    Unfortunately I've also heard some negative reviews about Xppen from a friend. :/ It's a shame. I hope it's a rare thing and that things improve over time.
    I only recently got my first screen tablet, but its a Huion. Did a ton of research beforehand. It's been good so far, and I'm praying lol. I'm sorry for your experience.

      So far, I've heard good things with Huion. Lot of artists I follow on Twitch have them and seem to really enjoy them so there is that. I switched to the Huion Inspiory 2 and so far it's been fine. The pressure levels and pen alone feels so much different than the XP Pens I had (in a good way).
      Fingers and toes are crossed that everything works out ❤️

    I didn't have a graphic tablet, just a pen tablet by them, but it up and stopped working one day and I barely even had it for that long...which is a shame because it was my first experience with a drawing tablet of any kind, and the break was very sudden, it was doing the same thing yours was doing in a way, drawing on it was impossible.

    ive had 3 screenless tablets in my digital art journey, two wacoms and an xp-pen, and ironically, the one who lasted the most is my XP pen (my wacoms lasted 1 year while my deco 07 is 3 years and counting lol)
    from the info on the video i think the problem on your tablet was totally the drivers, i use a version of the drivers that doesn't have the "launcher" thingy (i only know about this 'cuz ive installed it on two different devices and accidentally installed the launcher on a laptop) so it doesn't auto-update or anything like that and its working just fine.
    i think it's totally a shit thing of them to not have older drivers available on their website, if your backup tablet worked totally fine before and doesnt work after you updated it, it's a driver issue, and you won't be able to solve it UNLESS you find someone who has an older version and that person konws how to backup it and send it to you, something that could be avoided entirely if they had just. kept de godamn old versions on their site. and also wow that customer support was just awful
    anyway thank you for the video! i'm a big fan of my xp-pen after my second wacom started having problems after 1 month of use (my pen fell on the floor and i had to press down hard for it to register, i couldn't get a replacement because the pen was almost the same price as the tablet itself), but i'll keep the driver thing in mind before recommending the brand to someone else

    When I had a XP-Pen back in 2018, it gave me black screens at random. They send me a new cable, helped a little. In the end I just stopped using it.

      As I stated in the video, I might've honestly had a lot of bad luck with mine.
      I can offer some advice tho for some troubleshooting tips should you need them.
      1) Drivers - if you download the latest one and it doesn't work well, try the older one. The usually have the latest driver and the previous one. They used to have it where you could download drivers since basically the beginning of the model's lifetime but I have not found that option recently of this month or so. The fellow artist I talked with also had trouble finding it as well so it may be something they decided to remove. You can also try uninstalling and reinstalling. I've been told sometimes that works, but it didn't help me personally, but I did want to mention it.
      2) Cable Connections - If there seems to be connections issues (i.e. disconnecting/reconnecting/lag, etc) you can always check the cables themselves and the pc ports. I know many people (usually the corpos themselves) tend to immediately blame your own pc over the product itself, but if you can say "yeah it aint my pc port" that deflates that argument entirely that it's YOUR pc and not their cables. I have seen XP Pen offer the cables separately so if the cables themselves need to be replaced, that is an option as well that will save you some money rather than buying a whole 'nother tablet.
      3) Restarting - Seems basic, but sometimes just restarting the tablet (like disconnecting it entirely and then reconnecting it after a few mins) can help. Although, with mine, the problems continued, sometimes doing restarts can work, but I will say it is usually a driver issue by that point.
      I really hope you don't deal with anything I did, so my fingers are crossed for you! I hope something here helps you should anything happen.
      Happy drawing

    same thing was weird with my xp pen tablet, the only drivers that worked was the ones that came with the usb stick, and none of the updated drivers worked... customer service was unhelpful, they just told me not to use clip studio and use an alternative :p

    • @emberberryart
      @emberberryart  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Wait, what? Not to use Clip Studio Paint? Oh my, I would've been a smartass and been like "oh? Are YOU gonna pay for my photoshop then, sir?" But then again, that is me and I would've chosen chaos over such a response. That is crazy. I'm so sorry you had to deal with that.

      You should have told them to pay for another software to use

    I was using a XP Pen 22" 2nd Generation for a while, and it's slowly been giving me a grief and it's disappointing considering the amount I paid for it. I have switched back to a simple Wacom Intuos on the PC.

      I'm so sorry you had a similar experience 😔 it's so freaking stressful. I'm glad u had a back up so you at least didn't have a huge halt to everything you're doing.
      I've heard the intuos are quite good. I'm looking into the intuos pro at some point. It would at least be cheaper than the screen ones but good quality (I hope. I'm so scared with tablets now 😆)

    I feel like youtube is spying on me because i'm using this tablet right now 😭

    • @emberberryart
      @emberberryart  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If it's working fine, then u may be good! Just be mindful of the drivers and updating them bc they seem to break often. But if for some reason u need to and it breaks the tablet functionality, contact customer support and give them the version number and tell them your issue. They will probably give you another driver to download.

      Big thing seems to be drivers, so if you can, avoid updating them if your current one is working fine. If it starts acting up, you could check the connectors. I have heard of ppl needing to replace those but it'd be cheaper than replacing the entire thing.
