Texas AnM had not played like a ranked team for the past 3 years, yet the AP is obsessed with trying to rank them, despite never beating any team of note. I had Florida ranked 86 out 133 teams. Beating them should not result in a ranking.
A&Ms offense actually was fun to watch I’ve watched a lot of A&M football it’s been awhile since I could say that
@@ajcourtright5454 the offense was slow and flat under Jimbo. I would have loved to the offense pass the ball more but the running game game was strong
@@thavlog2705 You have a redshirt freshman quarterback starting, you want to run the ball. That Aggie O-Line needs to take a bow.
Florida makes any team look good
Our o line has definitely improved over the past few years
@@jeervinA redshift freshmen QB starting in the driving rain. You definitely want to run the ball.
Florida needs a school president, a new AD and a new head football coach. LSU got criticized for not hiring Napier but they look smart today
Sure, but at least Florida can get out from their mistake. LSU is mired in above averageness for years to come with Brian Kelly with no real path out from it. Rather shoot for upside than the guy that showed us for a decade that he wasn't championship caliber.
@@STL2212 Billy Napier’s buyout is $26 million and he did nothing but make the program worse. Gator fans would kill for B Kelly rn
@@robindodd1969absolutely not lol. Kelly’s buyout is like 60-70 mil. LSU literally can’t move on from him if they wanted too. He’s not bad but he will also never make them elite. At least now we can start fresh.
Yea we need a President, AD, and HC. ITS A MESS
@STL2212 Brian Kelly isn't a bad coach. The expectations from some of these fan bases are ridiculous. Everyone can't win 12 plus games a year. With the portal, NIL, and changing landscape in college, football coaches don't have a chance to succeed
Bruce Hornsby getting a shout out? Yes!
Josh you were calling billy a great coach for years like you do for every coach for every program. You are the last person to find out that Billy cannot coach in major college football.
Pate knows 0 about football. He’s a windbag and has no inside connections. He’s the biggest nothing burger in media
@@Bama6-UncleLou1Idk about that, there is alot worse in sports media, considering all he did was change his opinion and give someone the benefit of the doubt
Yeah, I don't think you know what you're talking about. I think you're living in crazy land where you heard something that wasn't said.
@@Bama6-UncleLou1lol well your watchin his show not the other way around lame
Maybe it’s because he was trying to cover for his friends on the staff that he just made a whole advert for to end the segment 😂
I've said this for a while now. Napier is a terrible game manager and a bad HC coach at the SEC level. But he has left the program in a state where all it takes is the right Pilot to win big. Whoever inherits Florida after Napier is fired, will be inheriting the best Florida program since Urban did following Zook.
I agree with your sentiment that Billy leaves UF in a great place. Because he does. He DID do a lot of great things behind the scenes foundationally. He just couldn't win.
I would disagree that the program was in a good place with Zook. It wasn't bad or toxic, per se. But I liken Billy's time here to be more like Muschamp's. Will left the program in a really good place in terms of culture and discipline. So much so that when Mac got here and his S&C sucked, players turned to their own personal trainers to pick up the slack.
I think of Will and Billy similarly - great guys with integrity and certainly some kind of organizational know how, but both terrible game day head coaches. Will having the advantage of at least being an elite defensive coach.
I would agree... in the pre-portal era. In today's reality, we can't say what will remain of the program come next season.
That is complete bullshit. This UF team is utterly devoid of any talent. It has a promising 18 year old QB who will probably leaves anyways, and that’s literally it.
@platoskant5673 true and a good point as look at the level of attrition for both coaching staffs and rosters in the modern era when even a fairly smooth transition takes place like at Bama for instance when Saban retired and they bring in an excellent replacement (there is no such thing in regards to Saban) so u can imagine how much more impactful it'll be in Gainesville
UM Fan here. Idk where you got your information but in the offseason Napier’s rebuttal to his lack of recruiting and portal players was that the players he currently has have gotten better. There’s absolutely no way that Florida is on good shape for the near future, especially with players that may want to leave for the portal and not endure a rebuild.
