Safe travels, Sam and Eileen too!

This was an easy choice because it would be soo hard to improve on the total package. She doesn't have any faults that need addressing. Refreshing, really. He loves wind, she loves water. Eh, whatever. He says he has to meet her in 15 days. If it takes 19 days she'll be there.

Erik Aandeera hasn’t taken the bait either and as for the Wind Hippie I can’t see her ever doing it. Erik has gone a bit overboard with gizmos but considering the type of sailing he does and the nearly catastrophic crash he had I’ll forgive him. All of them provide great TH-cam content though.

Oof. Terrible way they left your boat after their "inspection". Thanks for the information on the app for anchorage. Love to watch your sailing adventures.
Had a similar experience with Morocco...going in was fine, out was where they tried to shake you down. This was 20 years ago though. I appreciate your approach to monetization, and happy to support the videos via Patreon.
In Morocco today or would be unusual for border cops. The king has ordered the police to handle tourists Erin kid gloves. Saying that, I have been asked for a "donation" by one local gendarmerie.
Diapers are also quite useful. They are available everywhere. I used the cloth variety whenever it was just seawater and the disposable ones whenever soaking up oil, diesel or sewage. A cheap old-style mop handle with just a spring clamp on the end is great for pushing them back in behind the engine or down the bilge. The cloth ones are a little more expensive but you can re-use them for a long time. The disposable ones cost about $0.30 a piece. But they are just so damn handy at soaking up oil and diesel spills and you just tie them up in a plastic bag and dispose of them next time you're on shore. Most marinas have a collection facility for oil cans and grease filled rags. Just drop them off there with your old filters and such.
Thanks Sam! Great videos! love the problem solving, sailing footage, sleep and eating schedules. If I had on and off sleep like you I would definitely be more stressed and not as cheery.
Yeah hear you there. I crewed many years ago and far from being single handed but sleep was still always an issue. However in those days we had to keep watch because there wasn't hardly any of he electronics these boats have on board today.
Vinegar is your friend. It's remarkably cheap. Cleans glass and surfaces. Kills mold. Add a cup to a bucket of water and poor down the bilge for odors. A spray bottle with 50/50 Vinegar and Water and a teaspoon of dish detergent basically make 409 brand de-greaser. I used to use a pump up spray bottle, HDX Model 56HDX, 56oz hand pump spray bottle from Home Depot about $9. I'd use 50/50 or 25/75 vinegar and water (no detergent) to spray off my dishes as a final rinse when living aboard. Helps to sanitize dishes washed in seawater. Pick up a couple of gallon jugs and some cheap spray bottles the next time you're shopping.
@@dooleyfussle8634 I actually use a lot of vinegar. I use the cheap grocery brand cleaning for well cleaning. I use the Plain White (non-cleaning) vinegar, I think it is 5% for pickling onion, eggs, jalapenos, asparagus and wide variety of other vegetables. One could pickle herring too but I've never done it. I always have a pint jar of pickled red onion in the fridge. Once you have them on a burger you'll never on go back to plain raw ones. I keep mine in the fridge but the beauty of pickling is it keeps foods fresh without refrigeration for months. Great on passages. But the rings will rust due to the salt air. So you do need eat them within weeks. But it requires no special equipment to pickle so you can reuse your jars and just use fresh lids and rings to pickle more fresh vegetables while traveling.
Lots of fishingvessels without AIS (and also NO NAVLIGHTS!!) on the coast of Marocco too, but I'm sure you'll find that out yourself eventually:) don't let anyone know you have a drone in Marocco unless you want to sign 100 forms haha! I don't think that matters on a 28 foot Cape Dory with its full keel. 40 gallons of water weighs 280 pounds about the weight of one fat man. That tank should definitely be outside and the electronics inside like Sam is indicating. That boat's wiring is a mess it really needs to be overhauled I mean he has stuff hanging everywhere.
