What's worse is when you're on schedule every week and the grass is still 8" long from over fertilization. We took 45 yards of clippings out of one association we do 145 small lots with community areas.
20 plus years in the industry has taught me quality over speed will yield customer satisfaction and retention. If you are low balling then that idea goes out the window.

It has been hot here in UK for couple of day's. Love the sun as it's been a long winter here. When it comes to the evening you can hear all the mowers cutting grass and I love the smell of fresh cut grass. Lot's of fun going on with the ninjas and as always laugh a minute. Don't know why pizza is being like this but he does have an attitude, bit like walking on egg shells which is not good for the team. B4 long it will bring you all down which is not good. Happens every year. I charge double cuts/rates for these cleanups and go to normal pricing when they are under control. They dont like it they can find someone else
I totally have lots of customers that always wanna wait til the grass is 8 inches to a foot tall before they wanna get on schedule it's annoying!!! That excess grass will never really hide away unless you take it honestly. It sucks!!
Piece is a good guy he just got taken away what he loves to do (by fault of his own of course) so hes sad about it ,be patient piece sensei knows when a ninja is ready and you'll be back on that mower in no time👍👊
Pizza is still pissed off that he is not on a mower at every yard. But he did that to himself when he ran over the large debris with the "Scab" Scag. So he has no one to get mad at but himself!
we get late lawns all the time ppl like to wait thinking they wount have to pay as much and we will charge them extra if its really bad and sometimes brush hog them. this one wasent that bad we have got knee high lawns and we charge 50 bucks a guy per hour to knock them down and mow them after that its normal lawn care

Little trick cutting down those long grasses pizza was doing I wrap some duck tape around it tight as u can then cut them low its stays like a bundle less to clean up brother it works well

Saving Green Lawn Care unfortunately that’s the name of the game when your the boss, but I’m sure it gets tiring constantly having to give pep talks trying to raise his morale. I know it would bother me, but anyways great video as usual. Me and my friend are trying to start a business of our own, both of us are in college so it’s tough lol. I have to say , I have had socks do that. They stretch out and make it uncomfortable as all heck. Especially if your boots are a little on the to big size.

I get people who say come back next week and say no I got bills then call back when its three feet tall and get upset when I jack up the price Im putting excessive wear on my machine for you, you can afford 40 bucks.
I'll be the guy who sticks with pizza. Reasons being he's good at what he does and I believe he can run a crew. This is very exhausting work so to expect someone to be in a great mood all of the time I think that's asking for too much. Pizzas packing about 15-20lbs of extra weight right now which will have your butt dragging. I know I lost 100lbs and know the effects it has on you. Nick pizzas been with you the longest we don't see everything. as you say its your company so the final decision is yours. If the guys don't give up on you I wouldn't give up on them. These guys also see how you live and you've worked hard for that but IMO at times they have to feel like they would like to have that some day so again IMo it can be depressing because they are not there yet. Like the 6 million dollar man build Pizza to be your other crew leader that's what good manager do. If he wont come along for the ride then cut him loose. Just don't give up on him. This is coming from a 60 yr old man who's supervised people for over 30 years both in the Army and private sector. That spitting chewing tobacco thing has to stop though, especially near customers properties. Build the Pizza! I'm sticking with him he's going to make you money and in turn you can help him. Don't quit on him.

Get some go pros An chest mounts for your guys so we can see what everyone is doing and get multiple views and who knows someone might even learn how to do something new or improve what they already know about the lawn care business!
With respect to all your employees - There comes a time where you have to take charge and lay down the law - shape up or ship out. You could be the best worker in the world but if you create a toxic environment for your fellow employees, its time for a change. You're de-motivating everyone else by being allowed more leeway just because of your performance and long work history. Keep in mind, there are times where the customer sees all. If you have a worker with an attitude problem, they will see it. This will hurt your business more than someone slacking off.
