Fight On!!
Michigan fan here. Awesome to see USC win a big game like this
That last drive by USC was very impressive.
It felt like USC was the only program that somehow lost in the off-season. No one believed a new coaching staff could fix USC, yet no one had the same concerns for LSU. This victory felt so good and being able to shut the doubters up
Especially Paul Fuuckbomb!
@@robdavis3967 Paul Finebaum doesn't know ball
Eric Henderson has that D Line Right at Usc !
@@GeeB-bi8id I thought the biggest improvement was our tackling! I don’t think I remembered seeing a single missed tackle
@@extremeuzer3 I saw 2 missed tackles in the first quarter
U.S.C. Db's were actually hitting people like they knew it's what they were supposed to be doing ! CRAZY !
Them boys upfront for USC on both sides of the ball are HUGE. They also have a good quarterback, great running backs and great receivers to go along with a good defense. This USC team is a contender.
As an LSU fan, it is clear SC handled pressure situations better. LSU is also undisciplined with 10 penalties. Give the Trojans credit. They played well.
There were penalties (uncalled) on the Trojans side also. 3 out of the 4 biggest pass play USC had, penalties were missed or called in USC's favor
@@davidrawles1565i agree but lsu had a few uncalled flags as well so it kinda balanced out. it was a great game nonetheless. but usc ultimately had the better discipline and i think anyone could see that.
As a sc fan that was a great nail biter honestly them hossess at LSU should carry LSU that QB looks great too surprised they stopped passing in second game
@@6lazn220seems like that flags usc were getting were stopping their momentum. But hey it is what itbis
I agree with you @stormwarning1235, I think there were a couple of killer penalties, particularly the targeting at the end that put USC in position to essentially win the game. That targeting hit was incredibly wasteful, and really that player should sit for a few games to get his head together.
Paul finebaum crying right now 😂😂
It was a good game between two competitive teams .... USC winning on the last drive doesn't make LSU any better or worse ... one bounce either way could have gone the other way. Of course, in the ratings, W-L is everything ... and it shouldn't be. After this game, I see no reason for LSU to drop significantly in the rankings ... USC just proved they deserve to move up a bit.
Feinbaum immediately turned on Brian Kelly. We SC fans knew he needs counseling. Now all-a-y'all know it. In fact, I'm pretty sure that Feinbaum is the only one who doesn't get it. Soon enough the SEC will be done with his negative crap.

Should be that was damn good win
A school that has produced: 1. The most NFL #1 draft picks, 2. The most NFL draft picks 3. The most players in the NFL Hall of Fame 4. The most Rose Bowl wins 5. The most Superbowl MVP'S 6. You called it and took a lot of heat for doing so. Congrats.
All we saw was two teams play a great game. LSU was physically more talented on the line of scrimmage, but USC was the better team this night. Made less mistakes and better coaching decisions. Better under pressure
LSU line O-line was not as tough against USC D-line as people expected .
And less penalties
LSU offensive line looked like they regressed last night. Also guys are going to turn up if they know they are playing against potential 1st round draft picks
LSU O-line is great but USC D-line and scheme was the problem.

Great game! Never thought I would ever root for the Trojans, but since they are now in the B1G........

Same, I’m glad the trojans got it done. I cheer for all the big ten teams except Michigan.
Miller Moss looks elite bro. He was CLUTCH.
This SC team thrived without all the national media pressure on them, and they showed that tonight.

To be fair, I believe Danny Kanell picked USC but that's probably because he hates the SEC
Not a prophet when it comes to Notre Dame lmao
Klatt picked SC too. It was an easy pick imo, these mid tier SEC teams are always overrated. Only a matter of time before Ole Miss, Mizzou and Tenn get exposed

Really impressed by both teams, especially on D. It would be fun to watch teams like USC, Miami, and Nebraska ball out this year and bring back some of those old school rivalries
You underestimate USC's talent on defense. Not that it is elite, it isn't, but Alex Grinch was so bad that they played much worse than talented dictated. The truth that everyone said last year, applies this year: USC's defense doesn't have to be great, they need to be good. SC will score points on anyone, so if the defense plays like they did tonight, then they have an excellent shot at a playoff spot.
But as the season goes on they can improve to “very good.” Couple more pieces and they can reach elite
Not sure USC needs an elite defense or has the personnel to be top tier. However, if they can generate a pass rush (0 sacks yesterday), it's possible.
@@marcomangano1898 Im glad our defense is looking good just wish we had this change last year ✌🏽
@@goatbebryant4915The coaches for defense last year weren't available. Last year was painful, but it resulted into us having the coaches we have now.
As a Sun Devil fan who watched a lot of bad defenses under Graham, it's night and day watching what a well coached defense does compared to a bad one. Very few breakdowns, players playing in their gaps, and players taking good tackling angles. Scheme and talent are important but just having players being in the correct place is where you see how important good coaches are.
Big 10 beating the SEC. Great win.

