Absolutely a great podcast! When Dan described what he thought was his purpose for being in fighting in the war, how he described what he saw the emotions were pure in every form and I cried with him. Truly an amazing person and I thank you Mike for all that you do in the veteran community, keep up the great work!

What made this such a great interview is Dan's brutal honesty about his life and experiences....what was great about this guest....when Dan had a long talk.....Mike just listened , not interrupting .

@@MikeRitland Really loved the whole listening to my dog burn to death in a building part and the shooting animals in Montana. Real hero. 🙄
I had to turn him off after the dog portion. I was trying to sleep to this. Woke me up. He should stop talking about animal murder and start talk about killing bad guys. Thats his like only job.
What is wrong with you guys taking out your aggression on little animals? Its a puss move.
Please don't tell me this is one of Joe Rogan's security seals? 🙄
He needs to take his behind to a wildlife rehab sanctuary and learn how to respect and heal some wild animals. It's annoying listening to it. Pick on something your own size (that doesn't mean bears) go join whatever blackwater turned into and have a nice day.

I’ve said this before, but it bears repeating…..Mike is the best damn interviewer that I’ve ever listened to, and I listen to a lot of podcasts! He asks questions of his guests that a lot of listeners, including me, want to know the answers to. Best podcast out there.
Please keep up the great work Mike! Outstanding!
As far as Dan Cerritos….what a man! The kind of man to admire and aspire to be. A self-made man and hero.

Taco seems like a lovable dude,I fell asleep last night half-way through and woke up got coffee and had to finish listening this morning... I listened to Shawn Ryan,Marcus and DJ tell their stories about ibogain therapy and it sent me down the rabbit hole wanting to hear about other people's experiences. I think it's therapeutic just hearing them. Thanks for telling us your story Taco

I love every episode, but THIS?! THIS is what I’ve been searching for. The HONESTY, the stories, the detail, the emotions. I understand all operators hold back due to not wanting to boast or relive the situations, maybe out of respect for others, but THEIR stories need told and heard. This is by FAR the greatest episode to date. Again love them all (very seriously) & thank them for everything they did, but they NEED to let their stories be heard, and we civilians need to hear and understand their stories. Fucking love this guy 🗣💯💪🏻🇺🇸🤙🏻🔥🔥

This was an extremely powerful episode on healing❣️Although I didn’t know Dan-RIP 🙏🏻, I absolutely respect and love how he shared the most vulnerable aspects of his life bc there are a lot of men and women needing support in speaking about their difficult experiences. It’s painful work 💔, digging in to those parts of our lives that crushed our souls, but healing can only transpire if we’re willing to confront that darkness, feel it, sit with it, move through it, search for and find understanding, and ultimately share our truths without shame, but instead with a newfound love and respect for ourselves and all those around us. Finding forgiveness in those that hurt us the most is powerful! And it helps us take more responsibility for our actions as well. Wow, I truly felt this man’s words deep within my heart and soul❣️Friggin’ beautiful work supporting veterans ❣️🙏🏻💗Thank you for sharing this man’s journey 🙏🏻

Real stories that put people in the brutal business of war fighting. I am very appreciative that our country in spite of it’s problems, can produce men who perform at such high levels in terrible circumstances. As a veteran, it humbles me to listen to their sacrifice. That you lads, for your extraordinary service to our country. There are so many times I wish the doors they were kicking in were those of our children running business in D.C. I did DMT by complete happenstance 10 years ago at a very bad time in my life when I was 17.
If my trusted friend who randomly gave it to all of us had given us something else instead, I probably would’ve done that instead.
DMT saved my life, and gave me the mental tools to recognize bad patterns vs good patterns, and how those effected both myself, and the people around me. It set me on a path to completely change my life for the better.
I haven’t done it since. Haven’t felt the need, although I’ve had a PTSD diagnosis for several years now, and an unimpressive Navy DD214.
DMT can help so many people.
It can both change, and save so many lives.

Mike, @ 1:15 - AMEN! This was an amazing interview. I feel strongly that anyone who enters elected public service should be required to sit with the men who made up the sharp point of the spear and listen to their stories and opinions.
I can appreciate how the true details of your collective experiences are not on par with what most people can comprehend. But I think we have a responsibility to speak truth to these events and share these stories with our up and coming generations so we can learn from our history and make better decisions.
May GOD bless all those in harms way doing the things that most could never do.

Amazing man. Amazing men. Another amazing story that I can’t thank the two of you enough for.
