Hey there Brad. I really love all your videos of reviewing drawing tablets and you giving a lot of positive feedback from your videos. I’ve been watching your videos of drawing tablets and I’m loving your reviews on XPPen tablets lately. I watched your video on the XPPen Artist Pro 15.6 and I seriously love how it looks and how the way you used it came out pretty nicely.
I'm so glad I held out buying the previous version. The reason I'm looking into this model (16 Pro) is that sweet sweet color gamut. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've never seen another tablet that has a higher color gamut as the 16 Pro, not even more expensive models or other brands.
I picked up one of these new tablets myself a few weeks ago and so far im super impressed. I wish it had better viewing angles as I find them quite bad even for IPR, but for the price its really good! The 16:10 aspect ratio is also great for this tablet format

Great video, I just bought a 14” gen 2. Connected to windows pc. If set to extended screen the pen is moving curser on monitor but not tablet. If set to duplicate the scaling doesn’t work. Main monitor is 2k. Any ideas how to set this up ?
I had the same issue on my brand new xp pen 16 pro gen 2. Keeping as Extended monitor, I've noticed setting the tablet as your Main monitor can fix it. Or on the monitor preview where you see Display 1 and 2, I've had some results switching them and Applying changes, then switching back and Applying changes again.
These surely aren't proper fixes but it's all that helped me so far. I initially thought it was an outdated driver but I tried latest and older versions. No matter which I use, the app always gives me a prompt saying outdated version is detected.

@@tristen_grant Pen displays are not all cross-compatible, they each use different protocols and digitizers. There's Wacom AES, Wacom EMR, USI 1.0 / 2.0, Microsoft N-trig / MPP 1.2 / 1.5 / 1.51 / 2.0 / 2.5 / 2.6 (where all of the MPP pens are forwards-compatible but not backwards compatible), Huion's version, XP-Pen's version, whatever the heck Apple uses for the Pencils (which are also not cross compatible), Synaptics... the list is massive and it's impossible to know unless you find someone who has all of the different pens and tests it themselves.
I'm still waiting for a larger version of the 2nd gen pro. I want a 22-inch tablet, but their gen1 pros and non-pros all have only 1080p res and that's not even enough pixel real estate for paint tool sai 2's interface anymore.
Look amazing but I think I will stick with trying to get the Huion studio. Also Brad how do I get windows ink to stop in Adobe I've tried everything. I even made a registrar file to stop it. It keeps bringing up a right click when I try to draw slowly.

@lesnacke huion have come along way. I would prefer to get the wacom 24 with the add pc in the back. But they stopped with the pc, you can't get it anywhere.
These are called "pen displays" and you need to plug in a computer or laptop, these are not iPads or Samsung tablets. In case that is what you ask. Think of this as a computer monitor that you can draw on with its own stylus.
i used to use a graphics tablet with csp with an apu/integrated graphics (512mb of vram i think?) and 4gb ram, it worked perfectly. i think raster art programs rely much more on ram than on the graphics card, and even then a low-performance device can still get the job done
I'm not a big fan of remotes, I get disoriented easily and with my 13.3 pro I still push the wrong buttons sometimes and I don't like moving my arms that much when I'm focusing on my work, although that 16k sensitivity sure does sound nice tho and the brushed aluminum edges really looks enticing, but I think I'll give it a pass or when the price of it drops.
If I did not have my 6th gen iPad mini I would consider buying this drawing screen. I am a hobby artist in my 40's. I enjoy art and I enjoy devices that let me create art. The 6th gen iPad mini does so much more than just drawing on it. But I would consider the XP-Pen Artist Pro 16 (Gen 2) if the iPad did not exist.
Someone please help! do xp pens have to be plugged into a computer? or is that optional?? i don’t want to buy it without knowing. someone please let me know
It’s a pen display, it needs to be plugged into a computer source to display the image. If you want just a portable drawing tablet without the computer then just get an iPad Air.

this one has laminated glass which is the screen protector itself. but you can still buy from 3rd party shops if they have film that supports this model
Does the stylus work on MPP (Microsoft Pen Protocol)? If you used it on a Surface tablet, would it work? Or does it have to be the XP Pen Displays?
Its a display tablet.
It keeps bringing up a right click when I try to draw slowly.
do u really think thats a great idea to buy any "studio" standalone tablet? huion studio 24 - $2400 USD and gives you 220 nits of brightness... its not like its cheap, u cant upgrade it, if anything goes wrong its gg bro. i would never buy that unless money is no issue
@lesnacke huion have come along way. I would prefer to get the wacom 24 with the add pc in the back. But they stopped with the pc, you can't get it anywhere.
Its so annoying that they dont include cables with the tablet. Not everyone is connecting to a laptop.
hello sir im willing to start animating my cartoons and for that is this tablet good for me
In drawing software like csp, how would these tablets run without a graphics card? would integrated graphics be absolutely necessary in that scenario?
These are called "pen displays" and you need to plug in a computer or laptop, these are not iPads or Samsung tablets. In case that is what you ask.
Think of this as a computer monitor that you can draw on with its own stylus.
To add to what @franciscodetonne4797 said, your laptop/desktop doesn't need a graphics card to run one of these.
i used to use a graphics tablet with csp with an apu/integrated graphics (512mb of vram i think?) and 4gb ram, it worked perfectly. i think raster art programs rely much more on ram than on the graphics card, and even then a low-performance device can still get the job done
No shoelace test?
I'm not a big fan of remotes, I get disoriented easily and with my 13.3 pro I still push the wrong buttons sometimes and I don't like moving my arms that much when I'm focusing on my work, although that 16k sensitivity sure does sound nice tho and the brushed aluminum edges really looks enticing, but I think I'll give it a pass or when the price of it drops.
A big plus of having a remote is it does make it alot easier for left handed people.
If you want just a portable drawing tablet without the computer then just get an iPad Air.
so again must be connected to pc..not art tablet made to use then with pc?
Buy ipad or samsung tab if don't want to display tablet with PC
can you use Hipaint on this tablet ?
Is there an eraser on the pen? It looks similar to the wacom eraser bit!
Yes
What's your favorite tablet, Brad?
Hi Brad, thanks so much for the video, much appreciated. What are your thoughts on this display vs the xppen 16 4k? Currently in my country they not too different in price?
Which one is better
XPPen Artist Pro 16 (Gen 2) Graphics Drawing Tablet
XPPen Artist Pro 16TP 4K Drawing Tablet Display
4k option is better as it has that 4k resolution, the one shown in the video is 2.5k resolution.
I wish they made another vereion of this tablet but with the shirtcut keys on the tablet. But overall very good!