USC has a great QB. USC has amazing WRs. That’ll give them a chance every week.
Did you call 911 for the shock? Hope you're ok.
2:37 Am just got home from Vegas and I want to say that my friends and I sat on the LSU side of the of the stadium and the LSU fans were really friendly and cool people. Not the best from the Trojan Offense but we toughed it out which is something a Trojan fan could not say in the last few seasons. Fight On Go Trojans.
Riley played the offense more conservatively. It seemed he was set in helping out the defense. He wanted to get them rest. The last 4th quarter drive to go up by 7 with 8 seconds, showed that Riley at will can put up points. LSU had some good stops, but if Riley really wanted to those stops wouldn't have meant much in the grand scheme of things. That last drive play was what I was expecting all game. LSU didn't have an answer.
USC looked good
Man, this far surpassed anything I was expecting. Our boys displayed some attitude we so badly wanted to see as fans. FIGHT ON!

I think both teams will get better but these two teams looked like top 15 teams.
I'm not happy as a LSU fan but, it's good to see we found our defense again.
This isn’t on LSU players whatsoever. This is 100% on BK and I’m not impressed with him at all. The defense staff was amazing. Nuss is exceptional and did wonderful outside of missing a few throws.
This is the first time I’ve seen LSU be physically outmatched on both sides of the ball.
Development isn’t there from the strength staff and culture has no LSU swagger.
They got out-swaggered by a west coast team.......just punished up front.
@@tacticalmattfoley I agree. LSU hasn’t developed anyone in years. Jake Flint needs to go! To be honest, USC didn't completely play to precision either. USC just didn't let their mistakes and shortcomings overcome their game. I get why Kelly was upset, but Riley could be equally upset, but instead he just gets back to work and prepares for the next game.
USC for sure put in work this offseason. Good first game

Opening week has been surprisingly good. How many weeks will measure up to this?
USC looked like the Oregon team we thought we were going to see this year. This game was an instant classic!
Josh, did you watch the game? I was embarrassed for the SEC with all the unsportsmanlike conduct 4 mind you by LSU. LSU is a bunch of THUGS! The first penalty the guy acted as if he had a gun and shot the guy in the head!! I was disgusted after that. Brian Kelly has his work cut out. I disagree. LSU looked like Colorado st. out there. Lack of talent and no heart was on full display
@@Slxckshoota12LSU really wanted this game. They played with heart. They were simply outplayed. That last drive in the 4th by USC was but a taste of what Riley could have done if he chose to. This is the most hitting SC defense that I’ve ever seen. Yes it’s only 1 game but it’s still the most hitting I’ve ever seen SC’s defense do in a game and I go back to the Pete era. I’ll admit I’m not the biggest SC fan so I know I could possibly be missing out on an odd year but I’ve never seen SC stop a running game as worthy as an LSU team. But they didn’t just stop the run, they punished LSU runners. HeII, the DB’s were hitting just as hard as the LB’s. Caleb was probably watching like watdafuk Lincoln Riley!! Phenomenal game from both teams. You just knew it was going to come down to whoever had the ball last and it just so happened to be SC this game. Welcome to the BIG Ten Trojans “Fight On”
It feels like the ball didn’t bounce our way literally. We had more opportunities than SC but didn’t come away with any of them. This is a weird loss because I don’t feel like we played bad at all. We just lost at a few crucial moments
We have four guys around a fumble and the ball bounces directly to the only SC player around.
We nearly get another fumble and then we’re inches short of an INT.
SC had 2/3 questionable calls go their way which extended scoring drives and we had a few bad penalties in horrible moments.
It felt like all the random bounces and “big” moments went the other way and we still only lose by 7. Our fans need to stop freaking out over it.

Honestly a really strong game from both sides. Both teams needed to prove something defensively and they both did. The one gripe I have with LSU is going for the 4th and goal on the first drive. I'm all for aggressiveness but that seemed a little too much. They ate up half of the first quarter and drove all the way down field just to score zero points. Built up a ton of momentum and then completely lost it. And maybe if they have those three points, things play out differently and they get the win tonight
I agree with you. That drive really stands out to me as a big factor in this game.
Lsu did the exact same thing last year on the first drive of the fsu game
true but at the same time USC blew a drive at the end of the first half with a missed chipshot field goal so they mostly canceled each other out.
LSU fans should be proud of those defensive upgrades

I love you Josh but i think you underrated the B1G thinking the playoffs would be a mostly SEC affair. The natty was an all B1G affair last year and might be one this year.
D'Anton Lynn is absolute miracle worker - twice over. Turned around the two LA schools' defense immediately in back to back years with offensive-minded HCs.
Thanks for talking me off the ledge, Josh.
There was a bunch of suppositions made about these teams. Maybe they are both good Os and significantly better on D. At least a partial reality is that both teams lost a ton on O from last year, and both teams were horrendous on D last year.
Probably the most neutral take on the game
Let’s get one thing straight. USC didn’t limit LSUs offense. Joe Sloan was calling plays wayyyy too conservatively and handcuffed Nuss.
