NEWwater is so pure that minerals have to be added into the water before it is suitable for human consumption. Otherwise, it will leach the minerals from the bones of the person drinking it.
Hi to all tourists who are visiting SG and Singaporeans please don’t leave your valuables unattended. You may hear stories that Singapore is so safe but doesn’t mean crime is 0%. As a former National Service Police, these petty crimes happen all the time and Police have KPIs (solving and establishing subjects) to achieve, with not a lot of manpower . So please don’t give them unnecessary work for these lost items and they can focus on bigger crimes .
I want to comment on the Chope system. The thing about the Chope system is that it isn't a law or a rule, but just a system, a system that relies on each other's trust and integrity. It wouldn't work if one chopes a place and another person blatantly ignores it and take the table anyways. People in Singapore respect each other, as well ae having trust and faith with one another. Truly a miracle.
Ya… somehow it works… yknow one time someone legitly LEFT his tissue pack on the table after finish eating. End up NOBODY use that table for the rest of the day 🤣
Thanks for the entertaining yet comprehensive video on singapore! Appreciate the effort! Plus its super accurate too I've seen all pf them... and some are kinda hard to watch 😬
leaving laptop/handphones in public places without any persons around are really luring the devil out of those desperate/poor ppl. They will not do so if they had been bitten once.
Hm? You didn't manage to tour the NEWater facility? They had tours to show how the water was recycled, and it's pretty safe to drink. The reason why it's not sold is because we're not used to the taste of the water.
I was referring to the “stigma” behind it in the earlier days :) I was at the NEWater plant, quite a fun place to visit, though location is not the most favorable. Looking forward to the DTSS!
Thanks for the love!! I spent too much time in my teens here so most of the people I care about are here :) In hindsight I was very blessed to have made the move because education and opportunities were abundant
Thanks for ya guide, im looking for first trip to another country and i think SG will be my first trip. Also, it safe for me as a high school student to try exploring another country :3
🎉SG is defn 1 of the countries to try out solo traveling. If you are ok with English, then you are all set. Google maps works well, signal coverage almost all area, trains & tunnels as well. Get a good travel debit card (mind the exchange rates) & you can use it for public transport directly.
Thanks! It's really nice to walk around the Marina bay area at night. I highly recommend the FREE shows around the area, you can check it out in my video about TOP 18 Things to do
yess, at first I was thinking that it fails to show how packed it is at peak hour, but I'm realising it'll be impossible to film. thanks for not putting any people who were just minding their own business, in front of a camera 😅 Though woupdve been nice for you to mention how packed the train is
ownership= 99 year lease (while most other countries are freehold). Rent is so prohibitively high and laws/regulations that tend to favor landlords and do little to protect tenants… Affordability is the last thing to say about accommodation in Singapore
for basic words like makan / jalan jalan / kiri / kanan / mahal the locals here might be OK. Malay language has lots of similarity to Indo language. So you can likely have basic conversations with malay speaking locals, but anything beyond basic might be full of miscomms.
someone from a "certain country" will edit the part where you shown & said .. "in Singapore, we drink urine" .. out of context & upload it online .. "你们看!你们看!新加坡人喝尿!“ .. "对啊!对啊!是这位新加坡主播承认的!“ .. & then later on .. “我听说有些新加坡人吃”S”的“ .. no disrespect intended .. but sir .. please mind what you say online cos there are such group of "creatures" roaming all around the world now .. this is not a conspiracy theory .. it is happening as we speak .. that said .. I do like your videos cos they were shot & narrated in a rather relaxing manner .. nice .. :)
dey u want release video pls dont be lazy and do more research. dont just ride on what you hear from gossip and treat it like a fact. newater is primarily used in manufacturing industries, any access production is treated with minerals and released back into the reservoirs to be fixed and filtered naturally by the reservoirs ecosystem. thus balancing it in all aspects to become drinkable again.
Nice video, but I must disagree with your statement that Singapore is a clean city, you should say Singapore is a cleaned city. Very often I participate in beach cleanups around singapore, and it's really sad too see how dirty beaches are. Also, so you showed the central area in your video which is very clean, I agree, but some neighborhoods are really dirty and trash is everywhere. Try to walk even around Fusionopolis, and you will see for yourself, not to mention Jurong or Tuas area...
Hmm for the most part people are mindful about their trash, and rarely litters. The biggest litterbugs i observed are smokers who ditch their cig butts. The beach carries trash from all over the place so hard to stop the waves. Personally after seeing much worse places SG is still top clean for me :)
Have to admit. Living here for 4 years now I rarely see a table that is choped… Mostly a person will stay seated without food at a table to hold it. So I’ve heard of choping but never seen it at least in busy food courts. The trash can thing, I think only Korea and Japan are places with no trash bins. Every other city I’ve seen in USA, aus etc trash cans are literally on every corner as well. As for corruption, well, journalists have no freedom in sg, look at reporters without borders…
The hawkers more popular among office lunch crowd seems to be more prevalent. Ah i remember it was also hard to find bins in Taiwan. Hahah indeed SG is on the stricter side, but i’ll give credits where it’s due
In Singapore Journalist do have all the freedom to report anything they want on 1 condition - make sure it is true & be ready to back it with facts. Responsible news reporting is what we wanted.
Singaporeans drink urine??? Literally?? No way we do that! 😅 I suggest you remove or correct that segment in your video as you may convey the wrong message to people. We have NEWwater which is recycled water but it doesn’t go down well with us Singaporeans, unless there’s a drought or water shortage!
NEWwater is so pure that minerals have to be added into the water before it is suitable for human consumption. Otherwise, it will leach the minerals from the bones of the person drinking it.
That’s what i’ve heard too! Also about how it’s an excellent water source for industrial use
NEWwater is highly demanded by industries in Singapore that require ultra-pure water as part of their processes.

Chopped was never practiced in Singapore up to the late eighties. I wonder who, when and why it started. Unbelievable.

It is true that Singapore is safe in general.
But as we say here low crime doesn't mean no crime.
Do still keep safe.
It is very safe, even at night
If you want to reserve a seat at a hawker centre, just use a tissue paper