Gator fans, if it makes you feel any better, we Aggies just went through something similar, except our buyout clause was 2-3x more and we lost most of our top recruits. Bad coaching hires are the worst
Since Meyer left in 2010, ignoring interim HC''s, Florida has had three new head coaches or a new one every 4 years. Not a Florida fan (or hater) but really thought Napier would get things turned around but thought Dan Mullen would also.
Mullen won 10 then 11... Had us top 5 then had 1 bad year. Pre-maturely fired.
@@shaunbassett6335 Mullen didn’t have any business running a program like Florida. He peaked in 2019 and was crashing & burning when we fired him. Should have never been hired if Florida is serious about winning championships. Mullen was never going to win one.
@@shaunbassett6335 Because he quit on the job.
@@STL2212 he didnt quit on the team, he was fired (unofficially b/c a tiff w/ strickland and a booster) a quarter thru the season and the team didnt quit on him. jacob copeland was disgruntled and lied to a reporter and finbaum ran with that bs. now people just keep repeating it w/out fact checking. he had 3 winning seasons and a single .500 season b/c emory jones (in hindsight--ranked 4 and 5 * as a recruit) is/was not a p5 qb and anthony richardson was hurt. HE SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN FIRED
Mullen shouldn't have been fired
Josh don't feel bad for the other coaches on the Florida staff. It's quite clear most of these coaches are terrible to, when the players play with 0 care or effort it's Obvious things need to be flushed out. Josh we want you as the new Florida AD.
U should be a ref bc u must be blind and deaf. 1. The players have completely bought in to Napier system and play with so much heart unlike under mullen. The issue is Napier isn't a good game manager which is why he needed an oc and a DC and he would have one of the best programs in cfb. Also Josh said he feels bad for ppl some of whom we might not know of ppl like analysts and small time positions that will be put out of jobs due to this. Please stop being simple minded and broaden ur horizons. 🙄🙏
@@matthewlambele943 Players are liking posts saying their hc should be fired, lol
Agree with everything you said EXCEPT making Josh AD....
We'd get Napier like coaches if that would happen...
@magnusnaisu u rly saw a post and ran with it didn't u🤦♂️ 1 player did tre Wilson. And yes ofc he would bc he could be a heisman contender and a 1st round Pic if Napier would use his talents but he doesn't. But he's the only player who is reported to like any posts abt firing Napier. And regardless he still bought in to the Napier plan the past 2 szns. Stop spreading fake news and call it for what it is instead of exaggerating 🤦♂️
They can be good coaches… but rumors were they didn’t work together well.
If you can’t get your players up and motivated to play hard and with energy & emotion then you’ve lost the team. The players from the opening kickoff just seemed like they were going through the motions.
Little to no effort by the defense and the Florida OL is so bad.
We aren’t talking about a good aTm team either.
He’s got to go.
It was the exact same look from the Miami game. Nothing changed. That's what was most damning to me. We still looked just as flat.
The players put all there effort into the games week in and week out so let's just stop that nonsense. The problem is the play calling. Maybe if cover 3 or screen passes don't work maybe change the call. But no Napier calls the same plays every week as a player they are doing there job it's Napier problematic play calls that's causing the issues.
A&M actually is good dude, they have talent & a real QB now
They beat ND with Reed, easily
@@sterlingkellogg-clarke2738the gators make every qb look like hiesman contender take that performance with a grain and salt
Same sort of comments Josh was making about A&M when Fisher was assumed to be canned, last season. I hope he's right. I don't want any of the SEC teams to be doormats or jokes.
I want most every SEC team (yes, even Vandy, but probably not Texas. They're the exception) to worry every non-sec team they play.
A healthy UF program is good for the SEC. And I say that as an Aggie alum.
