried around without concern for logistics. Otherwise i’d do the route i wrote in my other video
The last part *very end* of the video had me laughing... great video, informative.. had a little laugh here and then.. from your prev video.. just subscribed...
Once more again you have cooked with this video, really informative as usual and also packing wonderful footage of the wildlife in my favourite Zoo. I'd even say some of the footage here is among the best footage taken in the Night Safari I have slight disagreements with the walking trail being first since most of the animals tend to be awake slightly later, but even so it's an extremely good reason with the before the sunlight fades to catch some great footage. The Explorer's Outpost talks can range from lots of things. On Fridays and Saturdays on 7.45pm, they'll bring out animals ranging from the Tamandua, Pangolin and Armadillo. And other days with different times they'll be settling other animals such as Owls, Ball Pythons and so on When regarding the Clouded Leopards, they're mostly hiding the trees being an arboreal species. Also I'd say another highlight of the Leopard Trail is the Sunda Pangolin, but since they are extremely difficult to spot and they're moving homes eventually as seen on the new tram, that's ignorable for now despite them probably being the most important animal to spot in the Night Safari I have a feeling the Sloth Bear you took might've just been a rock and the ladies might've been hiding at the back of the enclosure lol, it happens a lot The trams tend to be a bit weird regarding the audio, sometimes it's loud enough, sometimes it's going to be just like your case And of course small nitpick, but if I'm not mistaken the Bharal labeled on the video are actually the female Markhors, the "Axis Deer" house 2 species with the Burmese Thamin and Indian Hog Deer Overall once again, very well done video. Absolutely loved this video just like your other ones.
Dear Singaporeans. If i can only see 2 zoos what would you recommend. Looking at this good video i dont think i would like to see animals in the dark ...so what 2 best zoos would you recommend for me to see in the day time?
aha this video is for you: th-cam.com/video/z7_Rgzl1hDI/w-d-xo.html if you only have 1 day, SG Zoo or Bird Paradise + River Wonders if you have 2 days: SG Zo + Bird Paradise
Hi ya can you do a similar video for Universal Studios pls.... dont want to run out of time from doing all of attractions.... Thanks in advance 😊 love your videos btw
good idea! are you planning to go there soon? If you're an adrenaline junkie like me, I recommend the Mummy, the 2 battlestar galacticas, and the transformer 3D. After you take these 4 ( in order ), try to catch the Waterworld, Shrek 4D, and the Hollywood-Theatre (the show is seasonal so always different) One of my fav thing about SG USS is that each zones are very thematic. Each gift shop sells unique things about the zone so it feels immersive. My LEAST fav thing is queueing........ Have fun :)
@dashingheights coming for 3 days b4 our trip to Bali ** because of your videos extended so could do Safari night and the river wonders 😀 have two teenage girls who are going to love the rides
@dashingheights sorry was planning on staying at the Amara Sanctuary Santosa because of Universal Studios now thinking because of Zoo and Gardens somewhere else maybe more suited - any suggestions? 2 adults, 15 year old and a 13 year old.... any help much appreciated
is virtual walking video tour is allowed? or should i say, is camera allowed because i noticed the guy when you enter the park, doing an "x" sign, not sure if he's pointing at you though hehe
Yes allowed, if i rmb correctly he was stopping people from entering the “member only” line. I bought a mandai membership for these videos so i could use the member line :)
it will likely be crowded on Sat night, Fri & Sat night are the busiest :') HOWEVER the good news is, if you follow my route you can avoid most of the crowd. FORTUNATELY (unfortunately) most of the crowd don't watch my video so they'll likely join the queue for the tram. Therefore doing the route in this video should still be enjoyable despite the crowd :)