Someone mentioned Kiffin. Can't stand the guy, but I have no reason to believe he wouldn't have UF at 8 or 9 wins in a hurry.
A&M has 2 great QBs. They will both be needed to make it through the season. I guarantee you Elko will put the QB that gives A&M the best chance of winning in the game.
as a tennessee fan, i am happy to see florida struggle.
also as a tennessee fan, i know what it is like to have a long stretch of many many years with coaching carousel until you find the right guy.
As a longhorn fan, I concur with this.
What's sad is that as bad as UF's recent history has been, we've gone through more HCs than had losses to Tennessee in football in the last 15 years. Muschamp, McElwain, Mullen, and Napier compared to a total of 2 losses to Tennessee.
Napier's done, Pittman's done, Norvell's done. Am I leaving anyone out?
Maybe Hugh Freeze
I would have said Stoops until that Saturday game
FSU is stupid if they get rid of Norvell. He just took them to a perfect season. He is having an awful season but to fire him on a bad year after a perfect year is a huge mistake
Nah you really have to look at those coaches' buyouts in this day and age. FSU and Norvell just renegotiated his contract after they did well last season...fsu would owe norvell like 63 million if they fired him this year. They may have to wait it out. I think Napier's buyout is like 26 million and Florida boosters are ready to pay that if need be. Idk about Pittman
Jeff Lebby at Mississippi State
It was clear that Napier’s “strategy” was to flip a quarter before each possession to determine which QB he sent in. That guy is empty between the ears.
I don’t get why people don’t realize that head coaches at group of 5 conference schools NEVER translate well to power school head coaches. It’s a completely different battle to recruit random 2 and 3 star players versus trying to get the best players in the nation with legitimate NFL dreams.
I genuinely think guys with Power conference experience do the best, be that coaches from other schools, or coordinators who learned under some of the best coaches, for example Coach Sark who was BOTH a pac-12 coach AND a coordinator under Nick Saban.
I’m very confused because there are several coaches that came from the G5 and translated well. That includes Nick Saban who was originally the head coach at Toledo.
I agree that power 5 coaching experience is important but Billy Napier was an assistant coach at Bama and Clemson previously so I don’t understand who you’re referring
You do know that Urban Meyer was at a Non-P5/BCS before coming to Florida right? Duuuumb comment of the week
Reed is QB 1 for now. Probably the next 2 games for sure.
Marcel Reed has the potential to make A&M a playoff contender, due to his scrambling ability. A&M needs to have reed as the permanent starter and let Weigman hit the portal
They are 1-2 not 0-3. They made an error with the 2024 record they showed
Anyone else hear the Lane Train headin' to Florida?
Why would he leave Oxford for that dumpster fire?
Gus Malzahn?
@@tacticalmattfoleyBetter talent. Pretty obvious reason considering he always gets clapped by the more talented programs in the SEC
Billy Napier turned Florida into Vanderbilt or Kentucky of the 90’s , probably one of the worst coaches in all of NCAA history.
maaaaan don't drop Sarah on us....
UF and FSU in absolute shambles this season lmao
Bro, you did wonders with the funeral music 😂😂😂
The beginning looked liked some Corel editing from a mini dv recording 20 years ago. I assume you have a volunteer crew.
Main thing I hated about this game was how Napier managed the QB situation, instead of sticking it with one guy you trot out both and alternate them with each series was incredibly dumb he really needed to stick with one QB that game and clearly Mertz was the better QB that day. At least if the QB has a great drive let him stay on the field instead of going back to the other. I am honestly surprised that mismanagement did not get a mention.
Jon Gruden should be the HBC at the Swamp.
As a Florida fan, I appreciate the kid gloves from a lot of analysts. It’s been hilarious 😂
Yes, Napier is finished. Starting at 1-2? The absolute best UF can hope for now, is 5-7. More than likely, 3-9. Oh what joyous times. I’m sleeping like a baby.
Florida should have to keep Billy until the FSU game. What a shitshow that will be
I can hardly wait for that game !!!😂😂😂 8:05
Napier , isn't the only Coach @ Florida.
The rest of them are not getting their guys up to play.
And not looking to good @ doing their job, period.
Culture and recruiting are great buzz words to discuss during the Spring. But by year 3 those efforts should yield results on the field. Florida looks consistently unprepared to play, can't stop anyone on defense, and because of the first two gets behind every game and lacks the skill position players to score fast and catch up. I'm sure Coach Napier is a decent enough guy and I wish him well. But his tenure at Florida has been lackluster to say the least.
Billy came in and got rid of testosterone in this florida gator team.looks like their playing paddy cake instead of hard hitting football.the worst florida has ever looked under this unmotivated low talking no accountability coach
It’s just sad that they still haven’t officially fired him already.
Josh it’s fine to get a prediction wrong but you’re going to get some flak when you belittle your own audience for disagreeing.
why did you call us casuals anytime we said Billy Napier wasn’t a good coach?
Why did you call us casuals for saying he was on the hot seat?
Why did you accuse the AP voters of factoring Floridas schedule in when they were unranked in the preseason?
You deserve credit where it’s due for several of your predictions but this feels like one of those cases of “sometimes smart people say dumb things”.
Marcel Reed is Manziel 2.0…I want to see Reed throw the ball more…
Let’s not get carried away
One game dude. Yeah....just be happy we have a QB. I remember how fast Kenny Hills flame burned out fast.
So he's a drug addict who is a locker room cancer...🙄
UF Fan here, our defense would make an overweight middle age man look like a contender. Do not over react to your backup QBs performance.
@@alanstrickland9717 Marcel Reed is the real deal. He is very athletic and can throw the ball. Florida will get it together and win a some games the rest of the way.
Can't wait for November GigEm
Billy's a terrible coach. But he's a nice guy🤮
Once you hear Sarah Mclaughlin, you know the cold hard truth is coming.
I always try to get behind our coaches but I truly believe it’s time for him to go. The defense to me hasn’t gotten any better and the offensive line is horrible.
I don't understand why people think that Lane Kiffin will leave Ole Miss for Florida when I our football program is in a mess. Why would he want that responsibility?
Much better talent. There’s a reason why Kiffin always hits a brick wall against the talented teams in the conference. It’s almost impossible to be a consistent elite team at Ole Miss. same problem Leach had at Tech.
Lets be honest if he survives he will be fired after the ucf game although i was hoping Tennessee could put the nail in the coffin
It’s been over since the Miami game. Administration is the problem with Scott Stricklin, and they need to be fired first and foremost, then Billy and clean house. No Ifs Ands or Buts…
Well we were talking about Reed.
The Swamp should play Sarah McLachlan at 4th quarter instead of Tom Petty now
Everybody’s got to go!
They should just go ahead and give the Fighting Texas Aggies the national title already
Hard to say Billy is finished when he never really started. Never showed any sign of moving the program forward or anywhere at all for that matter. next coach up, keep throwing money at it until you get it right.
three days later Napier Is Still At Fla.
Thought I was watching Pate State programming, but I ended up at the Masters 😂
Why they havent fired Napier? No downside doing it. Might help the program retain some players. Cannot wait for the Gator player sweepstakes coming to the SEC!!
Don't be mad it happened. Be ecstatic its over
Drink the bathwater!!! 🤪 I like that better than "drink the koolaid". That ones getting old
well said...
"The rule on this show, generally, is that we talk about winners first..."
"So, about Florida..."
🤨
I get it, though. Scandals and angst put more butts in seats and generate more engagement than good news. So, yes, lead with that.
Sarah didn’t want to stop playing 😂
Get to Florida State, Pate….I wanna see Danny cry! 😁🤣👊🏻🏈
We all knew Florida was ass. The story of this game was Marcel Reed.
Sun Belt Billy and Memphis Mike are gone. I have no idea why Rkansas brought Pittman back but he's done as well.
Yes he’s done. Time to raise the buyout cash
They should've never got rid of Mullen.Napier just didn't wake up become a bad coach.
Stop with this ignorant take.
Ur a clown🤡
Mullen was out looking for any NFL job, he quit on UF.
They have to win 3 of their next 4(nearly impossible) and beat FSU(looks possible), just to finish 5-7. Yeah, he’s finished. 😂😂😂😂😂. What a great year.
Napier AND Stricklin are Gone
Jimmy Sexton is the one who is winning.
"Not a click bait show" while he has graphic on screen that incorrectly lists UF 2024 record at 0-3. Not a click bait show just a bad show.
Billy slow walked his first year as he evaluated everything. Slow evaluations and change continued to plague him. The world passed him by.
Good grief grow a spine dude
Imagine if Sarah just walked in from off screen…
Napier leaves me longing for the Ron Zook days.
Napier is such a terrible coach, he's actually somehow gotten worse
Gators are 1-2 not 0-3 like your graphics department thinks. "Not a click bait show though right guys"
What in the world is Josh talking about. Nobody cares about how good or bad a job the supporting staff is doing. This is about the head coach. We all can see that Billy Napier is not getting it done on the field. The conversation is when should he be fired and who does Florida hire next.
Josh was all on the bandwagon when Billy got hired. Now that it's clear that this wasn't the right hire. Josh doesn't want to admit that he was wrong. Come on, man, show some balls and tell the truth. Stop dancing around the obvious so you can get your back scratched by these programs.
Pathetic
For someone I consider a professional the addition of piano music was a nice idea but turned into a negative because you treated it like an amateur by not adjusting it to a volume where you could be heard easily. The volume drowning you out and the lack of transitions for the music tells me you gave no thought to the editing. It would have been a great addition if you had paid attention to music editing. Hopefully the next time will be better.
Agree, but I'd go further and say I just hate it entirely. It's silly and an annoying song anyway.
Recruiting is a huge problem … we at UGA happen to have the best recruiter ever in Kirby !
Saban was better
Fisher was better. Never seen Kirby try to sell a 7 win program to anyone
The entire UAA needs to be fired not just the HC and AD.
Who will be the winner of the Kiffin sweepstakes; Ole Miss, Fla, or Fla St?
Not him ok
Hott take: They need to hire Deion Sanders’s and keep the others in place. Personally I’d rather Mike bobo to go but hey call me tired of being able to bet on the same rhythm of play calling up the middle up the middle pass behind/at line of scrimmage
Always someone trying to promote the incompetent media-created low culture blowhard.
Go get Urban Meyer to fix this dumpster fire.

Texas AnM had not played like a ranked team for the past 3 years, yet the AP is obsessed with trying to rank them, despite never beating any team of note. I had Florida ranked 86 out 133 teams. Beating them should not result in a ranking.
But losing to Notre Dame means we are bad ? Their secondary is still a top 5 in country. Why is it A&M schedules a believed tough opponent and is unranked after losing. But then other teams win vs average teams deserve their ranking ? Missouri is like 6th barely won vs Boston College. Penn St ranked barely won vs Bowling Green. Notre Dame is not as bad just overlooked opponent and NIU has good players. With Reed A&M can win games. The offense will only improve and defense line stacked of 4-5 stars. Expect 9-3 or 10-2 finish at least.
Sir a&m played 5 ranked teams last season lol what are you saying
Does this dopey guy realize A&M was 27th and only
Moved up a few spots?
Wasn’t the fact that A&M won but how they won. A&M had 300+ rushing yards… no SEC team should have to do that
Worse is the fact we only
Passed the ball 3 times in the second half and still ran on Florida
Our Gators are no longer Gators... We are lizards 🦎 WTF Has happened at this program. Well, I feel like Napier came in and sabotaged this program. Miss St is going to beat our Gators due to incompetence. Its Not our Players its the coaching and AD.
As usual Josh is a clown. He still will not admit that he was wrong about Billy Napier. Instead he says I hate it cause he is a really good guy. Nobody cares about that we care about winning football games and anyone with half a brain has known that Napier is a terrible power 4 coach and needs to be sent packing
Ur the only clown here buddy🤡🤣 Napier is a really great guy. Great recruiter, nice guy, players love him because of his morals. The only issue he has is he's set in his ways and refuses to change playcalling or players or anything, that works at the lower levels bit not with the big boys. Pate has a lot of respect for Napier and he should bc he's a great guy. He never said he doesn't deserve to be fired just that he feels bad bc he truly is a great guy who's done some good things. So stop being so rude and ignorant 🤦♂️🙄

Getting any sort of pulse on A&M from Texags is a very bad idea. Avoid it and don't let it influence you.
Actually I take that back. Get a pulse from Texags, and take the exact opposite to see how normal A&M fans feel.
It’s called the zoo for a reason
Napier was always a bad coach, some of us just recognized it sooner than others i guess. i don't know why anyone has been surprised at all about the product they put on the field the last couple of weeks, his system doesn't work and he's been nothing but an embarassement to a program that should be a powerhouse every year
He's done.
Weigman wasn’t injured
He is a huge Stoner
Everyone on campus knows that
He was stoned during Notre Dame and Elko was fed up
If the rumor I heard was true he went to the nearest provider on Thursday before a meeting got some Weed then got high and Elko got mad about it
I promise you this is just rumors. He is indeed a stoner, but he was sick for the game. I’ve heard other wild rumors too. This is not true.
@@collinmarlow9094 If you're sick you do the right thing for your teammates and sit the game out. You're not going to win if you're truly ill. Yeah, there are exceptions, but they are far and few between.
Obviously you don’t tear down the entire football organization but you absolutely wash and rinse the coaching staff. Napier was an overrated SEC coaching hire like most are. Hoping Fla doesn’t scratch the Urban itch.
“I know a lot of people in the Florida program.”
STOP LYING - you’ve never been behind the scenes!
...didn't he do an entire episode where he spent a whole day there, interviewed Napier and some of the other staff, did a deep dive on the program and then recorded his show from there? lol
We usually talk about winners first… continues to talk about Florida🙄 C’mon man!
Get ready Ole Miss fans, UF is gonna go after Kiffin hard. Billy is a lame duck as this point!
I’m sorry Josh, but as a Florida fan, you’re losing credibility because of the Billy Napier support. He’s awful so whatever you saw behind the scenes, is frankly a load of shit
No, it isn’t. Pay attention to what I actually say instead of what you think I say. - JP
Pay Urban 20 million a year and go win nattys
As a Gator and someone who has given Urban a lifetime pass because of how great he was for the program..... No. He is old school and will not adjust to the portal and NIL era. His heart is not in coaching anymore. He needs to enjoy his broadcast journey.
FL is not a historic powerhouse program that has fallen on tough times. Take away the spurrier years and Meyers years. And what do you have? A below avg program at best. So stop acting like they are a elite program without an elite coach. They are not elite.
No team from FL did much before the 80s. UF did win the SEC in 80s before Spurrier though but what does historic powerhouse have to do with today. Minnesota, Nebraska, Army, were once historic powerhouses. Take away the best 2 coaches from most programs and it changes things...just admit you're hater and move on.
Take away Bear Bryant and Nick Saban and is Alabama really all that historically great? That's what you sound like
That’s like saying the Dallas Mavericks aren’t that good if you take away Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. Asinine take.
Take away Alabamas, what, 18 national titles is it? Yeah take those away and, yeah you got it...... Can't take away 30 years dude. Florida is a sleeping giant. Right now. The rest of the country are just a bunch of cockroaches, allowed to have fun while the lights are off.
